This is in a regular concert place. Probably an arena. Their demographic is really wide, and especially their christmas tours have lots of middle aged people, full families going to see a christmas show, companies having it as their christmas event etc. They often have like 3 generations of families coming up to them saying that they are the only thing they can all agree on liking.
I believe this was at the KFC Center, Louisville, Kentucky---Kevin's ( the beat-boxer) hometown crowd---last year's "Evergreen" tour. Arrangement and choreography borrowed from "Sister Act 2". Gotta dance! Matt surprised us all with that high. 😲 You gotta watch some more live performances. I think everyone's favorite live intro is "Popspring 2016" recorded in Japan (I think). There are three original songs, and "The Evolution of Michael Jackson" so it runs around twenty minutes.

It is the Yum! Center in Louisville Ky at the Evergreen concert. There was like 20,000 there. I was there. It was great. Kevin’s from Owensboro, Ky.

Pop Spring 2016. A four song set performed live in Japan as part of Japanese Music festival. Including three original songs and their Evolution of Michael Jackson arrangement; a MTV production so excellent quality.. It is about 15 minutes long. You can react to each song separately, if video is too long for you, but you won't want to stop watching. Their performance is so good!
"Pop Spring 2016" is usually reacted to in it's entirety (15 minutes) because it's a concert (they are not the only act that is performing there. However, "Pop Spring 2016" is only the PTX portion of it.) so please, don't break it up. It's SOOOO good that it'll speed by.
The Evergreen Experience was the title of their 2021 Christmas tour. Their audience covers all age groups even this senior who is closing on 80 and 16 yo great grandson. There is a video of the whole tour that focuses on prep and backstage. Not necessarily for reaction but to answer some of your questions.

Our entire family my mother is 81 and loves them, I am 61 and love them my kids in their 30's love them and their kids under 10 love them enough that my 6 yr old grandson was constantly asking me every weekend "do we have a PTX baby yet?" When Kirstie was still expecting her baby back in the early spring... he was hilarious as soon as he got to my house his first question was always that one... lol 😁

As others have noted below, this was their Christmas tour from last year. Christmas concerts are attended by multi-generational families, but that said, generally their music is loved by all ages. I just attended a live stream of their non-Christmas concert from a couple of weeks ago at the Hollywood Bowl and it looked to me to be a wide age range.
Great reaction!! They appeal to all ages! I went to their Evergreen Christmas tour last year and the audience was equally young to older people and all were singing and rocking to the music. They have a lot of live videos. There have recently been released a lot of videos of their performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Sept.💕💕

I'm 70 and I LOVE Pentatonix! Saw them finally for the first time this past December (2022) and they did this song as well! Fabulous concert...a full civic center arena!! Amazing!!
This was in Louisville, Kentucky at the KFC Yum Center. I know bcoz I was there - right at the stage at the end of the catwalk! I am the girl in the red dress with long brown hair, going crazy gaga over the entire concert! Literally, you can see me when it shows the front row there during this song. And btw, I'm 62 & I love Ptx so much I have a large tattoo on my right arm that reads "PENTAHOLIC" (see my profile pic here)!!! I got to show the guys my tat in the preshow VIP & they loved it!! I was beyond thrilled!!!) Ptx has a huge amount of older fans. Many are way older than even me (coz literally I am NOT old!! Haha!! Just a young woman in the body of a 62 y/o! 😉). But they have really devoted fans of all ages, including many children. They are just such an amazingly talented group of people who are so talented that anyone who appreciates musical geniuses just naturally gravitate to them.
I have subbed to you so I can continue watching you discover what all they can do. Please consider reacting to their cover of Can't Hold Us and The Prayer... 2 very different songs, showing that they can do any genre. They also have won 3 Grammys. They have another Christmas tour coming this year & I will be going to the show in NC where I live. They didn't hit NC last yr so I went to Kentucky. I hope you will try to make one of the shows. You made me giggle a bit! Us middle-aged and older people tend to turn out for Christmas concerts, and the Evergreen tour was a Christmas event. But we can still boogie down (at least a little) when the spirit moves us. I love how much you love them. Well done with the reaction. Peace from Ohio … I commented too soon. I’m with you talking abt live performances. Nothing compares to seeing a performer who has a ton of fun and shows joy on stage and looks at and jokes with the audience. That elevates everything for me.

It's an arena show, I suspect their Christmas tours pull in all ages. I think most people are music nerds who go to see PTX, so the age is irrelevant, lol. I'm 55 and they make me geek right the hell out, lol. I don't think you've done Popspring, yet. Popspring 2016 is very high quality live recording because MTV recorded it. They perform three original songs plus their incredible "Evolution of Michael Jackson." It's long because it's four songs, but you can do it in one, or break it up. I love seeing people react to Popspring.
Dude, I’m 71 and love listening to Pentatonix and totally enjoy this performance.
They are in an arena. I saw this "Evergreen Experience Tour" last year and it was in our basketball arena. Their fans are multi-aged, from young children to 90 year olds.. They are very clean performers, so people want to bring their kids.
It’s middle aged people you can see because that’s who can afford the $300-$500 VIP tickets that are in the front. In general they appeal to a lot of people. I’m taking my mom this year and we’ll both love it.

Their most requested is probably AHA!, Singapore, The Star Vista! Blows everyone's socks off in part because it was a fan filmed performance and it sounds like it does! I love that one too, but I like the official MV of AHA! the best, as it showcases their acting a little - and it would be a GREAT one to do for the Halloween ssn, as it's quite spooky! 😉 Maybe he could do both at the same time ?!
I actually never appreciated the official video of that once I saw the live version... Until I saw it again when another reactor was doing it. Suddenly I heard Avi's overtones for the first time - which you cannot hear in the live version - and that's when I finally gained an appreciation of the official version. Still, I love the live version more. I think a 3-in-1 would be great. The original artist, the official video by PTX, and ending with the live version. A perfect reaction.

I'm 83 and I'm a real fan . I'm a fan of their musicality, it barely matters what they sing because their talent shines through. It was the fact that they were a cappella initially, but it's such a joy that they are more than that. They are all so individually talented, and multi-talented at that. My only problem is that I live in New Zealand so I haven't been able to see them live. I'll let you know if I make it. My grandson has already volunteered to come with me.

This is a Christmas show, so whole families go to listen. In their regular season shows, the crowd is younger..though truthfully a lot of choir and band nerds of all ages attend the shows regularly. I'm a middle aged choir nerd

Just to say middle aged people love PTX too! I'm 53 and have been watching them since 2011 when they were on the Sing Off! Pentaholics are all ages.

Love this one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! So it just so happens us a lot of us “middle-agers” may have had teens that introduced us to this amazing group back when PTX first got started or we watched them make their way through The Sing Off tv show, and we are now Pentaholics in our own right. You DEFINITELY need to watch Popspring 2016 and any of the videos posted on Miles Reuben’s channel from PTX’s recent Holllywood Bowl concert.

Pentatonix has a large group of followers who are older and only know them from their Christmas albums. I live in an over-55 subdivision and the neighborhood Facebook group lights up when Pentatonix releases a new Christmas video, but most of the people I've asked didn't know they did pop covers and original songs. And though I think their concert ticket prices are reasonable it's the older people who are more able to afford live concerts these days.

I wont rehash all the details of the nature of the events that everyone else did but instead will add perhaps my ffel of the vibe from this tour. I have had the good fortune of seeing them live 8 times (soon to be 9) and this tour was definitely a VERY different vibe than every other show. My personal theory is that we were still well in the grip of Covid during this tour. Most venues were requiring masks and/or confirmation of Vaccination...I think this contributed heavily to the dramatically more "chill" feeling in the venue compared to every other performance I have been to. I could be way off but...that is my theory for what its worth. Anyways, great reaction my friend and keep up the great work! 😀

You probably only see older people near the stage because they can afford those pricier V.I.P. Tickets/Seats. 😂 Btw....this song, "Joyful, Joyful" was adapted from Ludwig von Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", part of his last symphony, his 9th symphony.
I saw them in concert last month at the Hollywood Bowl it was so amazing!!! There were alot of different ages. They actually did a tall youngest was Kirsten' daughter and the oldes was born in the early 1930's !!! If you get a chance go to a concert. You will so enjoy it

This song was sung by Whoopi Goldberg & company in the movie Sister Act. Very good uplifting song & redition.
Actually, young Lauren Hill & company in Sister Act II. Whoopi was the choir director in that one but not a vocalist in the competition. It was a kind of "next generation" sequel with the nuns reaching out to their community and at risk youth.

I just re-watched this and a couple of things: 1, A typical PTX concert has a wide audience appeal. 2, they are now touring larger stadiums, etc. 10 to 14 K seats (definitely not a church), 3. Interesting how you at first stated a hope for 150 'Likes' & you wound up w/FOUR TIMES that. Shows your impact w/your audience. Go head on....
lets just be aware that they did not write this version.... its a great cover, 100%... but not their writing.
