@@kwgtfg There is Thin Nen from the Power Instinct (Gōketsuji Ichizoku) fighting game he is also an evil corrupt Shaolin monk a bit on the comical side.
He's an amazing fighting game character. His originality, form stances and attack animations are a splendor to the eyes.
Lei Fei is a monster! You really have to know at least some of what he's about to throw at you whenever he goes into his stances, so he's definitely a character you have to spend some time in the lab to fight against. But goddamn are his movements so classy and graceful, you can really feel the power behind every single one of his moves. Such a cool evil character.
Lei fei is not a monster, he is very likely the weakest char after Eileen, he doesn't have elbow, his stance transitions are super risky..
Some of match ups are horrible, primary jacky who completely destroys him..
He can be good at high level, but you gotta work REALLY HARD
Your Series has really opened my eyes to how goddamn technical VF xters are for a 3D Fighter.
To me just picking up the game from Start feels as daunting as taking an exam. 😌
Very easy to learn just hard to master. Don't sweat the high level stuff and just jump in and play around for now

Pick one of the characters that are made to actually be played by beginners then
Go and play Lion or Brad or something and then work your way up. Honestly you can pretty much stop at Brad

The reason why Lei Fei was after Lau Chan and his fighting style was because his clan was tasked with making sure no one was more powerful than the Emperor. Even long after the monarchy fell and there was no Emperor to serve Lei Fei still follows in the footsteps of his ancestors. Talk about keeping up with tradition.

Who made this character, the Baki writer?
Well, Lei Fei is a part of a organization that snuffs out martial arts they consider deadly (main reason why he targets Lau, as his self taught martial art the Tiger/Swallow Fist is considered very dangerous). They themselves have 4000 years of categorizing and suppressing martial arts. Lei Fei ordered to eliminate Lau. But instead, he becomes his pupil to learn his martial art for himself and kill Lau.
He's got your back, but its best to watch your front. Its the Lei Feis who front; they be pulling stunts

I have anxiety every time i fight a good Lei-Fei lol.
We all do. But keep in mind. Lei is really weak to evade. And l Iike what TBS said, he has few half circulars going to his front.

I remember really wanting to get into VF during VF4 and so I picked Lei as the first character to spend a lot of time with. Then I realized I needed to learn over a half-dozen stances and thought, "Let's go back to pick someone else from the roster, actually."
These guides are amazing I wish they were even more in depth though!! So many things I wish this channel can spood feed me LOL. As a side note, Lei looks sooo tired and exhausted with his new 'face' in VF5:US . I liked most of the old faces more. Oh well

I knew there was a reason why I hated his 6 P. I didnt know if you transitioned to stance it goes from -6 to +4 on block. Then there is the very delayable follow up P which also a half circular...in the opposite direction... Your main is broken VF Numbers! Lol
Yup his 6p to kyo stance is a frame trap and even more deadlier in side turn situations.
Like you described his 2nd p off of 6pp wall staggers on counter hit opening up wall splat opportunities.
Lei is frustrating yes but I say not broken, I guess that's what makes tier list irrelevant. Player skill is an option, though I want to what tier list TBS is using because Lei for the longest has been seen as a C tier character.

Lei Fei has ruined my day so many times but respect to the strong Lei Fei players. Though what tier list are you going off of, last I check he was a C tier.
Tiers aren't really a thing in vf. It's extremely well balanced (Akira is slightly OP is about it)
@@destroyermaker yea I know but the most recent list I found is Homestay Akira where he had Lei at C. I like to know em because they usually put explanations explaining the changes and strength for all characters.

@@destroyermaker it wasn't particularly about Lei but he mention other characters who change spots. That is why I want to see is there was a new to to see the change of opinion.

It's a direct reference to a Lei-Fei quote, where he attributes his talent to "4000 years of wisdom". The Shaolin practice arts older than the temple, most notably Meihuaquan (Plum Blossom Fist), which predates it by at least several centuries on record, although its origins before then have been lost to time.
@@WireManFGC Shaolin boxing is probably not much older than 200 years, and even the oldest forms of kung fu can only reliably claim 300-400 years of history.

@@ThatBlastedSalami I could see that being an issue especially with the state of doa6, and the rise of doa4 with backwards compatibility. Honestly though I don't think it could matter which one with how small the community is any coverage would do them good. These vf videos got me to play vf5us again. So thanks for them. Thinking about finally putting the work in to learn LeiFei now.
