- Pete Cottrell made an awesome video exploring how Slipknot's "Pyschosocial" would sound if it was created by Metallica. Slipknot and Metallica have been two of my favorite bands for a long time and I feel like I've been imitating them my entire life.
It was finally time to put that to the test. I put on my big wristbands, Hot Topic rings and edgy leather necklace to bring you my most authentic James Hetfield impression yet.

It actually sounds how I would expect Psychosocial to sound if it was done by Metallica. It was good instrumentally, but I especially enjoyed the vocals, with all the Hetfield trademarks like "Yay-yeah", "OOH" and "Ooh yay-yeah".

Bruh.. If that's your true voice, then I think we found James Hetfields replacement in Metallica if they ever decided to pass their band on to a younger generation. Sadly, I doubt they would do that because I'm sure they'll take Metallica to their grave's, but if nothing else, you could easily do a Metallica cover band. With that voice alone, it would definitely go far.

Solid effort. That said, I feel like this would be better suited to James' current vocal style, given Pete Cottrell's arrangement of this song really sounds like a Death Magnetic b-side

I dig it. I feel like pitch wise its in an odd place between how James sounded in the first couple records vs the most recent and it feels weird. But youve got some of the mannerisms down. I almost want to give it a shot myself now. good video man, did well with multiple shots and stuff to keep the video from being stagnant :D

Been listening to slipknot since right after self titled came out. I always find it strange how everyone uses psychosocial as the epitome slipknot song. Especially with newer fans, isnt there suposed to be like 3 more albums since. Dont get me wrong, pleased its still a joey and paul song.
