The second track highlights how quick and precise these are. They do sound a bit forward up top but that could be the on axis issue with the recording device.
Okay, how power hungry are those MoFi Source Point speakers that they felt the need to stick them on a 250W per channel stereo streamer AIO system? The RS520 is a bit of a monster, so just how much power do those speakers need? Edit: so the MoFi Sourcepoint 10 are actually quite sensitive (91dB/2.83V/1m) and the RS520 technically exceeds their power handling capacity. I'm guessing they opted for the prettier looking model or HiFi Rose just sent over more of the RS520 for the show instead of the RS201E (100W per channel), which could also power those speakers to painful output levels.
@@AudiophileJunkie Agreed. You seem to get the best out of them and I enjoy it. I think it also comes down to finding joy in this hobby. I see you marvel over cool stuff people build. Not to knock Jay, but he just constantly rags on about how his stuff is the most expensive and his advice is the voice of God. I don't see the love. A little narcissistic and misses the point.
@@colingr318probably it was poorly recorded. Most of Jay audiolab’s Vids don’t sound good. And he is a serious advocate for the super hi end so stuff like this probably don’t appeal much to him.
Heard these at the show today. I was looking forward to it having seen and read all they hype online. For me, it was a let down compared to other speakers I heard today around that pricepoint.
Great sounding system and a beautiful song to add to my collection!
Enjoying the show videos, appreciate all the work.
Good stuff. 2 months in I still love my SP10. Using a 9090DB circa 1977 and it sounds great…but I am learning the limitations of the 9090db
Nice! Very open sounding system.

Enjoyed Jason. Thanks.
Sounds great
Great Song
Rose is great!
Id want to listen to test tracks of music that I know well rather than something picked for me .
Keep the Wolfes Away...real deal. Rotate that track on all systems.
Is these SP 8 or 10?
Interesting comment about the location of the bass driver.
Sounds great! What song and artist ?
Keep the Wolves Away by Uncle Lucius.
Wow, so transparent sounding, not bright at all even with electronic music. What's the title of the 2nd song?

They used a BAT tube amp on them and I have videos from Andrew Jones studio as well where he used a variety of amps.
Interesting. This sounds pretty good. Jay's Audio Lab made them sound terrible by hooking them up to $150k worth of electronics.
People need to record them right too

I am puzzled. How does 150k worth of electronics mess up the sound. Please explain more.

In the market, what did you listen to that was better around that price? Thanks
Was definitely the opposite experience for me, I loved the SP10s.
What was better?
A little bright, isn´t it?
Bingo.
Not really
Did not sound bright to me in room and I tend to be sensitive to it.
