Learning puppy/kitty cpr is super important. You may only do it once in your life but seeing the nastyazz coughed up food is so relieving

Once when my dog was still a puppy my mom dropped a piece of meat that was absolutely boiling on the floor by mistake. My dog was still in that puppy stage were he would grab food as soon as possible because he was afraid another dog would take it. He ended up burning his mouth, Throat and belly. And it cost me around 2k for that vet bill. That dog also got hit by a car and walked away like nothing happened, so he's a tough puppy.

Jesus and here I thought my mom's dog was indestructible. She's a small dog. She fell from the second floor to the first and walked away unharmed. Just a little confused.
Has eaten chocolate on several occasions and has been fine. Like she ate those little chocolate balls wrapped in tinfoil you get during Christmas with tinfoil and all. Completely fine. Only had to take her to the hospital once cause she ate a huge hunk of my sister's chocolate fudge and got sick.

This is why teaching your dog discipline is important. My dog has learned not to eat anything unless it's in his food bowl.

I can feel ya in that situation. When visiting my nana years ago, my Yorkshire terror; Gizmo, found a piece of gristle someone had discarded outside and our little vacuum tried to help himself to it on our walk. Thing was too large for him to eat but small enough for him to get it stuck. We didn’t see at first (it was the middle of the night) but after we noticed him having difficulties breathing we ended up turning him over and having to pry it out of his mouth. And the little bugger wouldn’t let it go he legit clawed and tried pushing my hand away to keep me from taking it from him. It was terrifying but in the end we got it free and he was okay.

Hymilich manuever is safe for and was orginally created for dogs. Cpr can also be performed on dogs. Just look up a video for smaller dogs to make sure you place your hand in the right spot. Just a heads up in case anyone ever needs!

As a dog and cat owner, I agree that the absolute panic you get when either one is choking is unmatched terror.
My Tori got ahold of a particularly large but if cat food that was wet food rolled in try pieces that she tried to swallow whole and too fast and immediately started choking. Mom and I went from playful scolding of her pushing the cats out of the way to grab it to us literally in a panic while holding her upside down as she struggled to breath and my fingers sweeping her mouth and throat as best I can despite her trying to also bite me. It was the longest two minutes and I was practically about to call up the vet for an emergency Sunday night visit before it finally fell out of her throat.
Another dog we had, an outdoor type dog, managed to get an entire unit of horse dung that had been rolled by a dung beetle as a perfect ball, lodged in her throat, and I had to dig out a massive wad of poop from her throat with my bare hands to save my dog. She then promptly tried to swallow a toad carcass she found nearby while I was processing this. Had to pry her mouth open for that. She wasn't starving, she always had plenty of food, she just had a very high drive to chew on things and had the jaws to do so.
Dogs are precious, but dang, they do not have the survival skills of thier ancestors.

cover your pet's nose with your mouth and breathe into it until you see the pet's chest rise, then give a second rescue breath. continue giving CPR with a cycle of 30 chest compressions (compress on the left side of your dog/cats chest between ribs and armpit- that way you’re helping the heart keep circulation) and 2 rescue breaths until your dog or cat begins breathing again on its own. check for breathing and a heartbeat every 2 minutes.
don’t blindly stick your finger into their mouth to remove any stuck objects, only sweep out an object if it’s visible. if it is not visible and they are not well after 10 minutes go to an emergency vet.

One time my dog ate part of a rug, she would throw up and we’d take her to the vet, but the idiot veterinarian kept telling us that it will pass through her, it was in her stomach for 6 months, we had to take her to an emergency vet about an hour away from home because she started coughing up blood, she spent 2 days there, when she came home she was sent home with a ziplock bag full of rub fibers, there must’ve been at least a pound of rug in that bag. That was about 5-6 years ago, and she is still thriving today, she actually just celebrated her 13th birthday.
Watching more of your videos, but I still remember the pure rage I felt when everybody registered (and most still do) the yes thing as Scott saying that Mangle's gender was yes and not yes being the response to whether they were a boy or girl despite it being a very common joke with the multi-gender community. The second a game actually had representation for our community, everyone didn’t like the concept of a character with multiple genders and still tried to put the character in the box of being a singular gender. I also find it annyong how the fandom keeps insisting the lore change to be the Puppet's gender despite there being evidence of it being other things, because they also don't want to accept of the possibility of them being trans-masc despite the things that refer to them as a girl taking place before FNaF 2 and FNaF 2 minigames referring to characters present-tense but seeing the past. The fandom was and still is a mess with this, the second the games give them something they try to go against it.

PLEASE don't leave hot food out where pets might reach it. A girl I know almost lost a dog this way. Some really dumb people were grilling in the park and threw a scalding piece of sausage at the dog, which he of course scarfed down. It burned his throat and stomach so badly that his owner had to rush him to the vet and for many days she wasn't sure if he'd make it. Fortunately, he did make it.

my god i had one of these exact moment's with my dog who was a giant pitbull chow mix and what had occurred was that my mother who was making steak had accidentally dropped a chunk of steak and didn't notice that our dog Tank had eaten it, he proceeded to walk away only to stop in the kitchen doorway and collapse on the ground on his side spasming, for a moment we were confused and thought it was a seizure until i noticed he was trying to spit something up and yelled out 'hes choking!' and my father grabbed Tank's leg's and lifted them up since he couldn't lift him up in the air and similarly to you began squeezing his stomach but it wasn't working.. in a moment of panic, i did the only thing i could think of and shoved my hand into his mouth and reached into his throat and that was when i felt that at the entrance of his throat was the piece of steak stuck, i struggled trying desperately to grab it but only manage to get a piece as he bites down on my arm out of fear and confusion, i try again and just as he nearly bites down again i manage to pull the piece out and he finally takes in a breath and coughs up some more smaller pieces of steak.. before just getting up and waddling off as though he hadn't just nearly lost his life.
