At Russel's Military Vehicles, we restore jeeps to their glory days. Just like all mechanics, we pour a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into everything we do, but we sure have fun in the process. This is a show about our everyday life and some of the people we get to meet and pieces of history we get to be a part of. This truck and all of it's brothers solved a crucial problem with amphibious landings, how to get supplies from the ships, over the beach and inland to the guys that needed them. Then on the return journey take out the wounded. Prior to the DUKWs, things had to be unloaded from boats at the foreshore and at the risk of getting waterlogged.
