My last year of highschool, my history teacher would read trivia cards for places on the couch during class. One day, he started grinning then sang the first few lines of this song and said whoever can finish it will get the couch for a month. I sang the whole song acapella. Everyone was staring at me as I sang along with him then kept going. I was just staring at my desk. Haha I loved that!
My grandmother and I talked and this should’ve been played at my late uncle’s funeral. I can’t remember the reason we said but it does remind me of him.
You have my respect! That is so awesome that you knew this great song. It seems like kids these days are into trash and have forgotten the really great music that is out there. Kudos to you!
my last name is Earp and im proud to be related to him. my brothers middle name is wyatt. my little brothers first name is morgan and my middle name is james.
ever since I first heard the Eagles sing this I fell in love with the song. I truly didn't think it could get any better than it already was, and then I heard Clint Black sing it. Wow. not only does he have an amazing voice but this is one of the most meaningful songs I've heard. Music like this is hard to find nowadays. Seems like everybody just wants to make money rather than produce meaningful music. But oh well I'll listen to older music until the day that I die and I have absolutely no problem with it.
They should do one that says "Don't try the "King" of Diamonds "girl!" "He'll beat you if he's able" because girls get pursued all the time but it's those losers who they try to fix is what destroys them.... they aren't getting any younger either.
Eric Heflin don't you believe that you go out and blaze your own trails,it's a tough life al round,but you can do it.my mom threw me out when I was 13 that was the best thing they could have done for me I learned to get a life
@dadmamouth I also think it helped that Garth produced the much better hits...never like Clint's hits after his first album, while Garth kept on getting better in the 90s.
Anyone know how I can find the movie Deserado shown in the beginning of this video? The main character's name is Duall McCall. I saw this on TV once and loved it. There is also a sequel movie, but I can't recall the title.
this might be a really stupid question and it probably is LOL but who in the world is the man in the picture? Cuz I've seen Clint Black that's definitely not him haha
Yeah, this is a cover of The Eagles, but I think this version is way better. This song was better suited as a country song rather than a soft rock song.

Clint Black does this song best, he just has that authentic twang and cowboy nuance in his voice that just makes this song perfect
Gran cantante. Saludos desde Chile❤
My all time favorite song! Being a Cowboy all my life made it tough to find the woman! This song says it all...
One of the greatest versions. Clean, passionate, and just awesome. Very rare when it's better than the original but this one to me is.
My grandmother and I talked and this should’ve been played at my late uncle’s funeral. I can’t remember the reason we said but it does remind me of him.
I always love this song.
This is the best version of this song
There have been so many covers of this but I love this version. :-) when country was still country.
@shilohbus29
He is Alex McArthur who starred as Duel McCall in the "Desperado" TV movie series in the 80s. The films were superb.
this may be the truest song i've heard in my life. Long live the desperado, but when you grown old, you'll see the sense in this song.
I don't like country music but I love Clint Black
Great song and Voice, I think we all have a little Desperado in us
You have my respect! That is so awesome that you knew this great song. It seems like kids these days are into trash and have forgotten the really great music that is out there. Kudos to you!

@deebs4000 He also played the part of an alien on an Outer Limits episode. (No cowboy hat, though)

I see everyone's favorite version of this song are all the best country singers, but what about the Eagles!?!?!
The Eagles did a good job with this, but Clint Black and Garth Brooks put the emotion into the song that it needed
darn straight man, I'm 14 too and this beats any taylor swift garbage they play these days...
Awesome cover. His voice is a finely tuned instrument.
Good song my momma said this would be me along time ago and said I better wisen up son
Eric Heflin don't you believe that you go out and blaze your own trails,it's a tough life al round,but you can do it.my mom threw me out when I was 13 that was the best thing they could have done for me I learned to get a life

Dedicated this song to my ex back in the 80's.He did not heed the warning.
kimberly longman Most of us men don’t.
@deebs4000 Thanks. I guess I missed those at the time, I'll check them out.
i am impressed
Can we get a special recording of this song?
Desperado - The Eagles featuring Clint Black
It says my name in the video and where I used to live.
I bought this on iTunes years ago, then suddenly they switched mine out for the Live version, which isn't nearly as good as this one.
@whiskeybutt91
my fave too though his live version is great
linda ronstadt has a great version also...
good song
@playmeaditty The live version is good too
Anyone know how I can find the movie Deserado shown in the beginning of this video? The main character's name is Duall McCall. I saw this on TV once and loved it. There is also a sequel movie, but I can't recall the title.
@austintex117 The Quick And The Dead 1987 tv movie
@juggaleaux
lol glad you liked it
1:38 Alex Mc Arthur. Yum
Who is the longhaired young cowboy in the last frame of this video?
Might I ask where you found this version? I, like "playmeaditty", really prefer this version. Thank you!!
I was soldier at one time didn't figure anyone love me cause I was damaged goods
does anyone know the name of the duel McCall movie ?
I think this is the next best version under the Eagles, and people give that frickin' Amero broad more credit!
What movie is that at 3:30
I like Clint Blacks version over the Eagles.
this song was never in either version of quick and the dead.
Seinfeld brought me here!
screw despiceto desperado is the best
Almost as good as The Eagles' version!
this might be a really stupid question and it probably is LOL but who in the world is the man in the picture? Cuz I've seen Clint Black that's definitely not him haha
There are many, but the first one is Alex McArthur. The song was used as the main title for the 5 movies he did for this TV movie series.
@deebs4000 Ok thanks
ha i can play this on the piano, and the recorder
Hi english class!
Yeah, this is a cover of The Eagles, but I think this version is way better. This song was better suited as a country song rather than a soft rock song.
@2403SaGa they staring bc they dont know the song
I think the best version of this song is the Garth Brooks version
a3grimreaper jhonny cash dose it better
Nah man the eagles
I have to agree. The Eagles had the best version.
I dislike country music with an intense passion, and even *I* "Liked" this.
This is good, but none of you poor scrubs have heard Johnny Cash sing this song? Johnny's is automatically the best because well... he's Johnny Cash.
Kenny Rodgers version is better,,,,,but this is good....
Love this song
