The screaming flames from the first game were so epic. I used to get chills hearing that. It made Shang Tsung’s character seem so dangerous, despite the fact that he was an old man.
In the first game he was an old man but he looked way creepier than he does in Mortal Kombat 9 as an old man

Shang’s skull toss did not make that scream sound from mk 3 and it was the game in which Sindel was first released. So I think 🤔 this was intentional
Im starting to think absolutely the sams after watching all the mk games. You can see how shao kahn was a natural brutal cheating boss in mk1-3 and then gets nurfed all the time till u see him in mk11 get “saved” by his wife because he is too weak himself.. pathetic. But i wanted to add that in mk9 his winning pose would be mysoginist these days so im doubting

MKII: Ghastly fucking screaming.
MKIII: Magical fireballs.
MK:DA, MK:ShaolinMonks MK:A, MKVs.DC, MK9, and MK11: Standard fireballs (with the occasional grunts, chants, and gibberish)
Unpopular opinion:
The original Mortal Kombat’s skull fireball sound bad.
The one in Mortal Kombat II sounds awesome and yet feels out of place (honestly, it should have switched places both in sound and appearance with the MKIII one).
The MKIII sounds okay, and actually sounds like fireballs being shot by a sorcerer, but at the same time, weak sounding.
