I have been watching since you acquired that pile of steel over 900 episodes ago. I thought it would be an extremely difficult restoration and there would be many systems overlooked because of the difficulty of bringing them back to life. You have succeeded beyond reasonable expectations. The electrical systems brought back to life using the original components is time consuming and tedious. You also restored the tank to it's original appearance with existing battle damage. Congratulations to you and your friends. You have really accomplished a lot.

Just to put an end to those fu+king 30-40 plus minute long vlogs on his another channel, with silly hey mensen moaning 5 times per week about this tank project. Another project from his werkplaaaats flogs- fu+k off, I dont want to lose that much time in my life. Cant wait for final end this project tank.

As for the symbols, these were symbols of the armored brigades in the Iraqi army during Saddam Hussein's rule

The good news is almost every real tank paintjob looks like trash. Once it leaves the factory paint shop it is usually repainted by a 19 year old driver-mechanic with a paintbrush.
Amazing job with that bucket of rust the tank used to be. Tanks are one of my passion and I couldn't be anything but happy to see that "old girl" beeing so well looked after. Big respect for you and the team Milo,you proved yourself 101%. Now trow an engine in the tank and walk it,it's so nice to see it finaly rolling!!!

Markings on tanks are usually pretty standardised - the ones on the front and rear hull are probably unique vehicle registrations, the turret marking is probably a unit number, and the red and black turret marking is potentially a unit insignia.
the text on the frontal glacis plate reads "15.56"
on the side turret thats the number "16"

I'd suggest putting cloth over the mantlet as was common on all t54s t55s and later MBTs
It did come with… something like that. But Emiel is a metal working guy, not a tailor. It could be a while before he makes that.🤷♂️

Dat roken is volgens mijn vrij normaal. Al die T-54's produceren allemaal extreem veel rook, je zou bijna denken dat ze permanent het rookgordijn aan hebben staan. 😁
I would have chosen a dark green but seeing now the sand camo, good choice. You can see every detail. 💯
So much things since the beginning. When you started the project with Dirk I was not expecting it could run again, so much rust including the engine itself, I remember even the valves covers were having rust holes !
But finally years have passed, many work done on it, and now it runs and look pretty good. Good job 👍
I am curious to see if one of the other engines will be less smoky. What we saw on the T-55 let me think you have some chances 😉

I read Netherlands is giving 14 Leopard 2a6s to Ukraine, though not sure if that is from the 18 they currently have. In case one of the 4 they still have is out on maneuvers and sees your tank, best to be a bright yellow. Still, the shape is definitely intimidating. Make sure you're not mistaken for target practice. I love what you've done btw. She's looking good. With only 4 tanks, maybe the army will want to requisition her.

Probably just means unit number, and tank number. Good to preseve the battle damage like that, helps to tell it's story.
looks like the tank was sprayed by 20mm or 25mm rounds from above, rotary wing or fixed wing aircraft probably.

Ich habe das Projekt von Anfang an gesehen. Jedes Video war sensationell. Ich bin begeistert von dem ganzen Team. Man muss sich Mal vor Augen halten was das für ein Aufwand ist einen Panzer zu restaurieren. Das ist ja nicht so als wenn man einen VW Golf schweißt und lackiert. Und gerade die russischen Panzer sind,naja ich sag's mal so.... Scheiße 😂😂. Die Technik ist robust,aber simpel. Und die Motoren haben eine Marotte. Die ölen ohne Ende. Ein russischer Motor der nicht sein Revier markiert,ist kaputt 😂😂😂😂

Waarom plak je de afplaktape zo ruim bij het het schilderen van die zwarte rechthoeken? Als je gewoon de afplaktape als grens gebruikt krijg je een mooie strakke lijn.
In de werkplaatsvlog vertelde hij dat hij dat expres niet doet omdat ze dat destijds in Irak waarschijnlijk ook niet hebben gedaan.
Hij gebruikt de tape alleen ter indicatie en om schade te beperken bij hele heftige uitschieters.
Origineel waren de vlakken ook niet super strak.
Alleen de driehoek op de toren/koepel was duidelijk strak van origine.

I was wondering if you'd be ever able to fire the main gun ... but seein the barrel welded make me sad a littlebit. I know i would be alot of paperwork and even then it might no be even possible in your country to own a battle tank with working main gun.
In die loop zitten trekken en sporen waardoor de granaat gaat ronddraaien en zuiverder richting doel gaat.
Een 'gegroefd' kanon, zoals bijv artillerie nog heeft aangezien bijna alle tanks naar een glad of 'smooth bore' kanon zijn gegaan
