he's humble and has gotten his juice in the industry by staying independent and putting people on independently. imo he's way funnier than chris rock and has a far better acting career than dave (and daves last couple specials suck lowkey), but his self awareness keeps him in touch with the culture and its the reason hes stays consistently creative. Respect him for always repping bernie because he's definitely the goat who passed too soon.

When Bernie explained the beef Steve had with him, it broke my heart. If Steve was really Bernie’s friend, that issue should have been able to be worked out between them. Bernie tried but Steve wasn’t having it. I believe it when Katt said they hated Bernie. Sometimes in this life, we can be more friend to others than they ever will be to us. The Mac Man was that guy.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I had always wondered what happened between them. However, what I know of the situation is based on what came out of Bernie’s mouth. Not sure where I saw it but Bernie explained what happened. He said he was interviewed by GQ magazine. During the interview, the interviewer asked him in a joking manner if Steve had ever stolen his jokes. Bernie said he responded in a joking manner that Steve was always stealing his jokes. Bernie said when the interview was published, the fact that the question was asked jokingly never made it to print.
The word then got out that Bernie said Steve was stealing his jokes. As you stated, I’m sure people helped put fuel on the fire.
Bernie said he called Steve from the hospital to explain what happened and from what he said, Steve didn’t want to accept what he said. He said he told Steve that they would talk about it when he came out of the hospital. Bernie never made it out.
I’ll take your word that Steve does a lot for the community, but I’m of the opinion that if you and I are really friends, no matter what other people say, unless I have proof otherwise, the benefit of the doubt goes to you. Not the other way around.
19 yr old chris tucker on that old def jam comedy was one of the funniest sets I've ever seen. He was PLATINUM in that moment. Blew the roof right off the place.

It’s so rare that a public figure shows their humanity yet at the same time allows us to see his greatness. It’s no longer about his comedy. It’s about the heart this man has for others. All the stories about him adopting 7 kids and giving back to the cities that blessed him to perform. All the people who are coming forward talking about how he helped them. In my book 3 of my favorites overall are Dave Chapelle, Katt Williams & Kenan Thompson. Can’t beat Dave’s ability & how he tells a story or joke & timing just perfectly his hook. Absolutely love some of Katts Jokes & his crazyness & thought process are tops. But my absolute favorite for me may actually be Kenan Thompson I absolutely love his body language, mannerisms & facial expressions. He just seems like he’d be the one I’d want to hang out with the most all day everyday. And I’m just an avg white dude not that that matters really. Kenan Is the only redeeming thing on SNL for a generation, aside from the jokes & banter between weekend update hosts Michael Che & Colin Jost. Rest is pretty much garbage & haven’t been able to watch except clips of Kenan & the Weekend Update. 🤷🏼♂️ Just my $0.02 Katt is near the pinnacle of comedy & May touch it at times.
