I have an Opolar for my laptop, it does work if you're not using an ultrabook. It's a more powerful fan, but I wouldn't recommend this for new laptops. Im not completely sure but the suction i think kills the fan inside of the laptop so you end up needing the opolar to be on all the time. I like to think my laptop is on life support at this stage, since it needs to be plugged in all the time, with the opolar and a ethernet cable.

I actually bought the Opolar thing for my laptop and it worked amazingly well. My laptop was always having really bad overheating problems and nothing I did was able to fix it so I tried that and it actually worked! The temperature dropped significantly so it gets a pass from me at least :)
That Toshiba Fire TV though... I suppose this is what happens when they have crappy packaging in the box. I presume it didn't have any Styrofoam to protect it and it probably rained and had water seep through. Hopefully Amazon refunds this.

You could always file a claim with Amazon.
UPS automatically insures the first $100 of every package sent via UPS; after that (if you didn't buy additional insurance) you're on your own. 99% of the time amazon will take the blow for it and issue a refund.

Austin - don't hate on the Opolar cooler. Would work on old thicc laptops that needs better cooler. Works great on my old Y580.

On my Sager NP5165 I overvolted the GPU, with the opolar cooler I was able to push the overclock even further because my temps dropped by 10 degrees

As someone who uses an older gaming laptop, the opolar cooler is actually really useful. It obviously wont work on a laptop that thin, but for an older machine that is normal thickness it makes a big difference in terms of heat. For me personally, it can increase my fps by 30 at times due to its cooling
That Opolar cooler does work. Me and my buddy has run benchmarks on his laptop. And not really meant for tiny slim laptops like you tried it out on.

Those laptop vacuums seriously work. my GF's gaming laptop has two on the rear, it keeps it from overheating all the time. Her model has a Temperature readout of the heat exhaust, different silicone shrouds to match the size of other laptops too.

That laptop cooler thing, appears to be designed more with old 2007 laptops in mind, as I had an Acer Aspire 5050 from that time, where its fan died, but still ran for long enough for the system firmware to not display an error code, so it ran really hot when in use.

I actually own one of those Opolar laptop fans and it has worked wonders for my laptop eliminating a lot of thermal throttling when playing games or editing video.
I have the exact Opolar side laptop fan and an older style laptop with larger vents that the fan was actually meant for and it works really well to get the hot air out of my laptop while a bottom laptop fan sucks cool air in.

my old laptop got so laggy just by all the dust collected inside.
with this small vaacum fan it really got a lot better.
the external cooler sucks all the warm air out of the laptop housing which gives better cooling and better performance. works really well for me.

the opolar fan is really good ... it helped me with my acer laptop. it got very warm inside and the fans from itself werent that powerful to get all the hot air out. and the opolar does exactly this : getting all the hot air out of your laptop and that gave me around 300% more power to play
I have one of the egg steamer. There isn't a need to poke a hold into it. And there is an auto shut off once the water has evaporated. I've had it for 3 years with no issue.

When I gamed on a laptop before building my rig, the opolar laptop cooler actually really saved my life. It sucked the hot air out and kept the temps down while gaming. Actually saw FPS stability thanks to this. It's not as useless as you make it seem. The point isn't to make your laptop fans faster, just to reduce the amount of heat inside your laptop.
I bought that Egg Cooker. It was obviously very well-used and missing everything but the device, lid, and instructions.I put it in a closet with my other novelty kitchen appliances that seemed like a good idea but which I seldom use. Which I probably would have done anyway, it's no easier to use than just boiling eggs in water anyway.

I've used the opolar laptop cooler on an asus ROG laptop for about six months now, actually does drop your temps, i was gaming at 70-79c, hitting 63-66 with this installed on my ROG at speed 12
My wife and i bought one of the toshiba tvs as well and had the same issue on the same spot! ours wasnt as bad but amazon replaced it and not an issue since. It is actually a pretty good tv for the price.

the opolar you just reviewed is infact the most efficient air cooler that I have ever purchase my girlfriend's laptop after I changed her Apu for a more powerful one that was hitting over 99 degrees Celsius and after using the opolar it drops down to 65 degrees Celsius allowing the laptop to not shut down because of temperatures so the way it works pulling are outside of the laptop allows for more air to be pulled inside the laptop which makes sense. so you should really in fact do a review on the opolar cuz you will see the difference for sure more than going from Air cooling to water cooling

Bose actually made 2 versions of those QC headphones. The difference between the Android and iOS version is the iOS version has a 3 button mic for volume and play/pause/calling, while the Android version only has a single button mic. So if you used the Android version on an iPhone you won't get volume control you'll only get play/pause
