Adrian Peterson sits down with Josina Anderson to talk about his recovery, his goals and belief in himself. Watch more videos like this at www.espnamerica.com
I had the same injury and I've read his story how he came back in 6 months and I had my surgery last week I'm not gonna lie this dude is a beast like he's my inspiration to work harder on my knee as an individual and this is coming from a pittsburgh fan
Francisco Tobar same here. I'm two weeks out and I'm like, "this man, is part machine" it's literally the most excruciating pain going through recovery. anything for me to get back on my snowboard though. every time I think "fuuuuck, this is too hard.. I'm tired of pain", I automatically think of AP
6 months in I could barely walk downstairs. 9 months in I started jogging on a slightly inclined treadmill with some pain. AP 9 monthe in was running for buck fifty against the best athletes in the world. Wtf?!
His work ethic and determination is exactly why I wasn't afraid to draft him on my fantasy team this season. Adrian Peterson is a freakish athlete with God given talent. They said he wouldn't be the same after he got injured his last year in College. Yet he continues to prove his doubters wrong every time.
Well it's an even playing field, as most guys run a cycle during the off-season. GH rather than testosterone is associated with ligament repair. AAS would help with muscle recovery after months of inactivity. Even still, most athletes, no matter what they're running don't recover as quickly from a tear that bad.
I am a super fan of Peterson. My problem is people thinkin he's the ultimate specimen. He is great at what he does. but there is no way he could step in the octagon and beat say chuck liddell or rashad evans or GSP. just isnt gonna happen
Well I mean that's one way of looking at him. But explain this, right after the surgery when the doc was giving him the info, the doc goes "You won't be able to lift your leg for another 2 weeks.." and Adrian Peterson lifts his fresh surgically repaired leg before the doc could even finish his sentence. What, were they shooting him with roids during the surgery? The man is unreal, simple as that.
AJVersatility19 it's not that you can't lift your leg, its that you shouldn't. I just had Acl surgery 2 weeks ago and I did the same thing. doc said "no, you can lift it, but I'm telling you not to lift it!
He went on to rush for 2097 yards, the second best year a RB ever had
with i think chritian ponder as his qb lmfao AP is truly something else man
tore my acl 2 wks ago, this man inspire to get back 10000% better
How did you tear it?

And he did come back 110% better than before almost breaking a record.

Man this guy is such a beast!
Thank you, Sherlock!
Physically Peterson is a beast, but what makes him the best running back in the NFL has to be his mindset and dedication. Great video

Wtf?!
He deserves it, he works extremely hard, you can tell he doesn't take the game for granted like a lot of other athletes.
And he almost had the NFL record for rushing yards in a season Peterson you came back 150 percent better
