Been using Instinct 2X for 1.5yrs, love it. Was thinking about going AMOLED, but the Enduro 3 just looks so much better for an Instinct user who loves the MIP and the extra long battery. And this has the same software and major feature set as the new Fenix except for the mic/speaker... I think this is an easy decision for an upgrade.
It's definitely brighter and more clear. Just received mine today and wearing it for about 5 hours I'm not sure if you would notice it unless you were holding it up against an older MIP display. But there is a video out on CZcams.
Great review. I am interested in their thickness enduro 3, but I am hesitant due to the 51mm diameter. I currently have the 47mm fenix 7 pro. Is it possible to share your wrist circumference as I could have an idea of how it will fit on my slim wrist
Thank you very much. With me having a 17.5cm left wrist. Do you think that this would be too big for me. And would you three have a personal preference between the 'Fenix 8' and the 'Enduro 3’? I am coming from the ‘Fenix 6 Sapphire’ with its battery rapidly deterioating and not being replacable according to Garmin. A scandal if you ask me for a watch in that price range and for someone who hates throwing mint condition items into a recycle bin.
As someone who has a forerunner 745 and is planning to do some ultras (100m at most and Ironmans) would you suggest one of the new watches or the forerunner 965?
Watch looks great and massive! However coming from a 965 with Oled imo its going to be a downgrade in the screen sharpness... So I'm hesitant about that. Other than that the design looks great! Not bothered that the back is plastic as well. You're not looking at the back of your watch anyway :P
I literally received my Enduro 2 today. Haven’t opened it yet and debating whether to return for the 3. Big snag is I got the 2 for £550 down from £729 via Yellow Jersey’s Rewards page. As of yet the 3 isn’t on there. Basically struggling to justify the extra £200. What would I actually be getting that justifies the extra money? Other fairly massive snag is I ordered the 2 to come in time for an ultra race this Saturday. I have an old forerunner 935 that I’m not convinced has 12 hours of GPS recording in it (plus the altimeter & barometer are broken). I could wear it and charge it at feed stations if I felt I’d regret unwrapping the 2 only to wish I’d bought the 3 but obviously I’d prefer to wear a new and reliable watch. Any and all advice very welcome!
i have an Enduro 2, Battery life changes don't seem that great to me to justify buying a new watch as i don't do Ultras, but the display clarity, that is another game. I was trying to sell my enduro to get an amoled unit for the screen clarity, and this new one seems very nice. The only downpoint i see is the design, i actually don't fancy the new designs that much. :\ The bottom line is, the Enduro 2 is already 95% of what the Enduro 3 is.
Enduro series will never be anything but the largest size, since the large battery is the main selling point. The smaller Fenixs are the same features but smaller battery so those are your models to look at.
It looks like the Enduro 3 is a Fenix 7x Pro Solar in a different body with a tiny bit longer battery life. Is the screen brightness the same as the Fenix 7x Pro as they did it improve it over the original 7x or is it even better than the 7x pro as far as brightness is concerned?
@@JasonRaneses Usually the solar only extends the battery it doesn't charge it. I've had 3 of their solar watches. I'm talking from dead, could you charge the watch using the sun.
@@baaboo21 Charge is a generic way of describing it. Solar is more suited for topping up the battery or keeping it level, depending on how much sun you are getting. I liked having it on previous Garmin watches, however the solar panel implementation at the time made the screen harder to read, especially with maps. What Garmin is doing on these models with the new panel should make a good difference in terms of readability.
Ok thank you. It’s a bit disappointing in my opinion. The watch is 1200$ in Canada it would have been cool to have a metal plate just like the previous gen
@@claytoncarmine1516 I feel the same, although I understand the point is to make it as lightweight as possible. I am not sure how much 1200$ in Canada is, but here the watch is cheaper than Enduro 2 was when it came out.
Unfortunately this video proves that doesn’t make sense still to buy Garmin. I was waiting for this reveal because I need to get new watch but I will stick to Apple Watch Ultra 3 because garmin doesn’t offer anything that AW doesn’t have already for a lower price!
First, the AWU 3 isn’t out and no specs are guaranteed. That said, Apple will eventually bring their silicon efficiency to the watch lineup and it’s only a matter of time before they provide better battery life. Maybe not in this next gen but in the one after.
@@JasonRaneses yes, the ultra 3 will be released September 9 but as we knew a lot about Fenix and enduro before release we also know that AWU 3 will be slightly better than recent model. If they manage to increase battery life with a new chip then it will be very competitive watch for a Garmin.

Same here. I have 2X but thinking about the upgrade to this Enduro 3. Just need to wait for some sale.
The battery life is insane 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Shame I already sold both kidneys for other watches in the past ... damn
You only need one eye for running. Sell a cornea!
🤣
Wow it’s been a long time waiting for this E3❤ price is lovely than FENIX8 SOLAR
is the MIP display brighter than the 7/7x/pro solar or the same?
This is the right question...
SHOULD be brighter since there isn't the solar panel overlay. It got replaced with the thicker solar ring
I had F6 without solar and the readability was great. Now F7pro is very poor. Looking for the answer here.

still trying to decide between the E3 and solar Fenix 8. was initially looking at 47mm solar but will try 51 for size
I can't wait to get my Fenix 8 Amoled
Nice brief review, as always!
May I suggest a comparison between the “battery kings”, i.e. Garmin E3, Suunto Vertical and Coros V3?
Bought it immediaetly after release lol😅. Battery life is crazy.
Hi, thank you! Your choice, Fenix 7xPro saphire or Enduro3? ❤
Enduro 3 with eSIM is the Fenix 8 everybody wanted.

Not quite as bad as Mike though!

I will hold onto my 965 for a year or so more and then pick up the endu 3 for around £500
Why Garmin put plastic cap on our loved E3, lesser quality than E2.
Lesser weight = win. One might think :')

All I have heard is they removed the solar panel behind the main MIP screen to make it better. Whether that is better than the 7x pro I'm not sure.
Would love an Amoled + Solar version of this.
Enduro 2 looks much better. This one looks more like a metall foreunner
is it cheaper than the 2?
on garmin website its a 50€ diference between Enduro 2 and Enduro 3 :/
Is it rated for scuba diving ?
Negative, see the Fenix 8 for scuba activities.
No. Read the specc sheet before asking these questions
To be honest, not much improvements from Enduro 2 (which I own). I will probably switch to Fenix 8 with OLED and microphone.
