War ein toller Abend und ich hätte lieber noch ein paar Songs mehr von Larkin Poe gehabt, Rival Sons war nicht so meins und der Sound war zudem brachial.

LP is my favorite band! Unfortunately, the sound engineer in Winterbach must have been sitting on his ears, the vocals were way to much overdriven, distorted and way too much reverb! In the beginning, I did not recognize Rebecca´s voice, and the intricate harmony vocals, for which the sisters are famous for, were barely audible. So, in my opinion, the guy on the mixer, maybe a trash metal fan?, quite destroyed Larkin Poe´s performance. And not allowing an encore was quite disappointing and ridicoulous. By the way, it was interesting to me, that Rival Sons belong to the magic blues genre.

Yep, the sound had some overwhelming sub-bass issues, basslines were unrecognizable, also the toms and the kickdrum sounded awful - someone once described that with "hitting a bag of cement with a shovel".
I'm afraid that this sort of "bass in your face" has become kind of standard....
