I think i will wait for the sp1
Is it possible to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 insider preview and then upgrade from Windows 11 Insider preview to Windows 11 full version when it comes without losing my files and programs? And lastly, do you recommend me to upgrade from my stable Windows 10 home to Windows 11 insider preview? My only computer atm is the Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H gaming laptop that was released and bought in 2021 a few months ago.
Yes you will be able to move from the beta to the final release and keep your files. As mentioned in the video I believe Windows 11 beta is stable enough that I am using it.
@@SeleTraining Cool. As a precaution i have created a recovery usb-drive for my Legion's system. In case i need to reformat and install Windows again. I am going to join the insider program right now. Thanks a ton for the reply.
@@SeleTraining I saw in another video on another channel about Windows 11 that before the full version gets released you must opt out of the insider program or something like that, is that anything you know anything about? Because i don't want to format my ssd and install clean Windows 11 or 10 just to upgrade. What must i do to recieve the full version once it comes? My gaming laptop updated automatically today to this build: 22000.194 co_release
@@P4ND3R550N My understanding at this time is that you can switch out of the insider preview program back to the normal channel and it will update to the final release without losing any of your data or apps. Of course if you stay in the insider preview program it will still work as Windows 11 and you'll get updates quicker. The final version won't show up for everybody on Oct 5. It will role out over several months.
@@SeleTraining Okay. Thanks for the answer.
he kinda sounds like Technoblade
The minimum requrements have two reasons, both are not pointed out by you. First is they want you to buy a new computer with a new windows license included. Second is they are lazy and don't want to test for old hardware anymore. In the end this will make windows 11 fail, because they cut out 3/4 of all windows users from updating. Even Apple is not that rerstrictive. If I run Windoes 10 or 11 on TPM 1.2 or secure boot? Where is the difference. Exactly there is none. It my personal problem.
Actually, Windows 11 is a free upgrade from any existing Windows 10 license. I’ll agree they don’t want to test for old hardware anymore. Those have more problems and are more prone to malware which is why Microsoft is pushing the TPM requirement. Also most computers with TPM 1.2 can update with firmware without the hardware purchase.
@@SeleTraining Who can update a firmeware? Ppl will the buy a new computer before. Dontn't messure with your standards. It just about the money. Any virus scanner would catch malware. The vrius thing is nosense. They want toi sell new OEM licenses. Thats what is about. ;)
