I noticed you said the scanner is fast and I've heard some people say that the scanner is slow. This scanner actually outsources the computation to your mobile device, so if it's slow, it's your phone and not the scanner itself. The impression I'm getting is that the dongle merely transmits information while all the magic happens on your phone/tablet/computer. I just ordered one myself and I'm pretty excited.
Mike Curry I belive you are right I was using a iPhone XS and it was really fast for me. Only downside is you need to buy the software annually to use it. Buy excellent option for diy or limited vehicles you see.

I wish it was $80 per year for ALL functions and capabilities per manufacturer. I want all Reset software but at $49.95 per year EACH is a bit ridiculous. That is $50 x 16 functions = $800 per year - WTF.
@@kevinisawake I've heard rumors that they're going to start offering bundles like that for people who want to unlock all vehicles or all features for a certain one. No idea how much it's going to cost though.

No it’ll do some keys but no immo or eeprom work. The think pros will tho the 10” tablet has programming
The Full Scanner has 30 Functions but this tool has only 15 Functions. This is an issue, also you can't get other adapters.
What full scanner? Im not following you? Are you talking about the diagun x431 or similar scanner ? Which adapters the obd2 adapters? Because you know those adapters aren’t obd1? You’re comparing two diff scan tools.
@@weldingjunkie Yes, x431 Diagun has more features and probably cheaper if taking into account the standalone hardware.
@@t8deer952 yes true these are not the same scanners tho this is for diy but I can tell you they offer all care and functions on deals sometimes for $179. Let’s say you only want it for 3 makes for diy this is way cheaper option.
