  • Can you self drive in Tanzania? We're about to find out!
Welcome to our 9 day self drive adventure in Tanzania! We entered through the Taveta land border in Kenya and it was very quick and painless to get through.
Our 9 day self drive adventure starts in the city of Arusha where we collected our rental vehicle and got some rest before our journey North towards the stunning views of Lake Natron!

We had to go to Tanzania quickly while she was with her grandparents. Don't worry, she's back after this Tanzania series 😊

You know the roads are bad when Shilashi has TWO spare tires on the back of their trucks.

Awesome! My partner and I actually stayed in Africa safari arusha last year november and we LOVED the place. It was perfect before our safari to the Serengeti. The road to the place was bumpy though 😅

The pressure of that river crossing was insane so please be very careful especially when you are alone. TZ is a nice place. 🙂

I like salted Chapati too so I don’t think it’s weird or crazy to eat Chapati with salt if it doesn’t have enough salt. If someone is making Chapati for you ask them to put salt and no sugar. Extra salt probably for you

Maybe it was just around Arusha, but everywhere we drove on that first day was maximum 50, and our taxi driver said that its 50 everywhere 🤷🏻

      Rules of the road
The speed limit in rural areas in Tanzania is 80kph and in urban areas it is 60kph. In Tanzania the police generally rely on mobile speed traps. If you are caught by a mobile unit, you will be given a ticket on the spot. pay the traffic cops if cught its easier @@WhereNextFamily
