This is the first Baseus product I have reviewed that DID NOT meet a specification. Specifically, for USB2.0 backwards compatibility, the cable is not wired perfectly correctly, and it only works in one orientation. (e.g. if it doesn't make a connection, try flipping it over). This may be a broken connector inside my specific review unit, but I suspect that they may have had to leave a few of the "less important" pins out due to the flat nature of their cable for the retracting reel.
For USB 3.0 devices it works perfectly, transferring 59.6 watts of power at 2.95 amps and doing data connectivity in any orientation as you would expect. I transferred 60 watts of power for 10 minutes with the cable fully retracted and it only got up to 100 F so it is able to handle the power without getting unduly hot.
The retracting mechanism works exactly as you expect, with 3 different cable lengths that you can choose from (ranging from 1ft to 3.3 ft).
