I wrote out this recipe for anyone who may want to print it out **I highly recommend you watch the video, because I may have made a few unknown errors when writing this**
Cream Cheese
(recipe yields about 370 g of cream cheese)
Ingredients
- 8c (2 L) Whole Milk
- 2c (450 ml) Cream
- 6 tbsp White Vinegar
- ½ c (120 ml) heavy cream
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Mix your 8 cups of milk and 2 cups of cream together in a pot. Stirring constantly, bring to a rolling simmer over a medium-high heat (close to boiling).
- Gradually add 6 tablespoons of white vinegar.
- When the mixture separates into curd and whey, remove from the heat.
- Let sit for 15 minutes.
- Line a colander with a cheesecloth over a large bowl and pour the mixture.
- Squeeze the cheesecloth to remove as much whey as possible
- Tie off the cheesecloth top and let it continue to strain for 15 minutes
- Mix together ½ c of heavy cream with the curd and add 1 tsp of salt (or to taste)
- Beat until smooth and creamy
- (If needed, add a little bit of whey, 1-2 tbs)
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (the more you chill it the firmer it gets)
- (For a thicker & richer texture, use 50% heavy cream and 50% whole milk)
Cream and heavy cream matlab naam bol sakte ho kya
Thanks
When you say "2 cups cream", is that light, half and half, or heavy cream? Great video.
Thank you so much
Love it omg so many cheese recipes in this channel with millions of views amazing love your style 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Tony :)
Thanks for the perfect cream cheese recipe
Looks good!
Wow!!!👍👍👍

Lo ve, love, love your vid...!
Music made it so wonderful to watch.
Great Job... Can't wait to give this (my favorite food) recipe a go. Thanks!
You are welcome Theresa :)
Thank you! Would have preferred the instructions in Print as Mixture was explained, as well
as list of all ingredients, for complete recipe! Again, thank you!
👍 Thank you. I have made this cream cheese for many years. The taste and the texture is divine. 😋😋😋The shop bought ones are so incredibly salty. 😣 I appreciate you showing this to others. 💓💓
You are very welcome Joyous :)

You are welcome :)
I love the music too
Nice!
Thank you :)
loved it
Thank you :)
thank you. i have tried making cream cheese before but it turned into cottage cheese, I guess it is important to add cream to make it creamy. can you please tell us how long this will last in fridge? thanks!
Excellent..
Thank you :)
Perfect recipy 👌👌✌✌👍👍
Vow looks so yummy,
Nice and easy recipe, but music is complete irritation
Jigglypuff puff jiggly puff snapped
Agreed. Too annoying. I muted it and now am just switching to another vid. I don't want silence but I also don't want to feel like I'm in a 90's rave.
If no one is speaking/talking us through the process, I hit the mute button. It's right there. Bottom edge of actual video. One click. All good. Mute button looks like a speaker symbol.
I'm watching your video from Goa India, I will definitely try it, God bless
Nice.
Thank you :)
Thank you. Is there a printable version of the recipe? Maybe I missed it?
*Looks delicious! But, it would cost much more for me to make it homemade.*
That's true. 2 litres of milk and 570ml of cream are more expensive than buying a box of cream cheese in supermarket in my place.
Wow what an easy recipe! Tysm! Please do tell that whether heavy cream and whipping cream are the same?
You are welcome :). Whipping cream contains 30-35% fat. Heavy cream is richer and contains at least 36% or more fat.
@@fixitsamo oh alright thanks a lot
Can we use fresh cream instead of heavy cream??
Do i need to beat again to frost my cupcakes?
Can I make cheesecake using this recipe? Thanks
Can i use all purpose cream?
Can I use 25% instead of 35%? And whipping cream instead of heavy cream?
Hi what can u make with the whey and can you store in fridge if so how long and can you freeze it please
Yummmm
can this be used for baking
I prefer the much simpler, much easier method of making scrumptious cream cheese by starting with homemade yogurt.
Only 2 ingredients: whole milk and a small container of quality yogurt containing live cultures. Very tasty AND more nutritious than the method used in this video & you end up with 2 different products: healthy tasty easy homemade yogurt at the end of stage one AND then stage two, straining some of the yogurt, delicious homemade cream cheese... BOTH products containing live active cultures to support good gut AND general health!
its great but it is still yogurt cheese not cream cheese.....give the author a break with your negative reveiw......go make your yogurt cheese..yes it is delicious but this is a recipe for CREAM CHEESE
@@Anna-jy6tq us Keto people are looking for the heavy cream I have seen some recipes that use yogurt AND cream along with milk but I like the two ingredient recipe....I'm looking to use up the retort packaged whole milk that is close to expiration. what would be the refrigerated shelf life of this Cream Cheese?
@@katsheetz what's your point honey?
Can i substitute cream for more milk?
How long it keeps in fridge???heavy cream means fresh cream or whip cream
Cream cheese is one of my favorite parts of life.
Do u know the whey?
Whey is the liquid remaining after milk has curdled and strained
@@elviejuan8245 whoosh
Mike Hunt not really that means he knows the whey
can I add sugar to make it lil bit sweetish?
Yes ofcourse
Dude!👍or Dudette!👍😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you from Dudette 😉 lol
fixitsamo 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍 please make more👍
I will Scott :)
Which cream heavy cream or normal cream to add
Which cream to use
When u add 8cups of milk... after that u add 2 cup of cream. Which cream u added... is it Amul fresh cream or something else?
So, just mix heavy-cream in curdled milk (paneer), and whisk?
I thought that too but she curdles a mixture of milk and cream so I don't know if one can use paneer cause that's only made of milk 🤔
@@asukas8156 cream is used to increase the fat content. Cream is nothing but fat extracted from milk. It makes cheese richer.
hey, can I use this to make cheesecake?
Can i use this for cake frosting
Further up comments, someone said maybe use less salt, just a pinch. And one person has used it in a cake of some kind.
Pls tell how to preserve for long time
It's a fresh cheese not meant to be preserved.
Hi,
I had something to ask!
Is salt required for the recipe? What happens if i skip it?
if you skip it then it would have no taste
if you want to use it to make desserts then obviously don't put salt
Try this one czcams.com/video/xbzoqVuhkoQ/video.html
can i use fresh cream instead of heavy cream
You can but heavy cream has much more fat content which will make the end product more delicious.
Can you use something other than vinigar to make cream cheese?
Yes you can add the same amount of lemon juice
Can we use this creamcheese for cheesee cake also???
Yes but the cake will be more loose. You can negate this by blending the cheesecake mixture before baking.
Kitne din store kar sakte hai
Came for the recipe, left for the music.
What's the name of that mini stove called?
NuWave PIC Flex Precision Induction Cooktop with Fry Pan - Black - 9" www.amazon.ca/dp/B01AV7JW2S/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_i_TVFCA3WW1V17JNZR8KYC
What is difference between cheese and cream cheese ?
Can we freeze it.
Yes ..but up till 7 days only
A rolling simmer?
It's sad to realize that fresh homemade would cost me 3 times then store bought ....
Anoncore1 FRESH and ORGANIC always cost more..
just keep 2 liter whole raw milk in a container or add 2 tsp of yogurt in it. and let it sit for 2 days... until whey separates and thick layer form on top... then take the cheese off in a muslin and further squeeze water or hang it for a while until it does... it will be creamy and sour in taste.. great for cheese cake...
One one hand you have store-bought product made who-knows where with who-knows what. On the other hand you have a SLIGHTLY more expensive (not 3x) product made in your kitchen, 100% under your control and that TASTES BETTER!!! And the satisfaction that you made it yourself. I'm all about quality!
@@Perceptionsz why don't you prepare a video and share with us😎
8 cups or 1 gallon of whole milk at the store - $1.99. Cream cheese over $3. ???
I made this but I cut the recipe in half. It came out perfect consistency but the flavor was rather Bland:/ would it need more vinegar or more salt or both?
Kathy Federico salt
Was it grainy or was it smooth???
Can this be used to make cheesecake?
sure
So with the cost of the ingredients it is even more expansive than buying it!
Can I use 2% milk ????
Can you replace white vinegar with lemon juice?
yes
Can we use it for cake ? ( asking because you have used salt)
You can, cause the cream cheese bought from the store also contain a level of salt. Although it is your choice of u want to add the salt in it or not. I'd recommend a pinch
@@alishaytahir4150 thank you so much used it on baked cake ! awesome
Can we use apple vinegar or must be white?
Aida M you should be able to use any acid, including lemon juice.
@@susie2251 thanks a lot for answer and for recipe i will make it ;)

i don't think anyone looking for a homemade cream cheese recipe on CZcams listens to music like this.
I do :)
That's your opinion
Instead of vinegar can I use lemon please
yes. lemon juice works too
+Tomahawk1999 can it be used in red velvet cake??
Saba Waseem yes it can
What's the name of the song?
"Royalty-Free Crappy EDM"
This is a very good and working recipte for COTTAGE cheese, and it would have a sort of "not smooth/lumpy/almost gritty' texture in your mouth, certainly NOTHING like a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture. And the reason for that is - IT'S NOT CREAM CHEESE, BUT IT IS COTTAGE CHEESE. This is a great recipe for COTTAGE CHEESE!
☺👍❤☺👍❤
Woow , may I know the preservation which you add in so that it get decay
Salt
Is this philadelphia cheese or simple cream cheese?
What is whey
O so vinegar is the stuff you uses in cheese if you want to do cream cheese. Instead of the rennet and Mesophilic starter culture. I realize cheese supply stores sell specific cultures for cream cheese but it seems for this type of cheese its best to just uses vinegar. Let me know i see some cheese prefering to uses just vinegar as a sub for rennet and starter culture. Now it only works for a few cheese to come out right and this being one of them.
To Nate Fidalgo: Vinegar or lemon juice in heated whole milk (w/ or w/o heavy cream) >> Farmer's Cheese, which is a lovely cheese, that we like. You are correct, rennet & culture >> cream cheese. This is a very nice video for Farmer's Cheese.
What if I don't have a mixer
Video didnt show yoy adding salt. Mine turned out like over whipped cream. Not smooth tho followed instructions
That is some sexy cream cheese.
Whey ??
So in other words its ricotta with added crea.
This is actually a recipe for ricotta that you just blended into cream.
STILL BETTER THAN THE REVEIW ABOVE FOR YOGURT CHEESE . DID YOU EVEN TRY THIS??? my guess is not......man you people are so duh and negative.......😢
@@Anna-jy6tq I did try this recipe. I also know how to make ricotta and make it all the time. This is a recipe for ricotta cheese… just blended. I’m not being negative, it’s the truth. This isn’t how factory cream cheese is made.
@@TophMaGoats this is not a factory honey...i dont think anyone in this platform actually owns a factory so please come on let's just be real it is not a factory made recipe it is a copycat I think most normal people already know this. But hey thank you for pointing that out to everyone because we really aren't that bright
@@Anna-jy6tq This just isn’t how cream cheese is made, I don’t know how to get that across to you. Make it, you’ll see it’s just not cream cheese. It just isn’t. There are far better recipes for cream cheese that get you much much closer. I don’t know why you keep defending this. It makes no sense to me, it’s just factually not what cream cheese is. It’s not even either of the two versions of neufchâtel, it’s literally ricotta cheese that’s been blended. You’re purposefully twisting what I’m saying. And you know that. We don’t need to own a factory to get a good cream cheese that is a decent facsimile to what is being done in the factory. There are people here that value a good cooking education and we can’t afford to get one. This video in my opinion straight up is providing misinformation. Anyone who knows how to make a better cream cheese, or farmer’s cheese, or ricotta knows this video isn’t providing what it’s title is. That’s all. Please don’t take it personally.
@@TophMaGoats I just hate someone who criticizes and offers nothing more than a negative review if you're so damn smart then why don't you post the real recipe for cream cheese .....because obviously you're not all that knowledgeable .....you're calling what she made cottage cheese and anybody who knows anything about she's knows you can't make cottage cheese with vinegar you need rennet so instead of knocking the -person down ....who's trying to give someone an alternative to a cream cheese that they buy in a store when they don't have access to it ......then why don't you tell us all how the actual cheese is made..... if you can't do that.... then why don't you just keep on moving and quit wasting all of our time
I don't have heavy cream in my location
Good tutorial, however, I didn't care for the music.
It would cost over $10.00 to make $4.00 worth of cheese. That doesn't count the time.
Unless I buy a cow, I'll keep buying Philly from Costco.
But very interesting
coolwater55
Homemade is more expensive at times but the benefit is you know what is in it. Some commercial cream cheese have some ingredients that you can't pronounce!
@@conjurerwoman9726 True...so true!
You're negating the fact that you also get whey out of this process and can turn it into whey protein and could use whey to make various other products out of it. So, not only are you getting cream cheese but you're getting another very valuable product out of it.
Who try this?
So wheres the cheese?
Philadelphia cream cheese was created in Philadelphia NY, not Philadelphia Pennsylvania
Instructions please
its no cheep then real one
Unfortunately it's basically cottage cheese only blended. Not like cream cheese at all.
First comment please pin
Thank you :)
A bit disappointed
