My 96 grand Cherokee has a 5.2 L V8 now I’ve had a problem with that air idle speed sensor are replaced it. It lasted about a year and now it’s doing the same thing. It will all of a sudden without any warning as I take when I take my foot off the accelerator slowing down to stop the engine stall, then I have to keep my foot on the break start when I put it in gear I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep the engine running, which is dangerous so would engine idle sensor have anything to do with that but any suggestions would be helpful thank you
You might need to remove and clean the part of the intake that the IAC fits into. It's very easy, just a couple of bolts I think. Make sure to clean the mating surfaces for the IAC so it seals well. It could also be a throttle position sensor issue. I've had to replace both of these sensors twice over the years. They don't seem to make quality parts anymore.

Здравствуй, Россия! Спасибо за лайк.
Hey man, having an issue with my 95 5.2, it runs nice and I have no codes but when I turn or let the RPMs get low, it just shuts down, starts right back up though. Any ideas? Changed out plugs and the PCV might be thinking it’s a Crank sensor but it could also be this or the TPS, not 100% sure
My first thought is that it could be a small vacuum leak. You could get a "paint can smoke tester" on eBay for about $25 and use it to find vacuum leaks. There are many places where there could potentially be a leak. Also check the simple stuff like making sure the air filter isn't clogged and the fuel is fresh.
@@EndlessMoneyPits Yeah for sure, I’m thinking it’s probably a vacuum leak especially since it really only shuts off when there’s extra load and after it comes down from revving up
Yeah, I've had the same thing happen on other cars and I think it was always a vacuum leak. Let us know if you find the problem. Good luck!
your pcv hose is broken
I see what you're talking about. I'm pretty sure that hose is still intact, so it might be a shadow. I'll check on it later today, but I replaced it 2 years ago and I look under the hood on this thing all the time, so I would be surprised if it really is torn. Thanks for the heads up!
Good news! It's just a shiny spot from the spark plug wire rubbing on it.
