The dance talent show returns, with dancers of any age and dance style competing to win ÂŁ50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
Hoping to discover the greatest dancer are the superstar dance captains: multi-platinum-selling singer Cheryl, Broadway and Glee star Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse. They are now joined by a brand new dance captain - pop star, dancer and choreographer, Todrick Hall.
The series is hosted by singer, rapper and former Strictly champion Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo, member of award-winning dance troupe Diversity. Love Island star and professional dancer Curtis Pritchard joins the show as the new 'receptionist', looking after all the acts backstage as they nervously await the biggest audition of their lives.
At the auditions the audience holds the power, and only they will decide if the mirror opens for the acts or not. The dancers need to impress at least 75% of the audience for the mirror to open and progress in the competition. And there is a brand new twist at the end of each episode, where one dance captain will get to pick one act and take them straight through to the live shows.
Get ready to see talent from across the world of dance, from ballet to jazz, street to ballroom, contemporary to krump, as they give the performances of their lives in the hope of opening the mirror.
Expect dramatic auditions, outstanding talent and jaw-dropping surprises. But who will become The Greatest Dancer?

The thing I love most about Vale is their ability to make a powerful performance without the constant tricks or sticking their legs by their heads! The acting, emotion and synchronicity was impeccable!!

overrated. and the public eventually saw through him. the latin ballroom couple michael and jowita,were incredible. their uniformity, passion, and the complexity of their lifts put their technicality way above any other act in the competition.they deserved to win and were also the most consistent in their high scores from audience. public showed great taste in picking them rather than going for the acrobatical street acts, or the contemporary style of harrison which has got boring as most of the acts do these two styles. oti is just way better than the other dance captains and won again this year as she took michael and jowita to a level above strictly.
@@shaunhumphreys6714 Geez....came back to rewatch these dancers and found your gigantic essay on why Michael and Jowita were better than Harrison. Never once did I say Harrison was ABOVE anyone. Nor do I think they are comparable. Michael and Jowita's win was deserving. That is undeniable. Harrison was MY personal favorite to watch. Hope that clears up why I said what I did but calling Harrison overrated was a little smarmy of you.

How are you going to narrow them all down,they are really the best dancers I've ever seen,the level is so new & out of this world ,a quick favourite of the top of my head,the red haired clown,but they are all the greatest Dancer's .

If I had to pick my group Iâd chose brothers of dance, ainslee and dark angles! But it is so hard actually to chose because they are all so amazing! Good luck to all because ur is gonna be a tough competition this year!
Lauren Fay u should check out a crew called IMD they came 2nd in worlds last year and theyâre waaaay better than dark angels. In the street community there are a lot of crews better than them lmao, donât wanna sound bad or anything. If u search imd dance legion it should come up. They have all age ranges and some of them have been in movies so if u wanna see good street dancers then go there x

i was really primarily concerned with dance point going through-the wizard of oz act, because that was the best dance performance on the greatest dancer that ive ever seen until the latin dance couples later performances. but dancepoint went downhill they did two moves that ive never after that under todrick. and the ballroom/;latin couple who won the show this year was totally deserved. they didn;t look like contender in first audition, but i wanted a ballroom/latin couple in the show. but wow they suddenly became amazing as oti had them doing insanely complicated lifts, plus their romeo and juliet american smooth style was exquisitely perfect. they ended up being the best dance act ive ever seen on a dance competition, and i included world of dance. the lead girl in wizard of oz performance from dancepoint her tumbling is off the charts-as todrick put it, it's like a cyclone picked you up while you were tumbling im only surprised todri picked them-that matthew and oti and cheryl did not latch onto them shows they have some bad taste. two bad decisions=todrick picked that guy with the bandana and back to the future technicolour jacket-he was shit. if he was not clearly lgbtq and if todri was not on the judges panel, he would not have been picked. it was diversity over talent. there were amazing acts sacrificed for him-when he did nothing technical or difficult or athletic, or acrobatic at all. and picking that red jazz group. there were way better acts than that. they did nothing amazing at all. the commercial dance act, and that older group who did street on the last audition day both were million times better than those two. so those were terrible chooses. todrick has the winners-dance point, on his squad. provided he lets them continue with the type of choreography theyve done so far, because the audience so quickly voted the mirror down, and the audience will definitely give them the highest score, because their moves are so unique, they are so uniform,. the tumbling of the lead girl is unreal, plus the theatrical stuff they did for wizard of oz. matthew picking again the rhythmic gymnast who just did a rhythmic gymnastic performance not dancing, for three quarters of the audition until she put the ball down, surely hes had time to look up rhythmic gymnastics with a ball by now and realise that that is what she did, and therefore she is not a dancer really. and even most comments ive seen on youtube about her recognised this. and the IT clown, there were actually some better groups which were ahead of him in their performances that lost out. the street acts have gone up three levels from last year, they are far better than throwbacks were. and alot of them who were not picked in callbacks were better than throwbacks.
I was actually in the audience when todrick was in stripes cheryl In orange dress ottie in silver and Matthew in the palm tree t shirt I was actually say in front of todrick and in the breaks we were talking and my niece was called little ottie because of her hair
Where there any other acts they cut out of the show. As I doubt there was only that low number of contestants.
