PLEASE PROVIDE THE SOLDIERS WITH THE VIDEO HOW TO PUT THIS UP. PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS.

    As long as China listens to experts talking like this they will continue to press the Philippines. When Argentina decided to invade the Falkland Islands, England did what was expected... they defended the rights of their people. But, the Philippines seems stuck on the idea that others enforce laws protecting their rights, not their government or their Navy... no, someone else needs to send unresistable terms to their adversaries.

    • @gad8473
      @gad8473 Před 8 dny +4

      I agree on this, the Philippines really has to project its own capability to protect its sovereign rights. however, its also important to note that China is no Argentina and the Philippines is no England or vice versa. the power gap between the 2 countries is simply too great. and so the Philippines really need to have the backing of multilateral relations to balance that out even if per say that the Philippines somehow got as strong as Japan for example, alliances should still come to play. the Japanese themselves knows this, that is why they have alliances of their own. but of course the Philippines is no Japan as well at the moment.
      the thing is that the Philippines technically "can" do something risky to settle disputes with China, but what are the chances on that right now? we have sufficient references for study on that, particularly on the paracels where the Chinese basically baited out Vietnam and we know howd that turned out. So the Philippines is right to be cautious and take the long road, it doesnt have to be as strong as its adversarry it just need to be strong enough to protect its interest, and i think militarily the Philippines have something rolling on with that, to my own estimates the navy will be ready in a span of 5-10 years as the country deepens its trenches with its shift from internal to territorial/external defense and its procurement of necessary requirements to mitigate operational risks.
      for the time being all we really have to do is to hold the line, and counter act all of Chinese illegal advances, to make sure that China's misleading claims will not hold any weight. otherwise if we remain silent for years to come, even if we are able to strengthen our military prowess, the Chinese lies will be already too well rooted and the Philippines may not be in a position to reverse that. thats how i basically see the long term strategy for the Philippines, but of course if push comes to shovel I'm pretty sure contingencies are readily available for the Philippines MDT, multilateral alliance etc.

      @charlespetee8576 Před 8 dny +3

      @@gad8473 The current situation is the culmination of years of neglect by the Philippine government for its own defense. I might add years of arrogant treatment of your treaty ally, the United States. Of course, the Philippines is buying time to correct that, and the US has generously assisted to that end. Meanwhile, it is as I have said, the responsibility of the Philippine government and its military to enforce Philippine and International Law within its jurisdiction, which has not been being done, and must be done before allies can be called upon for assistance. That takes resolve and courage... get some or practice kneeling to China.

      The problem of the Philippines is under the control of Bank Cartel World Bank which is a business partner to China and Marcos. Our military can't make a decision for themselves without the order from the Commander in Chief. But our Commander in Chief is tied to China and World Bank. Without World Bank this problem would have been solve longtime ago.

Alam na ng mundo ang illegalities ng china ( and they don't care about it). So sana hinanda na ang buong bayan for the worse that could happen. But it seems na hanggang ngayon panay lang narratives ang sinasabi natin. We or world can say as much as they can, but with china the important for them is get get the areas they wanted. Philippines should clearly understand that the Spratly Islands and shoals are in DISPUTE and that there several claimants to them, among them are Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Philippines does not own any of the islands outright. All it has is a sovereign right to harness the natural resources in the region but certainly NOT the territorial sovereignity. To say that any of the islands is "Atin Ito" is misleading and even outright wrong and unfair to the other claimants in dispute. Responsible politicians and leaders in the Philippines should grow up! They should work hard in harnessing their brain power to come up with workable and fair solution for all.

    Maritime expert and professor Jay batongbakal.. di international support ang kailangan.. Ilan taon yang international support na sinasabi mo walang nangyayari... Dialogue to China government ang kailangan... Yan ang sabihin mo dahil yan ang tunay na solusyon...

      Dialogue with China means agreeing to every demand they make. They are in the position of power. We have nothing.

      He talked for an hour about the situation that even the " istambays " already know.
      But he seems to be clueless about what to do about it.

    It is frustrating to listen to our own experts telling us what the situation is. Karen's question -- "What should we do," -- is not answered. That is the real problem. What should the Philippines do. Please someone answer that question.

      Even the man in the street knows what the situation is. But not even the experts seem to know what to do about it.
