I have a MCM backpack that was pretty expensive and I’ve had it for a awhile now but I say if your someone like me who brings a bag everywhere they go, go for the higher price one it’s better quality and will very most likely last a longer time

I've had the same LL Bean Backpack for 9 years. They are so durable and they have a waist strap to take the pressure off your shoulders. It's a little tacky because my style has changed since middle school but I still use it because I don't feel like getting a new one.
Best kind of backpack is one with reinforced laptop sleeve, simple and durable design, well fitted straps, small top pocket and large flat front pocket so it could possibly hold a tablet or a notebook. Maybe couple pen slots in there. Interior pocket opposite of laptop sleeve to hold possible accessories for laptop.
And can't be too large and bulge outward.
Well fitted design is one of the main points, and some smart way to manage long straps if there is any.
