He's got such a singular tone. Punchy and not too overdriven. Really like it.
great way to put it, bruh
I just think his tone is perfect, it runs the thin line right before saturation and just past clean. He's able to be so dynamic with his playing because of his simplistic tone.
@@louberdasco601 Also most lines are doubled by other track, instrument so it sounds more alive
It’s why I love passive pickups because you can be more expressive in your playing
micic is love
micic is life
David Maxim Micic is one of my fave artists right now, love all of his projects (especially Destiny Potato).
He was in Destiny Potato? I keep discovering new guitarists that I've already listened to for years somehow.
Wait, what years was he in destiny potato??
@@JohnsJustSaiyan All of them. He's also in their new project, Sordid Pink. He's a founding member IIRC.
@@static_motion yo thanks bro! I actually never followed up on this 😂😂
Terrific performance! This guy is one of the most tasteful guitar players and instrumental artists out there.
every Guitarist there is just analyzing every movement David makes. hoping one day they could play guitar as well.
Major chill bumps listening to this. Love it, love it.
we love you and your music david! 😘
Sounds so good!
Man i feel really good when im listening your music :)
the jolly old man being filled with joy in the background towards the end made me so happy
I love how tight and responsive those pickups sound!
Smmmmoooooooth. Love his work!

I hate to take this off topic of his epic performance and incredible abilities but what is the black jacket like thing that he is wearing called? I’m trying to change my wardrobe for live shows and want to start going for this look. Anyone know what they are specifically called and or what company name it is?
Did you ever find out? I've been seeing them around a lot and could never figure out what they're actually called to try one myself lol
BEST Dunlop Booth performance!
I'd like to know which pickups is he using. Does anyone know????
this was just as tasty as plini, my god.
Definite Guthrie govan's ner ner influence in this piece. Erotic cakes was a sick album so I this coo too I guess lol
Is that Pewdiepie out at the front?

But...all the other pieces of the puzzle?
I bet this track has a title like "Living Room" or something similar.
Andy Robison *pasture
uhm sure if you say so
Andy Robison no I don't say so.
Hahahahaha so true
Yeah man, maybe
that girl who just stand there and record everything with her phone 👌✌
Great music great person! i hope David would be more in touch with the people, like he turned his back right away xD
but anyway its a great musician
He's my messiah
What tuning
Anyone knows what scale he's playing in? Pleaase
Sam Slotemaker I do, not by name though cause I'm illiterate when it comes to music theory lol
IM SO JEALOUS
quem som masssa
top demais
Someone can tell me what the tuning of that guitar is?
Juan Luis Grullon Frias I don't know what Frankenstein tuning he is using on that 6 lol but I play his stuff on a 7 string tuned to G#, or Ab.
Way way late but his default is all 5ths with a 9th on top; Ab Eb Ab Eb Ab Bb
I don't think I could perform with people standing that close staring at me! It's like being pee-shy but with guitar
Very refreshing in that he is not trying to play all over the shop!
what is the tuning?
I believe it's Ab Eb Ab Eb Ab Bb
????
What's this song?
Eli C Thanks!
Not being a jerk or anything, but can someone please tell me what is so special about this guy? I genuinely want to know why people revere him.
Have you heard his albums Eco and Ego? Or maybe his BILO album series?
It's quite intriguing when you take everything into account.
Cats, Coffee & Guitars what makes him unique as a guitar player though?
mr5jr to me, david is an extremely technical musician but a fairly simple guitarists, so i can sort of see where you're coming from. i think what's so special about him is that he's part of a new generation of prog guitarists who shred their minds off.but he doesn't shred all of the time. i think his lead playing is just so tasteful, and the way he plays with the backing track is really amazing to me. his playing reminds me of david gilmour in a way, as his most powerful melodies are slow carefully timed leads. that's just my two cents though
i just wanted to add - you could say he's copying plini, but i think he takes that same style and takes it to another level. his music isn't so much as heavy but really progressive and ambient.
Super nice composition all parts put together extremely well and tone all over the place… That's what makes him special
this is amazing but whats up with the coked out dude with tunnels jaw jackin the whole time hahaha
... but I'm sorry for beheaded guitars
David kinda looks like Ashe O'Hara
hehe snarky puppy don't need no backing tracks
Probably because they're not a solo artist whom has written a band's worth of music and is performing it solo live at a trade show.
Dan yes... that's correct lol
yeah but they need 73 people on stage ...
Bit of a cheesy main.
Cheesy is the new heavy \m/
Blumen! Maybe on the stomach, haha
Gabriel Martins its called a hook... personally I think its a super important element of this kind of instrumental music, as it helps to establish a proper song structure without the need for vocals
ABBA believed every song should have at least 5 hooks in it. Imagine instrumental progressive music with that theory applied :P
+sam alberti Hooks don't have to be cheesy though.
What is with this guy and dudes like Plini wearing what looks like wizard's sweatsuits. They all look a bit like they just woke up and kind of don't give a fuck. Is this genre "Sleepy-core"?
Execute order 66
Skyharbor understands
great playing, but I don't think a guitar can look more ugly
