It’s going to be tough…. Idk if our fast guys are going to be fast enough. Hopefully the coaches have put some thought into lil plays to beat 131

Rick even got upset because he was confident that the Coyotes player simply tripped over Silovs' paddle. 🙈

Not even a mention of Hughes' amazing skating in the third to led to Garland's goal?

I don't think " the edge of their seats " is accurate. I think " breaking their seat in anger and disgust " would be more accurate.

The Peterson hit was def a hospital pass by Garland lol. He lead him into the defender. Now Petey could of just tipped the puck in. But to say he needed more spacial awareness is kinda funny 😂

This is the best team Vancouver ever had. Put the negatives towards other teams and give positive support to them.

I would disagree it's the best ever... the 2010-11 team that went to the finals is the best. that team was number one in both goals for and goals against that season. that is an amazing stat! yes, they did lose to boston in seven, but it was the best canuck team ever... this year's version has to win it all to be called 'the best ever', so not yet...

Needed that win, especially after Edmonton lost today. But Edmonton has four games upcoming that they can easily win. Two games against the Coyotes, one against the Sharks and one against Calgary. So the Canucks still need to be worried about the Oilers passing them in the division.

    • @jasonjansen9831
      @jasonjansen9831 Před 2 měsíci +3

and yet TSN already declared the Pacific division race over. I don't know what they're smokin over there but Edmonton can still catch and pass Vancouver for sure.

@@jasonjansen9831 Obviously mathematically possible, but highly unlikely. Both teams are basically playing .500 hockey in the last 10. If the Canucks go 3-3, the Oilers would have to go 7-1 to catch up. The Oilers have two more back-to-backs, games against Avs (x2), VGK, and Canucks.

@@samy467 You’re forgetting one important thing. 4 out of the Canucks’ 6 remaining games are against playoffs teams. They have to face the Oilers, Jets, Kings and Knights. Those are hard matchups for the Canucks, especially since their PDO has regressed a lot since the All-Star Break. It’s not crazy to think that they can lose all those matchups.

I think it's time we go beyond simply saying Mikeyev is unlucky as far as his goal-scoring ability. It is obvious he has hands of stone as far as goal-scoring proficiency. If he was at least contributing with assists, hits, shot blocks, or a high face-off win percentage you could justify his playing time. I also do not see Suter, Amman, or Lafferty playing with the same urgency and passion as Hoglander and Podkolzin. Maybe it is time to bring PDG or some more youth into the lineup?

I'm a fan of the Canucks, but I'm also a realist. Canucks have too much dead weight on this team to win even the 1st round.
In the playoffs you need all cylinders firing, and that's just NOT the case.
Mykheyev, Suter, Myers, Lindholm, and even our illustrious Super Star have some kind of mental blocks. Because they are mentally fragile, they can't put on their "big boy pants" and simply stop sulking, and just work hard to get out of their funk they are in.
The way Petey sulks, stops skating, and drops his head when he blows a play is very disturbing IMO ....a testament to how immature this kid still is

Mental blocks? Mental fragility? Sulking? Disturbing and Immature?
If only more players could take advantage of your professional and up to the minute accurate diagnosis of EVERYTHING doctor @douggarden
It is beggars belief that anyone would wright or let alone think these car crash thoughts of yours.
I suggest that someone should put on some pants instead of all this underwear rage coming from your little bedroom.

The hit on Pettersson was more Garland's fault for passing it when anyone could see the Coyotes lining up at the blueline. It would have been better to dump it in or pass it to the guy on the boards. The refs have to start being less biased against the Canucks. That second penalty against Hughes should NOT have been called. Too often the refs make a call on appearances. Like the Zadorov "high sticking" the night before. Also the refs seem to give the Canucks 5 minutes on borderline boarding calls. Yet they call the opposition for 2 minutes only? crikey the bias. There was another boarding call in the Devils Rangers game yesterday that was worse then Zadorov's play and it was only 2 minutes!!!
