I’m 15 and I’m hoping that when I’m 18 I’ll be able to experience larping, It’s been something on my mind that I’ve gotten into since lockdown and I’ve been amazed by the amount of effort and dedication.
What I love about Larp is that you get to write another story then the one your already in; like living in a alternate universe and it’s amazing!
For the tent, I would suggest ensuring that you have something good for a ground cover that can cover, at least, 90% if not more of the ground under the tent, you can have a bit so you can get in and keep boots and similar from getting mud everywhere. But the ground cover, especially, works great to keep the interior of the tent dry, clean, and warm since water spreads through dirt...and if you want to make things more in character looking, grab some cheap carpets to put down over it...same with adding blankets to the top of a military surplus cot.
Also, for valuables, you can normally, lock them up in your car, sometimes even with a double layer to start with if you go for the glovebox...and having a small lockbox is often a good thing to have with you at events like this...and you could stick an air tag in it as well for added security.
For calls and similar, you also, should, do the same thing you do at any trip or place that you're staying, familiarize yourself with emergency plans. I'm in the US, and you really want to know where to go for things like tornado warnings because I don't care what tent you have, it's not going to do much if anything there if one comes through...same with hail or similar.
As someone looking to return to LARP (Last played @ CP in 2008, now one of the children is old enough and wants to try CP), this was really useful!
Reminds me of some vital info I'd forgotten as well as a new way of looking at things.
Thank you so much😁
I wish you a happy, healthy LARP year!
I hope you have a happy LARP year too, let me know if you think we'll be crossing paths at a game!
The wife and I are sad that we will miss the opening Gather of our LARP as we are away that weekend .. boo
Oh no! Hope your weekend away is good though.
Yay! A new video! I really needed this.
Very good tips on playing in larp.
Thanks 👍
Yey! Thank you for this video! I'm excited to try UK-based larps this year as I only started started last year in my homecountry. Have you been to any Fools and Heroes events? I'd be interested in a video on it since I'm preparing to go to their one-day events! ^^
I haven't yet, but have had several people I value the opinion of recommend them to me ☺️ They sound like a great time. I won't be able to squeeze one in this year, I have a surprisingly busy year planned, but fingers crossed I'll fit one in somewhere!
Great video, thank you. You have a really nice voice btw!
Thank you, I often think I sound a bit nasal-like so that means alot ❤️
Love your content mate!
Thank you ❤️
