Love when people argue about art. Saying he can't sing is like saying non-realistic painters can't paint. There aren't any rules, there is only your personal taste. You have to make an artwork as you want it to be. I think he wants to sing like that. To me the songs couldn't be more perfect. They 'speak to me' in a way few songs can.

IE when you've lost your everything, you have to step up and be there for yourself.
