I bought my husband a little boat for his birthday and we took it out on the lake today. He caught the biggest freshwater fish of his life, a 16 inch crappie! On a red wiggler! That's the only thing better than watching your videos!

I've caught a lot of 14" crappies but I have never seen a broader more perfectly formed one. What a beautiful specimen! Cudos to you Richard for releasing that crappie. Love this man. I apply all the crappie techniques to fish trout and always do well! Maybe instead of a shad I’ll use a power worm or night crawler.. but all jig head and ultra light tackle!

When crappie school up, nothing works better than a broker sack of onions, then chopped up and thrown out in that area. Let someone paddle or use the trolling motor, then scatter the fresh cut onions out heavy over the area. Then circle back around and when they come up crying, just dip them up with a dip net😂.
