    I have Michelin road 6 , now about 7500 kilometers on them and still look new 👍 and your mention of white crossing marking they don’t seem to use any special anti slip paint or ant road marking and all are slippery when wet ! Said the actress to the bishop ! 🤣😂

    I have the A41 Bridgestones on my 1250 GSA and only 640 miles on the bike... And picked up a cut in the rear all the way down to the cords. So that's scrap.
    After talking to mates about tyres, one has Road 6's on his GSA and hates them in damp conditions, the other has Mutants on his S1000XR and loves them so after watching this video and your first ride video I am getting a pair of these RoadSmart 4's... As good as a Road 6 but less slides in wet and greasy conditions, and longer life sounds like a winner to me.

    All modern tyres are so good, we can basically pick the one that we like the look of and it'll perform better than we can ride!

    You guys helped make the choice to go for the roadsmart 4's easier. I've had too many issues out of michelin's from pulling to having tires out of round brand new. Time to give dunlop a try.

    Good update. Impossible to compare tyres with different riders doing different riding. On my Kawasaki Z1000SX both Metzeler Z8 and Pirelli Angel GT2s lasted about 10,000 miles.
    I was looking at these as replacement for the Angels, but they're so pricey right now! I might go with Michelin PR4 as an excellent yet "value" tyre for about £100 less

    Couldn’t agree more regarding tyres. A few years ago I went from only having ridden sports bikes on sports tyres to a Tenere on Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR’s. Blew my mind. Absolutely amazing on the road and never left me (a novice off roader) needing more off road.
    Moral of the story - have an open mind.

      We agree and there lies the issue, people can be so closed minded when it comes to change. I love my Mutants and the Trailriders I have on currently are now at 7500 miles… Ride safe

    Most underrated tires on the market. I can ride anything, have ridden a ton of tires. Yeah, Road5's/6's are GREAT. These are 20% cheaper and quite frankly, everything my michelin's were.

    @jeffreyscott4564 Před 4 měsíci +1

    I've had the Dunlop RS 3 and 4 on a few different BMW's and I felt they were exceptional in all road conditions.
    The ride is smooth and predictable. When it comes time to replace the Michelin Pilots on my RT I'll switch to the mighty Dunlop.
    Tires are subjective and some guys won't try a tire they're not familiar with.

  • @MrMelo661

    Great tyres for grip and comfort, but my rear tyre after 2500 miles square off quite a lot even I do lots of twisty roads and 50% in wet as in Ireland is lots of rain
    So, I'm not happy with longevity at all
    The front is still OK
    Maybe 1290 S just eats rubber no matter what

    I'm currently debating between the Road 6 and the Roadsmart 4 (be ironic as an IAM observer to have "Roadsmarts") as they're some of the very limited options available for my Pan European 1300 (skinny 18 inch front). I'm currently using the BT023GTs which are the Honda recommendations after the BT020, ETC, were discontinued. Just found the front starts to cup on one side after about 5 thousand miles. My only issue is that the Roadsmarts aren't confirmed to be able to handle the 300kg of the Pan and it would be a bit of a gamble with them. Out of the 2, any preference with the RT if you have tried them? Thanks in advance

      @DaveTyres Před 7 měsíci +1

      RoadSmart IV is a Dunlop recommended fitment for the 1300 Pan, no issue with load/speed rating.

    When did you film this? It's NOT raining! I thought it hadn't stopped raining down here in Cornwall since 2018! I must've somehow missed the 15 minutes when you were filming this! I was probably sleeping 🙄 Or on the loo 🙄🙄 No window in our bathroom dammit 🙄🙄🙄
    Or am I getting excited over nothing? That is definitely sunshine in the background right? Not an incoming comet?
    If the latter I'm off back to bed for more beauty sleep before the apocalypse...🤔🙄

    • @RiderCamTV

      both are exceptional tyres. the 4's have added more grip and longevity. For the price of the 3's, they are exceptional as are the 4's

    How on earth do you manage to get 7k out of a set of rubber, I manage to get 4,5k miles max

    i had them on a bike i bought, they were new, i took them off after 2000 miles, it's like riding on glass after using the P6 from michelin.

      @@mengaw-yong2490 I just had a Roadsmart III rear puncture on my SV650 that I bought used four weeks ago. It was a small nail. Tyres were from 2021 with 4 mm tread left. Last time I had a puncture was in 1978. I'm now considering Roadsmart IV's, Pirelli Angel GT 2 and maybe Michelin Pilot Road 4.
