    ATTN: I mentioned a 3000W maximum power output in the video, and questioned it. The good news is, it wasn't the MAX OUTPUT, it was the surge capability. Thanks for watching!

    Greetings Sir, I noticed when charging via solar and powering a load that the input sometimes stops showing even though it's still getting power from the panels.
    They said it's supposed to work that way and while I understand, it should show input and output no matter what.

    What you didn't notice, is that during the time you unplug from the power cable will running the hairdryer, there was a drop in watts. It was 278 watts when direct to AC, drop to 239-240w when direct to the battery.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Před rokem +4

      Yes I noticed, and that was explained in the video. The reason why the wattage dropped is because my AC Mains was around 121.5 - 122v, and the power inverter produces 112 volts. That's why it showed a drop-in wattage.

    • @Luc_Skywalker
      @Luc_Skywalker Před rokem +1

      @@electronicsNmore So, in other words, if this unit cannot support the wattage the appliance requires, then the appliance could suffer it's performance using this product, right?

    I just received my DaranEner power station and it will not charge with the AC power plug. Do you know how the reset button works? I push it and nothing happens. Also is there a customer support phone number to call in the US? It arrived with a 72% charge on it so it has been charged before.

      I've tested a lot of high power output portable power stations, and many did extremely well. I liked this unit, but outside of minor things like the AC outlet covers, I wasn't happy with the jittery soft start, the fact that the PPS had trouble starting a second inductive load, and the PPS refusing to turn off the output when overloaded. If it had a smoother soft start, and was able to power a second inductive load, I would highly recommend. I can refer you to my Energizer, Oukitel, and Mango power station reviews below. Would be great to show how you would build the adaptor for car charging. I understand to concept/components, but would be helpful to show in a seperete video.. In regards to this unit, I don't like the AC output. It seems to drop the voltage in order to accommodate the load. Wondering if that can be disabled. Other units offer this, but they normally have a way to disable. Excellent review!!

      Almost all the power stations I tested use the same type of soft start. The issue with this one is that it wasn't really smooth. I have a video below that shows how the dc-dc converter works. Glad you enjoyed the video.

  • @stans5270
    @stans5270 Před rokem

    If they made the hinge go all the way across the top of the outlet covering, the hinge would act to keep the water off the plug. Also, they could put a nipple and hole to hold the flap in the open position.

    • @stans5270
      @stans5270 Před rokem

      In this configuration, cutting off the hinge and attaching duct tape to the top of the flap would accomplish the same result.

    I should of wanted ....my question was answered about DC charging....but tont helpful if taking tent camping and no solar panels.....I like the pass thru...but heard difference when power unplugged ..saw sounds a bit slower....waiting for price....but this don't look like a great unit...good for a fan and light if power goes out...but if no panels or strong sun...your screwed for charging...

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Před rokem +1

      You'd need a DC-DC boost module for 20 bucks. The difference was due to the PPS having a 112V output compared to my house 121.5V output.

    The placement if the AC sockets above the display and controls makes it a non-starter for me. Whoever designed the layout for this unit needs to find a new line of work. It's a disaster on the outside. I would have no confidence on the inside design.
