Old Blood Noise gives each side of Float an identical filter with independent bypass and a host of powerful features including low, high or band-pass types with the ability to set the min/max cutoff frequency and resonance to change the voicing and enter the world of synthy sweeps. Decide whether each side is a static filter or a moving one that is either guided by expression pedal, LFO or a dynamic Envelope.
Get your quack on with the LFO disabled and the Sensitivity in either filter direction for classic envelope filter sounds or let your input signal control the LFO rate for less predictable sweeps and even dynamic tremolo that ramps up or down with your pick attack.
When the filter is moving, you can select 6 waveshapes from sine, square, all the way to random.
The isolated ins/outs of the filter channels allows for parallel or series routing in either mono or stereo. You also have lots of options for speed control whether using an expression pedal or by syncing the filter’s speeds and selecting from the subdivisions on the second filter.
Old Blood Noise Endeavors have clearly given Float the ability to adapt to any instrument and musical scenario. These high quality FX are built by hand in USA and you can find complete specs at OldBloodNoise.com

I’m so happy this channel exists. I’m not saying Andy wasn’t doing what he wanted before but it’s good to know he will ONLY demo what interests him, which is always a good thing and will always lead to the most genuine performances.
Much appreciated, thanks for stopping by my channel!
How about a huge thumbs up for the instruments in every track we don’t see Andy playing!!! 😎👍
Yes, Stefan has played drums on over 100 of my demos over the past few years! 👍🏻
@@AndyDemos I always thought you just played them with your feet
I love the artwork and the general aesthetics of this!
Some fantastically creative sounds going on, too!
Andy is the only person who is qualified to to do these pedal videos...he wrings all the useable sounds out of them
I really appreciate it! Glad you find it helpful :)
Love the pedal’s graphics
Always a good day when Andy uploads a demo vid! Thanks-a-bunch.
Very informative video and the drums rocked
Soooo good, you really found some gold in this pedal ❤️
Thanks so much!!!
Just amazing.
No money, no room on the pedalboard, but I definitely want that one !
It has a volume knob?! That instantly makes it better than the majority of envelope filters out there
This is an awesome pedal, it reminds me of the stuff you can do if you plug in a guitar into a Korg MS-20, except the ms-20's two filters are fixed to one high-pass and the other low-pass. This is an awesome alternative because you don't need to spend 30 minutes and 6 patch cables just fine tuning it to the good settings
Excellent point, thank you! 👊
Redtail beetle kill guitar in da house. 🙏
Cool Redtail.
That's incredible . Finally something new and unique
What you aren't excited to hear a company released the 1000000th Rat clone?
They do a lot of unique things. Have you checked the Visitor from OBNE ? My first one from them, it's so good.
Your review made more sense than THEIRS! LOL!
That guitar is sick as hell
Thanks so much, that's one of my dad's (Redtail Guitars) Beetle Kill pine models!
@@AndyDemos whattt andy's dad makes guitars??
@@pCeLobster Yes, you’ve seen them pop up in demos for over 10 years! You can find info on Redtailguitars.com 👍🏻
Dig this, personally could use it in place of a phaser for a more interesting modulation sound on the more straight forward and mellow settings, but then also have the capacity for the fun and experimental sounds - that last demo sounded like a sub kick giving some boom to it, very musical. My brain tried to make the artwork the cover of Queen's "News of the World" when I saw the thumbnail
I keep buying pedals like this for my guitars, but they always end up in my synth racks.
(:
Andy dude!!! Noix!!
11:45 great little riffs
Thanks!! 😊
Dude, I love this pedal. How many watts is it? does it come in a combo? Asking for a friend
Now remember boys and girls to put out tin cans and briars for the GOAT. Awesome stuff
This pedal certainly has my attention - where about’s do you put a pedal like this in the chain? I heard some classic U2 Zoo TV / Zooropa sounds coming from that box.
Hey! You can place it anywhere really and the cool thing is each filter has their own in/out and you can place a pedal in between them. Definitely Zooropa vibes, thank you!!
The Redtail p-90s really starting to open up ,the older they get
Sounds like two robots having an argument, in a good way
Haha thanks, there is some call and response there but in Robot ;)
I believe they call that a discussion
Fab demo! What’s the guitar that isn’t the LP?
That's a custom guitar made by my father (Redtail Guitars) called the Beetle Kill model. It is named after Beetle Kill pine which is lightweight yet very resonant. RedtailGuitars.com will have some info soon, thanks!
Yea andy
Sounds like it’s in the macrodose filter ballpark
I had been saving up for the Macrodose but now there’s this…
🤘😈🤘
Well shite, if that isn't gold in every way: functionality, serendipity, design.
11:30 Gish in a box
Is this their response to stretch weaver being? Seems similar, but not like a clone.
I wouldn’t say they are similar, Float is two analog filters where the Drolo is time and pitch effects. Thanks
i dont need this
i dont need this
i dont need this
...damn its cool though
I'd buy it so fast if it had some midi/tap-tempo capabilities…
Sounds like 7 zark 7 and Rosie the Robot having a disagreement
Nice 7 Zark 7 reference.
"Clichéd tye dye riffs" who else felt attacked🤚
:)
C-3PO pedal….
pretty cool just wish it had an expression pedal option. Sounds a bit too "auto-wah" for me.
Hey nick, there is an expression input to control the LFO rate or Cutoff freq for manual sweeps.
@@AndyDemos Whoa! Never mind, now I am really interested. Thank you for clarifying.
That's why I came here, I was looking for a demo with expression pedal on it... still a great demo, but I must move on...
@@michaelcarey9359 I just made this today for you all…czcams.com/users/shorts7xWeG-NoeOc?feature=share
Definitely not the same old same old. Is this analog? I mean I guess it doesn't matter because it sounds great and is loaded with options. The demo wasn't to shabby either 😁
Thanks!! Yes, this is analog (digitally controlled).
Next on Claptons board.
After his ring modulator
You shouldn’t ever forget the basics while floating in space. Multi-dimensional and omni-directional yields a higher probability of finding the rad.
I’ve also found that pedals are limited only by your imagination most times.
In my opinion it adds a bit too much distortion.
Filters like this don't actually create distortion but can cause distortion in your amp. I use a tube amp set to stage level so you can get an idea of how it will sound live. If you want it cleaner, a modeling amp or quieter amp will not overdrive as much. Thanks!
Not a bad pedal, but sadly to many dreadful sounds:(
@Peter Garcia The thing about filters is you can make them as subtle or ear piercing as you like. I like to show the whole range but you certainly don’t have to go extreme with it, backing off the resonance was a point where it sounded really warm and phasey.
Hard disagree. Pair this with one or two (or 6) other pedals and figure out the range, and you’re only limited by your imagination.
