The boat on which they are having this interview is actually my grandfather's old cargo ship - something I discovered only recently. Amazing co-incidence. My grandfather's home harbour was on an island off the Swedish West coast, between Gothenburg and Oslo, but was later sold to someone in Stockholm in the sixties. In another clip from this occasion one can see the name "Agnes" shown on the transom - the one it got when it was built in 1914 and still have today, actually the original greek form of the Swedish name Agnetha. How appropriate!

To think that less than a year later, ABBA had toured in Match ‘77 to massive acclaim and then suddenly Australia turned on them. Their last number 1 in Aus was Money Money Money, late in ‘76. After Molly Meldrum went to the effort of interviewing them in Stockholm, they made the fatal mistake of not appearing on his all-powerful Countdown when they toured. Everyone did that. They should have made that effort for the benefit of those who couldn’t see them live.

Great stuff, Agnetha's great lip biting at 20:28. I guess she didn't like those interviews, talking, especially in english made her always nervous and feeling like an outsider. Dealing with media was not her business.

Did she always do that with her lips? I never noticed

Think that was recorded in July 1976, not January. The weather in Stockholm sure wouldn't be like that on New Years Day. 8-) Thanks for the upload and great to view some previously unseen footage. Even battling with the wind, the girls look stunning.

He was all aboùt Agnetha. He disrespected the group members in all as a whole. He was so unprofessional. Harrasment. I do not like this footage at all.
