I think Izzy got caught up in the emotion of knowing he could NOT lose a 3rd fight to the same guy
Any lose can be justified
No he just messed up. Israel was winning then the second he met off the gas Alex caught him .
He did get caught in that emotion but we can't pretend it was all about this. Alex has a edge on him at striking. When Alex Knock out Izzy, he clearly did something to Izzy that nobody did before, He was closing the distance in a way that Izzy didn't know how to escape. Small step and faints putting him in a place that he wasn't aware it existed on his game.

@@felipemauez3557 I'm not doubting that Alex was his toughest opponent either way, but Izzy wobbled him in the first round. I feel like Pereira hits so hard because he's got amazing shoulders for his frame. He's no slouch with the rest of his muscles, but I feel like its effortless for him to start his punches allowing him to be perfectly efficient as generating full power on his shots.

If bro isn't careful he'll end up face down on the canvas. And Gilbert is no Pereira in terms of striking and the fact that you even compare it speaks volumes of what you know about the UFC. @vevven ennevvev it never does make sense to rankings anymore look at Jones and Gane, volk and makhachev and the upcoming McGregor Chandler. It made no sense for Jones to be fighting for a title in a weight class he's never fought in and not ranked in and he didn't have a belt. How did Conor even cone to fight any of the guys he did at the end of his run losing 4 of 5 and only beating a washed up cowboy. He hasn't even had a close fight. It's just crazy and I quit supporting the ufc because of it where I used to work for high level ufc execs I won't mention. Top 10 fighters in every weight class are being paid the same or less than football players did in the 70s. Not even enough to support their families and careers. Coaches now have to volunteer their time to top fighters in hopes they get one of Dana s moneyfights to even get paid then there's cornermen and training fees and ufc wants exclusive contracts on top of it all. It's indentured servitude. I fully support a boycott for the fighters sake. Make it make sense.

Jorge Masvidal himself who's grappled and been wrestled down by elite BJJ black belts like Demian Maia has said, he doesn't know how well Alex will do against these elite wrestlers In the division.
We're not saying he can't win against a fair amount of them (I think he'd beat Vettori and Cannonier, and he'd chin Brunson), but when Izzy got Alex to the ground he racked up a minute or so control time against him, now Imagine what an elite freestyle wrestler like Khamzat would do to him once he gets him down, transitions In side control, tires him out, scrambles and gain better wrist control, etc.
A fighter like Khamzat seeing him as easy money would be believable.

pereira wrestle doesn't need to be expert level, just needs to be good enough to defend the takedowns and ground game and its over from there. pereira striking is levels ahead of khamzat
After seeing what Khamzat did to Holland, I'm pretty sure his wrestling would have to be elite to even stop Khamzat (a man who literally wrestles down and spars with HWs) to stop him from getting him down.

I don't think he did much wrong in that fight to be honest. It was pretty much a perfectly executed fight. He got compromised against a finisher and lost. That was that. There was basically low margin for error, that is why he lost. But in terms of what he did throughout the fight, it was his best fight.
I don't think much else can change really. I think Izzy will enjoy success against Alex again, but it will still be a low margin fight. Alex simply due to his genetics will always have the potential to KO Izzy. It will be close.
If that left hook land first...alex might win....but if Khamzat catch him first...bye2 đ
He ate Gilbert's p7nches alex is more skilled but Gilbert hits harder
â@@ScootsMcPootit's funny that you actually believe that
@@luisagudelo677 believe? Gilbert burns is known for power the fuck you mean. Alex is accurate and fast. But doesn't have the power like Gilbert. There is no believing it's documented fact
Joe, i love your show. UFC is like football....any given Sunday. If you lose, it doesn't mean nothing. The next match is another day. Anything can happen with all the dynamatics of all discipline of fighting. Gracie could beat Mike Tyson 9/10 times. But you can never count out that knockout. Thats what keeps us tunes in to UFC. It's never tiring.
"did he do this? - i don't know" "oh but did he do that? - yeah i don't know"
Izzy did so well that fight from what I remember. I agree tho, the threat was always there and Izzy just couldnât hold on for the 5th. Sucks man. To get the that point in the fight, youâve done so well for 22 minutes but couldnât finish. Basically I doubt izzy can last 22 mins again.
I feel the same way. Izzy did great but the inevitable happened. Itâll happen again also, probably sooner
@@theprezidentgaming well he almost knocked him out and was winning on points.... so i mean. he could probably win again
Pereira hits like a heavy weighr. Khamzat will feel power. Hes a person who has weight cutting difficulties because he's a light heavyweight who comes down to beat lighter opponents
Well meet Pereira. He does the same
Dumbass he cuts to welterweight. Cutting to middleweight will be nowhere near as hard
Finally someone else said it . Both are cheating coward's who should fight in their real weight class .Light Heavy !
@@bensonbright it's not cheating if the rules allow it.
â@@bensonbright khamzat aint a LHW relax
@@BORRZZ He sure aint no welterweight!
The AP vs Izzy fight, is wild bc Alex just cracks people like punchers chance baby
Thatâs a dream fight right there
Izzy destroy Alex on da ground image if Khamzat did that to Alex sheesh itâs over
Destroyed? Did he finish the fight? Did he do a lot of damage Pereira couldn't recover from? Did he get a lot of takedowns or did he capitalize on a scramble situation that Pereira initiated?
I just dont see how the Ref stops a Championship fight with both fighters on their feet.
Crazy shi I wanted to see iz knocked out. Ref cheated us of that.
â@@asuperstraightpureblood yes, he did
Because thatâs how people die, Izzy was clearly done and would have just kept getting pounded in the face.
We could have seen Izzy get frozen like Elsa, we were cheated
I love Shaun o malley dude is super cool man talks great on fighting
They just need to get kamzat as champion nobody want to fight him but once heâs champion they have no choice. No nickel vs kamzat next year will be the one.
Everyone saying Izzy was about to ko in the first round but the point is did he do it? No, atleast give the credits that Alex deserves
The funniest part of that is no one talks about why Izzy didn't try to capitalize on it at the start of the 2nd. He just right went back to his play it safe mode and wait to counter approach, he doesn't seem to have that killer instinct and he's unwilling to take any chances.
Izzy best defense in the first fight was being able to grab Pereira's arms/gloves when he got in close, not something he was used to in kickboxing. Now that he has experienced that and had to train for how to stop it and ways to attack off of it, I see it far more difficult for Izzy in the 2nd fight.
What a useless perspective, you ignoring the fact that he almost got KNOCKED OUT is hypocritical to what you say. You're taking credit away from Izzy's performance, like how the UFC pr team has been doing by only showing the Izzy knockout by Alex from kickboxing. But they never show the standing 8 count Pereira got from the referee after Izzy put a beating on him. Give both men credit, not just the winner.
Tbh looking back on that Izzy vs Alex. Izzy threw that fight. He was winning every round and aside from some leg kicks Alex was getting dominated by his sloppy wrestling. He was already up on all scorecards. All he had to do was keep his ass down. Khamzat most likely wouldn't make that mistake and would beat Alex to a pulp on the mat.
@JoshuaGonzalezEducational nah only thing Alex did well that entire fight was target his leg so cudos to him. But if Izzy just stayed on the outside,or run like ppl accuse him of doing he would've still won even if he lost that round per score card.
Wait isnât this old and not a fight thatâs happening just a convo from a really old JRE show.
Suga a good dude man
Alex a beast but once khamzat grabs him, itâs wraps
are you on drugs
Bruh if Izzy loses again that's wild. 0-4 haha but he's bound to get one then he'll run from the trilogy like he won
That would be more detrimental to Izzyâs legacy than him losing a 4th time against Alex. Especially if the win isnât by tko or sub
Kickboxing is kickboxing and MMA is MMA. So it's only 1-0 Perreira.
@@hagegesamuel I guarantee Izzy doesn't look at it like that
@@hagegesamuel lol fan Izzyâs found boy, your only one to say that dumb shit. 3 - 0 donât cry.
Sorry, I'm not 14yo. I'm rooting for Perreira since KB so your point is invalid. In MMA, he has always been beaten once.
Alex just needs to train his ground defense and grappling the all camp
All the people saying Pereira has zero grappling said the same about Jiri against Glover, or that Makhachev was gonna steamroll Volk. MMA math is worthless. Khamzat *might* take Pereira down and beat him, he might get his head knocked off by a guy way bigger than him. Pereira doesn't even have to grapple him, he can just shut down his wrestling with that 2 mile reach jab. And Pereira can keep up for 5 rounds, Khamzat gasses hard after 2. Until 2 guys actually fight, we don't know anything.
True mma math doesnt work. But youre beyond wrong to think a jab stops a a td. That makes zero sense
Only difference is Periera has no grappling đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Your comment is worthless
Even if alex were to lose to khamzat he atleast he has more of a chance which is more than i can say for nate lol nate would of been on life support taking his last breaths đ
Casual statement considering nate had a Gracie bjj and Alex has even less of a chance. He doesn't have close to the ability to getup from a takedown or even prevent it. He's got about 20 seconds at the beginning of each round to knock khamzat out if he's lucky.
@@brandondrew4914 your obviously a triggered nate fangirl i get it dude đ
I think khamzat will take Alex down but I don't think he's gonna submit Alex.I see round 1 and 2 for khamzat the rest is for Alex or he knock him out.if he stick to a plan it would be easy to defend the take down because of his size and knees.
I hope pereira hold the belt for a while
People need to stop saying Khamzat would ragdoll Alex, is it likely? sure but are we forgetting that Alex has the absolute most vicious knees lol if hes expecting Khamzat to shoot which he will at some point that knee is waiting. Anything can happen in a fight. Just enjoy and hope that it happens.
you are right, but the reality of wrestlings strength in MMA is the more trustworthy lean. Will Khamzat give Pereira a chance to head kick him like Edwards did to Usman? i dont think he will
@@shikakabubu Theres always a chance for a defensive strike to a takedown, doesn't need to be given, he can minimize the window but it'll still be there. And Alex would be one of the best to land a move like that. So we'll see
The problem is that Khamzat doesn't shoot like folk-style wrestlers do, which makes it difficult to land a knee on him. You'll notice that no one is ever able to land a knee on the sambo wrestlers because they make sure to first close the gap before dropping levels. At which point no damage can come from the knee since it's too close
Knees work against traditional wrestling because they drop levels to "shoot" for a takedown.
@@shikakabubu I mean you basically repeated what I said. I said its likely.
But anything can happen and it doesent matter nobody gives themselves the chance to get kneed it just happens sometimes, bad enough you get knocked out. Alex is also bigger than Khamzat (maybe not by alot im not sure) but helps aswell. I just want to see it lol
@@rym6829 Khamzat is not Askren.
I think Khamzat will submit both Pereira and Izzy in the first round... His aggression and strength is too much for them...
Why he didnât submit burns then
Pereira and Izzy are definitely stronger...
That's a goood match up
