Dale Davis rejoining the team goes way under the radar
I think that had a real positive effect on reggie

As someone who is a Pacer fan and also roots for the Blazers. Dale Davis leaving to Portland was just bad all the way around for everyone. Although the opposite thing happened to Antonio Davis. He became an All Star in Toronto. The Pacers came pretty close to beating the Lakers super team it makes me wonder if they would have beaten them with Antonio Davis.

40 years old reggie miller score 31 with 61fg% against prime wade....this shows many things for some overrated 2000-2010s NBA superstars!i remember he also had 39 by shooting 72fg% vs prime kobe in the same season, which was his last!

What a crazy season this was, a year removed from having a league best 61 wins the pacers looked even better going into this season. Ron improved and showed it by raising his scoring level before getting suspended and was in mid season form then Jack was a major addition too. It was supposed to be the Heat and Pacers in the ECF, it appeared as if they were the two best teams in the East with all due respect to the Pistons. After having the greatest defensive series in NBA playoff history Indiana seemed to have improved more so then Detroit and showed it early on when they beat the Pistons down in Detroit right before the brawl. Before the malice in the palace Indiana, Miami and Detroit were on a 3 headed collusion course to the ECF. It was a similar to Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas race of the west . It’s too bad Wade injured his ribs in game 5 against Detroit and Ron and Jack getting suspended in the brawl. Indiana might have been the team to beat San Antonio, or maybe Miami if they stayed healthy Detroit came close but the East was similar to the year before where multiple eastern conference team were better than the west for example: in 04 East finals the pacers and piston were evenly matched played a similar style and both were equipped to beat the lakers that year. In 05 the Pacer and Heat situation stopped them from representing the East and the 3rd best team imo took the eventual champ spurs 7 games but if they don’t give up that Horry 3 the Piston’s win game 5 and possibly the series
