Victoria was right about her parents working hard, her dad was an electronics engineer who built his own business from scratch. By the time she was at school the family were clearly well off, living in Goffs Oak. So he was never a docker or factory worker but was clearly a grafter; to describe her family as working class is a bit of a stretch but hard working is true. David was doing her a favour, he knew the tabloids would have a field day with this so he got her to clarify the situation first, to spoil their fun.

David absolutely destroyed his Mrs, on camera. It almost makes up for the disaster that was bigging up Qatar or Saudi. I forget which, but it was bad.
It's strange that poor people want to pretend they're rich while the rich want to act like they at least used to be poor.
It's the poor people pretending to be rich that really annoys me. Most of the world is broke. There's no shame in it. If you've got good family and friends and get by, you've got all you need. Although that means I have double nothing besides currently just being able to get by.
