Winona: Makes a spider slaughterhouse with catapults using their own meat as bait. Very messy, but also quite efficient.

One of my favorite games had us taking on about 10 spider dens with about 5 other players. We all were taking on our own hoard, and in the middle of the fight, the spider queen spawned and we all ganged up on it. Our Webber was confused the entire time.

Can't forget that Abigail can easily kill spiders, and even wipe out all the spiders in a Tier 3 nest... might need a bit of help though.

i remember one time me and my best friend were playing dst, when we started the world, we spawned fairly close to a spider ritual, with all tier 3 nests.
after a few days, my best friend wandered around them getting stuff, 3 OR 4 SPIDER QUEENS SPAWNED, WHICH MADE THEM SPAWN MORE SPIDERS.
then we evacuated base, remade our base in the bitch nut biome, (big mistake) then tried to navigate through the hoard, we actually did it somehow, apparently.
then some poison bitch nut trees made us restart.
that was a fun experience, which also made us cry.

Pro tip when playing as Webber: recruit a couple of spiders, then order the character to attack a neutral spider; however, just as the hit animation starts, move backwards to cancel the attack. The spiders won't attack you, but your allied ones will attack the target. Because spiders attack anyone that attacks a spider, a hefty battle will ensue if there are enough dens around. Just stand in the middle of it and hold space to collect the monster meat before it is eaten.
When I was a newer player I had accidentally caused a spider queen to spawn near my base and wanted to nope my ass out of the game
Something I would consider noteworthy of mention here (I don't know if it's been mentioned in other videos or not) is that using cooked or dried monster meat, in conjunction with a bird cage and a source of small meats (such as fish), can allow you to make bacon and eggs in the crock pot. A small meat, a monster meat, and two eggs (acquired from a bird with 2 monster meats) is a good recipe to use if you have a lot of monster meats to use and you're not playing as Webber. Farming spiders for this use is also very effective, assuming you use a method that allows you to recover the dropped meat easily.
Playing as Wendy and using Abigail is a very efficient way to get rid of any tier of spider den! My friend and I took care of 3 tier 3 spider dens with Abigail’s help! But I will tell you this: Make sure you have some armor and a helmet on before doing this, as there are a lot of spiders, and Abigail can’t take care of all of them! This is a very good way of getting spider glands for healing salves.
One time I lead deerclops into two spider Queen's and got all the loot hehe
You can just bait the spiders away from the den and kill them all to take down a den without spider warriors showing up, although you may still get one that spawns once you take your first swing at the den just from the spawn timers. Also, if I’m swimming in grass and twigs I tend to just use traps to catch spiders instead of going through the hassle of fighting them. Quite quick and easy for collecting that sweet monster meat silk combo
Webber is an endless cycle of killing your own spiders for food and then mourning their deaths because they’re your children

Once recently when I was going to destroy a bunch of (separated) tier 3 dens, (I was Wolfgang) somehow I think my raid was just long enough that immediately after I destroyed the den, a spider queen popped out. I got all the loot from the den plus the spider queen and I still have no idea how that happened.

Also don't forget **Wendy**: Abigail can stunlock groups of spiders, making her able to take several even Tier 3 nests single-handedly with near no risk. Don't send her out against the queen, though.
1 more thing for new player playing webber... webber can sleep in the tier 3 spider den for some extra health and sanity with the cost of hunger.

Your videos helped me on my first save. So far I'm still alive to day 16. Now I got A LOT of spider nests. And one pesky queen about 25 feet away from my main base. This videos should help me NOT get almost killed. Hopefully. Haha.

With webber you can also start a spidet war by taming a spider, then hitting another but running immidietly so you dont damage it, your spider will theb proceed to attack the other spider, so anpther will attack yours, and spiders will come to the aid of both sides until all are dead.

I fought the spider queen yesterday......
She was so easy that even tentacles were harder to kill than her (I have fought her before but I don’t fully remember everything in those ones)

If you ever remake this video in the future for some reason like a spider update or something, you should mention the monster meat too! It's insanely useful with a bird. Cooked monster meat can be fed to a bird for eggs, a totally safe food source from plentiful spiders! And with just 0.5 units of normal meat and 3 monster meat, you can make bacon and eggs by feeding two of the monster meat to a bird! When you're already farming spiders for other drops, that's basically a bacon and eggs (1 day's worth of food) for the cost of just one rabbit! On top of that, the monster meat, once converted to eggs, can also be sold to the pig king for some easy gold nuggets, even if it's not my preferred method.

I got 2 spider queens spawn at the same time. I decided to make a farm in the swamp area to exploit the tentacles and merm houses to get free loot in the morning when they fight. I got like 4 tentacle spears just by walking to the battlefield. One they I go there and BAM one queen, I begin fighting her after luring her away and then BAM another one. I almost died but I used the tentacles that still remained in the area and the merms to fight them. I managed to kill one with the help of a tentacle, the other one got caught in between a cluster of 3 tentacles and said mers, so they killed each other. It was pure chaos and I loved it! 2 spider hats baby!

Here is a tactic for any server with tons of webbers, all you need to do is have multiple nests next to each other. Tame several spiders (try to half and half) and then smack one of the untamed spiders. Now all you do is run away and have your friends collect all the meat for you before its eaten. This can be done once EVERY NIGHT so this is almost infinite silk and monster meat for all Webbers

I only go in guns blasting as Webber cuz then I can make my spider army stronger by getting slik and more spider den also you get spider nests on tier 3 spider den also I feed some of my spiders so then I can distract the spiders and my spiders will get he den I have like 8 dens now that’s the best one I know on how to get dens fast
Putting a spider den right next to your base as spider is good and killing only the spiders who wander too far can net you a good source of meatballs especially in winter because ice
quick question: If you have up to 5 tier 3 spider dens placing next to each other, will a Spider Queen spawn from one of those spider dens?

I've got my first long term run (for me) and I set up the best base I've ever had. Only to get on today and watch the nest I've been using as a nice little source for my meatballs spawn this horror. I never look up the bosses just cuz I like the surprise of seeing them for the first time but I immediately closed my game. Rip to my base, that's her base now. Catch me with the pig king

I don’t know if this is a set piece or not but I had 14 spider dens spawn all next to each other in a mosaic biome. They all ended up dying to Bearger though.

What to do with the Queen's gathering set-piece with all the tier-3 spider dens all so close to each other in a tightly-treed forest? Especially when all the spider queens were already out and taking their lovely walks in the forest. In my map there are about 12 of tier-3 dens/spider queen. I cheated to kill them all but would like to hear any interesting strategies on how to clear/take advantage of it.

I have a spider queen on ps4 In the first ten days and in an area I hadn't been yet. Is this a possible glitch or a different version of the game? I notice your HUD is much different than mine as I am on ps4 so I also assume pc is updated to a more current version.

I remember accidentally burning a forest down and some spider nests burned down too, but the spiders survived and I saw them sleeping outside on the area without the nests and I felt really bad about it T_T

Welcome, I hope you've enjoyed what we have for ya! As for streaming, I no longer do so but plan on returning in the future. I spent over 3 years trying to make it work and it never did so I made the decision to divert my focus and give CZcams a chance as a "last-resort" sorta deal, and I think it paid off! :D
I always enjoyed streaming and the live interaction what came with it so I would like going back to that at some point!

Simple Health Bar DST and Show Me are mods that do this for me.
Me and my Boys have a Server where everyone plays as Webber. The world ended up as one giant web.
Ugh, spiders. I hate em irl but they are a joy to see close by on my DST world, the “unlimited” silk and meat is valuable but it takes chances with a tier 3 den with a spider queen soon that could ruin it, I fear my DST world for this reason
