  • Located in Oguta, Imo State, the Oguta lake is one that is embedded with its traditional belief
    The two river flows side by side but never mixing. River OGBUIDE and URASHI are known to be male and female, basically husband and wife that had a quarrel, since then, they have flowed separately.
    The green river is OGBUIDE and the Brown is URASHI
    Nowadays, the two are deities; man and wife have become god and goddess.
    There are two separate shrines where worshippers invoke and offer supplication to them; one on each side of the river.

    I’m named after the Obana River in Mgbidi. I hope to visit one day. This is the coolest thing ever!

    Wow, I didn't know such existed in the east. I'm familiar with okun and osa in lagos, never knew about urashi and ogbuide. Keep up the good work, I was very entertained

    Good sight and good job. please don't tell children the ridiculous story of husband and wife turning to river because that isn't true.

    Why didn't you use your hand to mix the waters small lezz see what wee happen😂

  • @chukwunyereacholonu1441

    I've heard much about this, but this is my first time seeing it. Too bad I'm not a water small boat kind of a person. Such things should be on billboards not governor's faces

      You should be scared, no life jacket.

  • @Fontabele
    @Fontabele Před 10 měsíci

    It is worrisome that the so-called educated people are traveling in canoe without life jackets. What if the canoe capsized? That the two rivers are quarreling and never mixed is a big lie. Obvioudly, none of you heard about the Blue Nike and White Nike before.

    The two rivers are both male but differently, not that they're male and female, there river formed by a woman ok.

      My tour guide said it differently. You can check online too....I explained as I was told 😊

      The story is nonsense. Nobody turn to any river.
