- The University of Utah Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Barlow Bradford performs Joshua Fit the Battle at their 2014 Bon Voyage concert in the Libby Gardner Concert Hall
My junior high concert choir class is singing this and Elijah Rock which is also by Moses Hogan. We are doing it for our last choir concert this year. After 27 years, this is our amazing teacher's last year here so we are going big. Rocky Mountain Jr. High will miss you Mr. Saunders 😢
I remember when I was working at a restaurant in Quebec and I was the one in charge that night, some students from I don’t remember the schools in the US came for a dinner. They sang me this song when they finished. I wished I had record this. I feel so grateful for this moment.
The prof told me this song was for me. English isn’t my native language so I didn’t get it at this moment

Nice to hear this kind of fullness in sound of a choir from this region. Usually tonal richness and color are sacrificed to a "blended" aesthetic which, while beautiful, is more of the same. when a choir director allows the women to fully use the expanse of the voice, it makes for much more compelling and moving singing to my ear.
Before I made it into Varsity Choir I heard them do this and I was so excited. We ended up doing Elijah Rock 🙌🏼

I DID ELIJAH ROCK IN 6TH GRADE AND I LOVED IT, I'm doing Joshua now and I'm in 8th

I cannot really like the song because I am forced to study it for music class in high school, it's kind of impossible to admire this song.
Yeah alot is going on, but you have to find the one that flows the best for you, this one is nice but not impressive
I think it is much better to SING this song than to 'study' it. Actually, I study songs only when I can SING them. What it is the point of talking about excitement, if you cannot FEEL it?
