Joe Flynn as King Vitamin, Daws Butler as Blue Baron, and Bill Scott as Sir Cravenleigh. Daws, Bill Scott, Paul Frees, and June Foray did the voices on the classic Cap'n Crunch commercials. All of them, combined, easily did thousands upon thousands of commercials, cartoon characters, and radio programs. Paul Frees was the original voice of the Pillsbury Doughboy. Paul used his Peter Lorre impression on the Boo-Berry monster cereal commercials. Their cartoon voice work is just as legendary.

My fave ROFLMAO bits were the ones where The King would tell his Knight "Pour the milk on your King Vitaman"
And the Knight obliged .. LITERALLY!
To which a soggy King sputtered: "Not ME, you moron, THE CEREAL! THE CEREAL!"

Did the same three people provide voices for all of the cartoon characters iin the 60's and 70's? It seems like it! I remember the commercials for this cereal, but I don't think I ever had it.

Jay Ward, that name sounds familiar...
    *looks up*
Oh I see... Well, that would explain why so many of these commercials look so similar to his work.

A lot of that, I think, had to do with the fact that commercials were longer back then and the writers and voice actors/actresses had the time to make the characters and the commercials as memorable as the products they were selling. Even if a well written and performed commercial would air today chances are it wouldn't be seen by many as everyone's in the habit of changing the channel when commercials air or talking over a commercial with another person in the room.

That stuff was TWICE as good (or should I say twice as sweet) as Cap'n Crunch...I had it years later and they removed most of that original sugar content....

Joe Flynn..? Joe was imitated by John Stephenson as nasty zookeeper Mr.Peevely for the 1971 Hanna-Barbera "Help It's the Hair Bear Bunch" and others, since Joe didn't sound Joe Flynn enough. Heck, Joe Flynn himself here doesn't sound at ALL like Peevly/Stephenson as Flynn...!

Actually, iron is a mineral, not a vitamin. Vitamins are organic compounds, while minerals are inorganic.
