    Mitsubishi Miracle Threading (MMT) OD and ID inserts are available in general purpose and specialized thread forms for the Aerospace, Pipe and Gas Industries in both M and G-class inserts.
    MMT M-class insert are manufactured utilizing sharp edge technology to minimize burrs and feature 3-D chip breakers. For applications that require a higher level of precision, G-class inserts are available in a wide range for thread forms.
    MMT inserts are available in micro-grains grades VP10MF or VP15TF. VP Miracle grades are suitable for general steels to high temperature alloys and will provide the performance and tool life you expect from Mitsubishi Carbide products.

    Would be more interesting if there were examples with tougher metals (40 HRC upwards).

    When threading harden materials 45 to 55hrc; I suggest a ground insert for maximum edge strength, possible reduction in the number of threading passes and appropriate SFM for the carbide grade -VP15TF (65to195 Sfm) VP10MF (100to230 Sfm)-. Additional technical information and troubleshooting tips are in C005A page G012 and pages G022 thru G033.

    Why in OD threading the No.of passess is more ?? 10 to 14 passes here...How to determine no.of passess in OD threading? Pls help me
