For hyper-critical situations with rivnuts, we've always thrown them in the freezer prior. When they shrink you can use a smaller drill bit - after they warm back up they fit even better and prevents them from 'spinning'
ANDRXW or you could call up Matt Field The Rivnut Reverend and have him call upon the power of Stone Cold Steve Austin to install the your Rivnuts.

Thank you for posting this. I never thought about cutting the arches. I always wondered why most all the over fender setups had arches that looked different than ones I saw on cars with lots of steering angle. I always assumed they had different kit's. I'm cutting my arches tmr!

You can stick steel washers on the back of the rivnuts for plastic bumpers etc

when your drilling, wrap regular blue masking tape around how deep you want the drill bit to go to act like a stop - i work on boats all day it comes in handy a lot
quick question, i have the same chassis but with the 4banger, did you remove the security wheel lock spring in the ignition? i noticed you can turn your wheels side to side freely without the car being turned on . just curios cus id like to do the same.

When you are doing sheet metal work nothing beats a stepdrill bit. Cuts the drilling work in half having the pilot at the tip and your finish size 4 steps away. Sold Taylor on them the first time he tried them.

N im guna go 1jz vvti swap, use the adapter kit to run the stock bmw trans n shit. Its guna be my clean daily/drift car to start makin a name for myself on the track. I'm currently in the Mercedes family and I've only owned Mercedes my entire life. The only reason I want an E36 is to drift cuz the aftermarket support for my Mercedes is basically non existent :/

After the swap my cluster lights went out and the same with the a/c and heater controls. But my tachometer and gas-temp gauges work.
Sounds like a harness problem.
Had the same issue with my inner tie rods Chelsea, any aftermarket ones I tried only lasted me like 6 months tops. I've got some oem German ones I'm getting ready to try next and see how long they hold up.
Craig Elmer if they are German they will last a long time that's for sure! What brand is it? I try to get OEM German parts whenever it's possible for my Mercedes. I like the brand lemfoerder for suspension parts and stay away from anything URO! URO brand is garbage and will not last long at all. Ive used it in the past and parts failed ridiculously quick. Theirs a joke in our Mercedes forum where we say URO stands for, U Replace Often.

Just curious, I know BC makes a true coilover conversion for the Ti but i’m not sure if I trust it. Which one would you go with for best overall performance? True or separate shock and spring in the rear?

Buy a cheap body saw from harbor freight and might not miss cut. Just saying it might be a little easier then using a jig saw.

How much you guys think over fenders are?
Hey! The front is 40mm and because it's e30 in the rear - 40mm there as well. But we now use our new material, it's flexible - if you need, you can install them with slight pressure and gain additional +20mm (front and rear). If your question was about the price - it's $600.

i think they mean you can put spacers under the lower part of the overfender to gain those extra 20mm in width
Move the front part of the over a bit to the back and vice versa with the rear part by moving it bit to the front - the middle part (arch) flexes and you have gained +20mm. The extra pressure is good, no worries about that. Btw, you will have to sanden out 0.1" at the fuel cover part. You can do the spacer thing as well, we just didn't make the special spot for it as it was done for sedan overs.
