      Yes, the PureHMO powder will move into the colon eventually because HMO powder can not be digested in stomach and small intestines, as human does not secrete the specific enzymes to break it down. Only gut microbes can.

    As you said, the butyrate percentage at 10:00 is not very meaningful because they are assuming all butyrate producing species produce equal amounts of butyrate. They are not accounting for a genus like Blautia that produces very little butyrate. If you are Blautia-dominant and you test fecal butyrate, it will be fairly low and would completely contradict this graph.

      @@cghrios783 That's a question for him. In theory small amounts of butyrate delivered to the colon might do some good. Too much butyrate would be harmful. It's not clear that any supplement gets very much to the colon.
