It breaks my heart to see him go through this, I’ve been in the same exact situation in life as he has fentanyl was my biggest demon I’ve now been clean almost 4 years I pray he gets his life back.

As goofy as it may sound, I always found that children are a snap shot of who you were at the time they were created. My kids were born at different periods of my life, and you can almost see who I, and there mom were at the time in each child. The kids are completely different.
I can see that. My kids are a full decade apart and very different. Same ethics and similar values, though.
He seems like such a sweet soul. As a person that lives near Philly, I can attest to his story of drugs being rampant in certain areas. Wish him the best.

It's a shit city. I was born and raised and left 12 years ago at 30.
I’ve never seen any kind of concept like this on CZcams. First bump into this channel and I was instantly hooked. Mark seriously helps the people that can never be helped or never gotten a chance to see the light. Seriously is one of a kind to show the world and at the same time to help the people in need. ❤️
Yea was very happy when I recently came upon his work, ive always wanted someone to do something like this an very happy hes the one. Now if people would just watch one of these instead of TMZ or Kardashians or w/e we would be better people to each other.

I first came across Mark's channel when CZcams suggested I watch the videos of the Whitaker family that are all born from incest.. I was immediately hooked. My first thought was how amazing Mark is and the empathy in his heart and soul. It was very obvious he cared about that family when most people wouldn't even acknowledge their existence in the world.

As you feel bad and relate to this guy watching this video, remember that if you came out one morning and your car was gone, and your life was suddenly chaotic and expensive, maybe even spiraling downward as a result, it was so a guy like this could blow the money on a couple days of drugs. And he ain't sitting around worrying about it. It's wonderful to have compassion for addicts, but have equal compassion for everyone caught in the wake of their destruction. We tend to focus on the addict as the 'victim' in our society, and romanticize their problem, but they create a huge number of very real victims and problems, as well. We tend to ignore that or downplay it.
Very realistic and important point.
Facts. I was drawn to him initially, his story felt so familiar, almost comforting. But then I snapped out it. Having been at the receiving end my family's addictions for a good part of my life, I don't feel bad for him at all. He absolutely doesn't worry that he may be upending the lives of those he is boosting from. Wish he would get clean, but he won't.

His health is in serious decline. Gun shot wound untreated & abscess? He’s in suicide mode. Bless the soul that dwells within.
I pray for his health and healing of his soul from his childhood trauma.
This dude may think that he’s doing well in his art career now as an addict but I can’t help but believe that he would do better clean or at least on methadone or suboxone. I’ve heard musical artists say they got MORE creative when they got clean. There’s no incentive to get clean because he believes he’s in a field where being a junkie is accepted. He has no incentive to get clean for himself unfortunately.
Rock stars don’t last long on hard drugs. They either get clean or die young.

As a fellow artist and someone who has suffered from depression my whole life I wish you all of the best. It’s the outlet that saved my life numerous times that is actually positive and life bringing. Don’t be scared to make big moves. Look for the clean artists to surround yourself with. We are out here! You are supported.
You can’t “rehab” someone who hasn’t been “habbed” to begin with. I’m afraid he has a very poor prognosis of getting off the streets due to his very poor start in life.

Hey Mark been a big fan of your channel for over 2 years now, your dedication and work is truly something. I had an idea after watching the video on Everett, how about asking your interviewees if they have a picture of themselves from a couple of years ago. I find that the full body picture you show during the video really gives a nice idea of what these people have been through, their clothing speaks words as well. Im sure Everett would be unrecognizable, seeing him with a proper haircut, trimmed beard and standing upright would be a really interesting addition in my opinion.
I live in Los Angeles, and I didn't hear of any racial violence in the area. I hope 🤞🏾 it stops and I don't become a victim. It's getting scary everywhere you go 💔💔

I'm actually living in Bucks County now too. Never in my life thought I'd become addicted to opiates. On a program now and not going near that garbage.
Basically a good guy who isn’t beyond help yet…the longer the addiction is there the slimmer the chance..there’s help as I’ve been off booze 31 years but had to get help from others in the same situation..I hope he gets help soon…he has to want it though

I notice a lot of comments on videos of female interviewees here that they seem like little girls or stunted at a certain age. I feel the same applies to Brian. He looks a bit younger than 39 but behaves and speaks as though decades younger to me.

I’m from Philly and it’s really bad but I really like Brian. I hope things work out for him he looks like he needs something positive and a little hope in his life. He doesn't think Kensington is that bad, because the Drug Dealers hang out and protect the drug addicts, because that's there money. Here on Skid Row, he gets robbed, and (according to Brians words) Allegedly the white boys are targeted because they always have money and merchandise due to heavy drug use.
He said it wasn't that bad before. And it wasn't. It was nothing like it is now. Bunch of animals.

People get triggered and go into a attack mode when they hear someone speak the simple truth that many homeless people are in that state because they're comfortable with it (as this man honestly stated about himself). Most negative circumstances that most people consistently find themselves in are results of personal choices having to do with comfort, even if the circumstances are overtly negative in many ways. There is an 'upside' of some kind to that person, hence their participation in the process. People stay in bad jobs, bad relationships, bad eating habits, unhealthy habits in general, bad financial circumstances, addiction, homelessness,etc, etc because they make choices that result in that outcome. This doesn't mean no one should help them, obviously, but being in denial about this fact and claiming it's 'offensive' to recognize it is totally unhelpful to anyone. The first step to people getting help must be the recognition that they have personal agency. And if they don't get help, pretending that agency doesn't exist in order to make them 'feel' better living in hell is not 'social justice,' it's dishonest and immoral.
i feel sorry for the shops with so mant stealing how do they even stay open? they dont realise the homeless that the THEFT THEY DO drives up the prices for everyone else
They have a DA with a ludicrous world view, refusing to support any business small or large. As long as it is one penny under $1,000 you can walk into a store and walk out with your groceries or cvs shopping, clothes, whatever. Staff are not paid enough to intervene. Security staff are not paid enough to risk their lives by being stabbed. If caught, the DA refuses to prosecute, so it is waste of time for the Police to do the paperwork. Politicians cut the Police force in LA by $150 Million last year so Law Enforcement are moving out of LA and in droves out of State. But Newson survived a recall vote. So give the voters what they want. 🙄The wealthy live in high security, and can afford losses. The rest, too bad. Life is unfair. You can’t fix stupid. I also feel awful for the small businesses and victims of Crime. I guess if they ever want change they will have to move or vote.

Or compare his to the many others on this channel? He's flirting with the devil. He's taking full 1 gram shots of Fentanyl. .2 grams is lethal for most. U see his neck? He's either shooting up in his neck bc his veins are all collapsed or the hospital had to carve through his neck to find a good vein. So if he doesn't end up murdered he has a high chance of committing suicide. Don't get me wrong I don't wish this upon him. I just hope he reads my comment and wants to prove me wrong. Nothing else has changed the course of his life.

Aka pass a background check, pass a mental hygiene check, & have a minimum credit score of 700 or prove of long term income that can support a child. We have to meet these requirements to own a 🔫 or to get a good car insurance rate. If it could be calculated I would bet money that bad parenting has resulted in more death than guns and auto homicides combined. What are ur thoughts on this?
His brother pursuing education and career isn't a different type of "escape" as he put it but rather responsible behavior of a person who grew up around irresponsible people. He chose to carry on with the irresponsible behavior where his brother did not. He is trying to blur his own bad choices with his brother's good choices as different type of "escapes". Being responsible and doing the right thing isn't an "escape" from anything at all. It is the opposite of an "escape".

It’s probably their non-dominant arm (so for most people the left) because they use their dominant/right hand to hold and inject the needle. So their left arm takes the most abuse from having dope injected in it , much more than the right arm would

It’s a bit too much for me to run three channels at the same time while doing everything else I do. That was a mistake. Hopefully, you’ll see those videos on CZcams again (permanently this time). CZcams keeps demonetizing my videos (female sex workers especially) and I battle with their arbitrary decisions constantly. It’s a lot to explain here, but please try to understand that I’m fighting to keep this channel going and if my content is demonetized I’m done. All these videos will be on the SWU subscription channel eventually. I’m just trying to get them on CZcams as well.

I'm a fellow Philly boy myself. As soon as he started talking I could here the Philly in him. Wish you the best of luck my bro. There's a pretty much open drug market in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. It's absolutely horrible. It's so bad rt now. People walking around with holes in their skin from this dope that has dear and horse tranquilizer in it and of course Fetty. It's awful. It puts you straight to sleep 😴

Kensington and Skid Row are pretty much a match. Kenzie has a little bit smaller population. Is horrible with the drugs and heartbreaking everyday to see it. I ride the L train everyday to work and it goes past Kensington. Tacony it's pretty rough as well. The whole city is a mess. We are a small City here in Philly but our crime and drug problems are very large. The things going on now remind me of the Reagan years very very difficult times

I was a heroin addict for over 3 years and never stole a single thing from anyone. There's just no excuse I got up and went to work everyday high as f*** and ran my own side business on the weekends to support my habit
