My hendecagon star still requires a (small breakdown - reassemble uP pulling internal countersink )that I can snap reclip once I’ve placed the drive shaft into variable speed drill press with this attachment at the base !
I have 20mm holes around these located positions for aiding the pieces to be internally reconstructed upon a 10 - 12 ml drive shaft rod!!

Ya a vice would work for this but would still need all the rest of the tools needed for this job. In Canada a half decent vice is at least 150$. Spare parts laying around and a cool project that he designed. Good work man. Besides I've always admired the Russian way when it comes to things like this.
Reminds me of back in the day when NASA spent over a million dollars to have a pen that would work in zero gravity on the space station. The Russians brought pencils.

It is a nice little bender; I'm not knocking your work sir. But for you guys asking what kind of welder this is, it is Tig welding. He is only fusion welding these parts together though. That means he's not using any filler rod and the welds you see him doing are only fusing the two pieces of metal together and that means the joint will be thinner than the metal and there is very little penetration. Buy not using filler rod you're not going to get a strong weld, so you need to keep in mind if you are building things that are going to be under pressure or anything structural you need to use filler rod. The rods come in Aluminum, Stainless, and Carbon Steel, and you need to use them in accordance with the type of metal you're welding on. Just a little safety tip for you beginners, I seen a lot of people asking what kind of welder or welding this is so I answered.

I was thinking to myself, as a welder for over 40 years, doing stick, mig, tig on alum and ss and was baffled by how good your welds were with no filler added at all. How stupid now as a retired mechanic that you did use filler rods but just didn’t think or want to put it on the video for all to see. The comments are got my mind right. Nice job fabbing everything though. But for that minute I was feeling like I was not as experienced as I thought I was. Because I have tacked things together many, many times with no filler rod, but you had me for a while.
