Start your Franciscan journey today with the Midwest Capuchin Franciscans!
As the son of a clothing merchant, Francis’ story of conversion is filled with events of prayer, struggle, and trust in God. Would you like to visit one of our ministries? Perhaps you’d like to stop by our formation house and have dinner with the friars? Maybe you’d just like to have a friendly phone conversation. We recognize that every vocational journey is different, and the information you provide helps us to better respond to your unique situation. One of our vocation directors will respond to your form as soon as possible.
“If the idea of a vocation fills you with uneasiness, unworthiness, or even fear…then you are already following in the footsteps of St. Francis.”
Thank you for sharing. One day at a time brother.

Friar MJ.you are on the right path. God has worked Rom 8:28 out in your life. You are such an inspiration. Keep up the good work 🤗🤗
wonderful short film into the vocation of a capuchin brother, his journey, his growth, his commitment to his Calling.
Brother MJ's transformation from his postulancy video to this is nothing short of astounding. Such transformation clearly demonstrates the life affirming quality of The Franciscan life
Bro BJ you are a gift to the world 🌎. No bs just love. Praying for you all from UK 🇬🇧🙏
Brother MJ. Was so moved by your testimony. Prayed for you and this is the scripture the Lord laid on my heart for you: "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
Luke 7:47-48 NKJV
Your radical love, faith and humility stem from having been forgiven so much. Keep up the good work ❤

Bro MJ, I really enjoy watching your video daily. It always brings a new meaning and the ability to serve God. I like how you minister to the poor. God is working in you each and every moment of the day. I like how the Sister is there for you when you need help in your studies. I know you will become a Great Priest when that day comes. I pray for you and God keep you safe in his arms, you are one of his children who has so much inspiration and devotion to your ministry and the Order of Capuchin Franciscans. Please pray for me that God will send me a healing of Spinal Stenosis and Osteoarthritis so that I may sit, stand, kneel in church, Genuflect to the Blessed Sacrament without being in pain. You also have Amazing parents who really support you in all you do. Thank you Bro. MJ. God Bless.
My prayers healing as I write this are with you Father. Thank you for saying yes to your calling to the priesthood. Saint John Vianney pray for you and our Lady Queen of the clergy cover you with her mantle of protection and Saint Michael the Archangel forever be at your side along with your Guardian Angel.

..lovely, blessings, Rev Father Superior General Francis Mary.
I hope u can put eng subtitles on the video, i am not a native eng speaker and the video seems really good!!
WOW. AMAZING TESTIMONY...
Love the video, very inspiring (though I think that Friars should consider it their job to 'solve the problem' of poverty... you'd see how quickly their faith would be tested when the powers that be come down like a hammer upon those that would dare to question their right to exploit others).
Fra I am a capuchin living in Rome, I was looking for some one like you
Perfekt
i want to be a friar and i am 12
Giovanni Amezquita Duran many prayers man. Always. Say. The Rosary. Mary will pray for you and your vocation.
May the holy spirit of god lead you to your vocation little brother...will pray for you always. Amen
Daniel Dellamarine , Amen!
The advice I've heard most often given to young people who feel a calling is the following: finish high school, go to university and learn something you love (theology? philosophy?), discern while you go.
That's awesome, Giovanni, and I'm sure they could use someone like you being out there living for Christ! Remember: the life of a Franciscan Friar should happen even before joining! Live like them even before you join, and you will find you will be right at home with them when you are able to be one of them! God bless you buddy!
Where is the Novitiate these days? In my day it was going to be a joint Novitiate between Central Canada, the Midwest and New York. As an aside, Br. Perry looks good after all these years
Waw tank you so mutch
4/27/19 9:10pm Brother MJ. Would you be able to find out what the name of the music is in your video that starts playing when your parents start to walk out to the vestibule/Narthex/ after mass is over with. I just love that song. Tried to play it here and cannot quite get the melody right. Thank you so much Bro.
We're due for an update!
Iv been decerning a call to vocation.. if you guys can reach out i would be very thankful ! Thank u !
I knew a friar who arrived at the seminary with his cape on. in the end, he turned chicken and left.
I know most who walked in all chicken, but who are still wise old owl Friars.
Try to become a shiner to help people, u have to become a master Mason first, I'm at a point in my horrible life where I'd love to be a member of them
does anyone know where the rest of this video series is? Ive been searching for it for a while. Ive seen this one and the postulant but theres more I thinks right?
Hi MJ- I met you outside at St. John's- I said I like friars on You Tube. Would it be possible for me to write you?
Can some one give me comtact details of this brother .plzzzz
What are the age and education requirements to become a friar? I can never find a reliable source.
Any age from 18 to 30 may be accepted.
It depends on the order and your local monastery.
