Vegans are like a fandom.
The fandom is badly represented by a common stereotype because there are like 6 people who are like that.
Anyone get what I mean?
That actually sounds like the perfect analogy (speaking as a vegan and a fan of many movies and shows that are known for having awful fandoms).
Like the phandom. Everyone thinks that we are a bunch of little obsessed fangirls that want to marry dan and/or phil and hate anyone who speaks against them.
WHAT WE REALLY ARE:::
The fandom with the most lesbians/transgenders/anyone in lgbtq+ (besides P!NK of course) that want Dan and Phil to marry each other. This is really accurate tbh
not always just six people. From what Ive seen vegan activists online can be rather agressive, ruining everyones reputation
How people who watch anime are represented by bronies, disgusting freaks calling their pillows "waifus" and japanese wanna-be while instead we just watch some anime the same way anyone else would watch literally anything else...

There are essential amino acids that vegetables lack and the body can't synthesise. you can't live out of beans. beans are not a complete protein source.

It's not that hard for a vegan to get protein. Meat is the best source of it, of course, but a lot a vegetables (Particularly, green ones) and beans have a good amount of protein too

The correct values are: 100 calories of broiled beef top sirloin steak: 11.08 grams of protein. 100 calories of chopped raw broccoli: 8.29 grams of protein. Which is pretty cool, but it's only 70% the proteins of beef and not 200%.

In India, you will find a lot of people vegetarian and not vegan. We consider eggs as non-veg hence eggs aren't "vegetarian".
@Idk um no Hunny, Britannia and other brands packed cakes have the red nonveg mark on their packets which contain egg. So eggs are definitely non-vegetarian. You may call yourself an eggetarian or a non-vegetarian but not a vegetarian.

What's MyName I'm not a vegan but I agree, I do know people who want everyone to try their tofu and food shame people because meat is dead animals. And it's murder. But I also know people that I didn't even know was vegan because they just do their own thing, they don't share their beliefs with the world, that's so true, it all just depends, sometimes people don't just make up stereotypes, sometimes they get them from the actually people that hey apply to.

I love this representation of the reality of what vegans deal with! People like to act like we're the ones "pushing our beliefs" when in reality people are assholes and will constantly try and talk vegans into eating things their not comfortable with or telling me what I can/can't eat as a vegan and people as US about why are we vegan, where do we get our protein, and how they could never do it.
The stereotype that we always talk about being vegan isn't correct. We don't wanna bring it up so people can't say we're the stereotype, and if we aren't in the mood to again be asked about what we eat, why we're vegan, and why we can't just eat "normal".
For those becoming vegan, lentils are also a nice source of protein, and I think they taste really wholesome

Of course some vegans fit the stereotypes. Stereotypes do fit some of the people they're based on. The vast majority don't, though. I hate talking about my diet because frankly I find people's questions about veganism annoying and repetitive, sometimes even insulting. If anybody brings it up to me, I respond politely but try to change the subject, always.

I tried to go vegetarian once I had to stop because my family was unsupportive and only would buy meat products while I was miserable eating nothing but McDonald's salads I lasted 3 weeks before I caved into my mom's chicken nugget and burger taunting. I told myself I'll try again when I move out.

As much as going vegan may seem like it will help you, as humans, we evolved always eating meat. We are meant to eat meat and obviously, there are many ups and downs on eating meat but if you eat it in moderation, meat is good for you. It is also a very good source of protein. The protein we get from eating meat than from other vegetables and pills are very different and if you go vegan, you miss out the different nutrients and protein you usually get from meat. I'm not saying it is bad to go vegan and it is really your choice but I recommend and it seems like a way better choice sticking with meat. If you are that worried about any bad chemicals that people put into meat, just try going to all-natural stores where it says on the package that the meat doesn't have an additives.
