- Previously, we've had some of our SMASH PROS identify the character based on a single sound they make. This time, we decided to ramp up the difficulty by having our PROS guess the sounds of multiple characters at a time, in a single clip. How will they perform?

Literally there's only one snap that cn easily b confused for Mewtwo... he could easily be distinguished if there's like more sword noises or flares.

@@boshman11 I think the "oow..." voice line is Makoto not Haru, but I could be wrong. The "Alright!" is definitely Ryuji tho
@@bobert221 but Makoto isn't on stage, right? Do characters that are not in the background give commentary, too? Since i only see Haru and Ryuji on stage
@@boshman11 oh. Nevermind it is Haru. I could have sworn it sounded way more like Makoto but yeah only the characters currently in the background react to the fight so that can't be Makoto nevermind lmao
I ended up getting 70 right out of 75, but I thought I was so smart guessing Isabelle on the third round because of the whistle sound. Turns out Olimar and Isabelle just happen to make that same noise with different moves
I did the same thing, this quiz was so hard

Isabelle's whistling sound is more "ringing" while Olimar's is more done steadily in two steps.

This really shows how strong the sound design of Smash Bros is. I've got most of my guesses correct.
I mean you're not wrong but having recognizable sounds doesn't really show that it has good sound design imo
@@eriklarsen6790 That’s fair. A game could have a grating sound that is recognizable, but it sounds awful. Well, besides being recognizable, I would say the sounds represent the characters pretty well in my opinion. The sounds like attacks landing are pretty satisfying. Also, clear, distinct sounds in fighting games is very important since you can react to audio faster than visuals.

honestly one of the most fun quizzes I've seen on the channel yet, def do one of these again another day, had to think real hard to get 66 points.
Really liked this concept. Probably because it's sound effects made during a (multiple player free for all) match. As opposed to the random clips of characters that you rarely ever hear or remember. Great idea!
Marss was by far the most impressive to me considering he was doing it without re-listening to it. I felt so bad thinking how easily ended could crush it if he did the same as the others.

I will just be happy with getting that the one around the middle took place on mementos and identifying what WASN'T a fighter. This was hard as BALLS

i think a really mean one would be going onto guar plain with shulk in the corner not making any noise, cause when metal face shows up he'll actually have unique dialogue calling shulk "monado boy" if he's present in the match, meaning anyone who knows that piece of trivia will actually get that point

I knew playing this with a friend for months would pay off. 62 points, just barely beating esam on this one (the one in the joker stage was so dirty, I hear morgana meow and put joker as an answer)

Yeah Steve didn't make any sounds, all he did was jump, create blocks (both are silent) and the screw attack item which is just an item sound effect

Lol, I'm a ZSS main and I guessed ZSS on the one she was in simply because I thought I heard a character falling out of her Boost Kick. Didn't see it happen when they actually showed the clip, but it's funny that ZSS's moves fail to connect so often that I make a guess based on characters falling out.
This hurts my head as I try to play along... fun to watch the Panda team tho.
This was a fun one. That last one was super mean, like how the hell are you able to guess Mii or Pirahana plant when they make no sounds. I was able to guess Dark Samus based on the charge sound though.

What would happen if a member said they heard every character in one of the “?” rounds? Surely if you guess 1 over it’s forgiven but probably not 80 over. Where would the line lie?
If I were doing one of those rounds, I'd just make sure I listed 8 even if I thought there were less.

I'm shocked I actually managed to hear Plant's Ptooey _and_ see past your clever tricks of putting Chrom/Lucina and Villager/Isabelle in clips together. Some of the other stuff is really mean though. If you don't hear Sephiroth's one finger snap or ZSS's one flip kick then they're just not even there lmao. All in all, I think my total score was a solid Nintendo 64

While I can't recognize a lot of the characters in the video by sounds alone, I was able to recognize the main menu music for Sonic Heroes at around 14:00. Bonus points?

ESAM really did just guess the whole cast, should have added a rule where wrong guesses and over guesses on the last two take away points.
I suggest using a pen and paper for a few of these quizzes.
