The performances of the D pairings can vary so substantially from one match to the next. Guhle and Matheson were lights out good tonight, while Savard and Xhekaj struggled. It's been the exact opposite in recent matches. Newhook returns to Denver for the first tome as a Hab on Tuesday as they face the Avs at the Ball Arena.

Didnt they go to cup final a few years ago after not making playoffs the year before? They are so inconsistent I would never bet the house against them, but I would never bet on them either.
The Canadiens made the playoffs in 20-21 and before that, 19-20, they didn`t make the playoffs in 18-19, nor 17-18. I`m not seeing any big improvement.@@krylesangerbeaver

Hey habs fans , don't get excited over your win against a bush league team. They won't even be in Seattle in 5 years. Probably sooner. That playoff run was a mirage, if not fixed. The Kraken are just bad. The name "Kraken" says so. This team was built to fail, and the NHL is just milking their rich fans for as long as they'll put up with that crappy from the start franchise. That's really a basketball arena meant for an upcoming expansion team there. Once that team arrives, the losers are gone. Mark these words.
