Resonance teams is such a cool way of expanding upon the mechanic that straight up as been neglected since the start. There’s also so much potential in Gloom for sinking and Rupture gluttony resonance IDs or just the resonance itself. Great video, Larry.
Yeah, like I can imagine a sinking id that if you trigger gloom resonance, it lowers everyone's sp and gives everyone sinking count. ( It's Foxcliff support)
I know gloom is "the" Sinking sin affinity thanks to Rhime Shank, but I feel like for Sinking, it's the one status effect that actually has two sin affinities tied to it. Gloom and Sloth. Of all the sinking IDs in the game, Sloth is a noteworthy part of all but ones kit. The Deici trio all have powerful S3s, with 2/3 of them going Sinking count positive, and due to being discard IDs, they all can cycle back to their S3 far faster than any other ID. Spicebush Yi Sang has a really powerful S2 with excellent Sinking setup(next turn, so you can stack it with other "apply count next turn" skills to build a massive nuke), which can also become AOE if the conditions are met. Molar Ishmael has an insanely strong S2, allowing her to apply 6 sinking with 2 count also apply 4 defense level down next turn(about 12% more damage, so a fragile). And G corp Outis has a sloth S1 allowing for reliable resonance, with her passive giving 2 haste to herself and adjacent allies next turn on sloth regular resonance allowing you to more easily control clashes, as well as importantly ensure some amount of absolute resonance always occurs by having her speed up 2-3 units who can consistantly make sloth-res happen. Then there's also Mariachi Sinclair with a sloth S1, and Hobocliff with a sloth S3, but the former is... yeah... and the latter isn't what I think most would consider a "sinking unit", even if he does technically give it to the enemy. Rcorp Ishmael is genuinely the only ID with any kind of Sinking in her kit that doesn't either have a sloth S1, S3, or use sloth as a noteworthy part of their kit. Honestly, with how many sinking IDs has both sloth and gloom, with either sloth being the big damage nuke and gloom being a utility/S1 option, or Sloth being the utility/S1 option and gloom being the big nuke, I feel like any "sinking resonance" team could be either sloth or gloom resonance, maybe even both.
I like resonance. It feels like I'm playing a Match 3 game and it makes me happy as a result. Also, in reference to Max0r, "We play Captain Ishmael, not because she is broken, but because she won't stop talking."
Captain Ishmael having burn is literally just there to make her a wide-range Resonance character effective in all forms of set-up for current Mirror Dungeon. She can do Envy Resonance with Middle/Pequod, reinforced with her Bleed effects. She can do Pride Resonance with Any Poise Identity, reinforced with her Poise gain effects. She can do Wrath Resonance with the Burn IDs, reinforced with Burn... *just in case* you've only got Magic Bullet with no Liu Ish. I think once we start getting more Count-stable IDs, you really could line up Captain Ish for any one of those three team concepts and she'd have fun. Hell, I think the burn synergizes fine with Magic Bullet, tbqh. (Burn IDs are a very subtle Wrath Resonance idea, imo - they all run Wrath in some form, which makes them solid for Wrath lineups. It's why I was surprised you only mentioned Lust, but I guess it makes sense with the primordial Whistles resonance.)
@@marfit77 probably all the Liu IDs with a priority on Gregor for count and Meursault for potency and Capote (but they are pretty terrible), DerOutis and Nclair. But tbh, if you don't have that much choice, I would absolutely not recommend Burn in its current state. You'd be better served with a tremor team at this point.
I definitely got the feel captain ish is THE resonance gamer and will probably continue to serve as a doorway to resonance teams way in the future. Blue if you need blue, red if you need red. simple stuff
Resonance is absolutely the most fun archetype and the one that imposes the most interesting building restrictions. I don't care whether or not it's good, because after theorycrafting a full set of 12 built around Captain Ishmael for like 3 hours with my friends? It was easily the most interesting Limbus has been. It's the path they should follow for future designs IMO.
I like how these units highlight sin resonance as not just a mechanic but as a team comp you could build around when almost every team comp beforehand was built around status effects like burn/bleed/etc.
15:45 I actually found that L Corp Remnant Faust (YuriFaust) has a niche on the envy res team as although her envy skills is a skill 3, she has an envy dodge to fill in. But more than that, her 4 haste of skill 2 makes her nearly always go first the following turn. Why do you want that? Overclocked Hex Nail baybeeeee, 1 pierce fragile 3 envy fragile, 'this turn' only but when you've got 4+ haste you'll be pretty close to first most the time. Also benefits from actually getting some fucking poise count.
I've noticed that Envy Resonance is much easier to trigger with just the Pequod Trio compared to the Pride Resonance Team. Funny Sever Knot go brr Funny Relentless Stab go pling plong
Just wanted to say that i've been playing the game only recently (start of this year), and your videos are highly entertaining and the way you lay your information out is great! I always look forward to an upload, so I'm excited to catch the next one and have a good day!
Thank you for making this for my Silly Limbus brain. I couldnt wrap my head around it but the video helped me understand Resonance better, alongside getting to know the Captain Better. Also nice little detail of Captain Ish getting Vengance Mark upon killing both Middle Meursault and Middle Don in the beginning. Keep up the smaller details and the great editing!
Part of what makes Burn so incredibly reliable is that Nfaust gives them an insane boost to the sanity curve and lets them start flipping straight heads way early. Whispers and Whistles are both very reliable, tho I put her on the field for Whistles being more powerful and 9:2 being a hilarious finisher.
I'm not used to commenting on videos but when you showed W Faust on screen as an example of a bad ID to use just because it has an envy defense skill and then suggesting N faust over it, I was 100% sure you'd also recommend or mention Lobotomy Corp. Remnant Faust, but you never did. So here i am to spread the word of our envy evading, poise stacking, haste haver and S3 26 rolling savior, LobFaust. She ditches great damage with S2 and S3, benefits from poise (although marginally since her passive needs 2 lust res), has lust and gloom generation (fluid sac, bodysack and blind obssession benefit greatly from this), the haste she gets from S2 makes for an easy setup for a nuke turn with Hex Nail, and if everything goes wrong, the RNG hates you and for some reason you cant use hex nail, you can bet on evade and still trigger envy resonance. All of this while being a 00 ID, which makes her really cheap for anyone who just don't want to commit to sharding and uptying a 000 ID.
I agree with you on most things actually! I do think N Fausts envy generation is more consistent than Lob, but Lob has access to on demand resonance so I think it's a fair trade
@@blakerose1543 even that's not a very big factor though, since envy generation is pretty much completely covered by a default on an envy team. Hex nail will litteraly pay for itself if you're using it on a 6 envy turn.
Thank you for finally answering the "is anything that isn't the meta a joke" question, this is a sentiment I've had for so long and I'm glad you're using your influence to spread the good word, thank you for the video youtuber person
Ill say that N-corp units based on when units die is a huge joke. When units die only sounds viable for non-focused encounters where its the final fight of the dungeon or a story stage.
While definitely not a meme, I understand the grievances people have with Res teams. If your Res is your S1, it's usually not great and just there to enable the Res, or a defense skill that is LITERALLY there to just enable the Res, S2 is the best balance between strength and common usage, but is not usually giving a super insane Res effect, and S3's are the big powerful nukes, but rely on finding them and waiting for the skills to line up so you hit that sweet sweet 6 Absolute Resonance. It's tricky and there is no one "perfect" way for an ID to be designed, especially since IDs like Pequod Heath trade more consistent Res for Sin flexibility (I'm sure he would be a lot better generally if he had a Gloom S2). However, this is the part about them that makes them so interesting, especially since they're conceptually one of the most flexible team concepts that exists, since having ANY skill of X Sin automatically qualifies you for consideration. Overall, a very fun way to shake up play and teams, though it is a little weird that the current ones are mostly Bleed hybrid builds when they should mainly be Charge or Poise (okay yes Whistles is Lust and thus matches Bleed but a Whistles team is not really a Bleed team, it's just a "Find orange skills with good numbers" team)
Another thing that ESGOO and the comments haven't really considered is the fact that Middle Don (why on Earth did they have to lock counter behind Uptie 4), Captain Ish and Pequod Yi Sang are pretty much required to have Uptie 4 which costs a total of 250 thread and 50 egoshards each to the two former and 150 thread and 50 egoshards to the latter. That's a huge amount of resources, especially to newer players, which makes pulling IDs like Captain Ish questionable for those players in particular. Pequod Heath is perfectly fine without, though, since he's still very strong at Uptie 4 and it's mostly just the 6 Absolute Res which will likely be a bit rarer to activate, Sever Knot still goes hard as fuck
Funnily enough my issue with mid don is that I fear her counter modifier may normalize skill modification that makes units hit s3 more consistently (tho I acknowledge that there are hoops to jump through in order for that to happen). Because, as a card gamer, a game becoming more consistent and fast is much scarier powercreep compared to cards having loads of bells and whistles.
I get what you mean, but it requiring you to get hit in the first place makes you inherintly need to take extra measures to make sure you don't just die for doing it. Same thing for KK rodion. I think the fact that they've had two different IDs with this principle means they've got a pretty good idea on where to take it.
It inherently balances itself out. In any actual hard content, most of the time, getting hit at all is really, really bad. You risk getting hit with stagger and some real bad on hit effects. This, combined with the fact that you need basically a whole turn of Envy is more than enough to keep her in line, especially since it forces you to save S2's and 3's on all your other units
Clarifying, I'm not talking about counters specifically. Just in general I don't think consistent outcomes should be normalized. Talismanclair would be beyond broken if he was consistent for example.
The worst part of captain ishmael release was people on discord saying shes bad because of her sanity mechanic/her not rolling ridiculous numbers. I swear to god the mandatory reading is real.
My personal resonance team is W Faust, Middle Don, W Meursault, Pequod Heath, Captain Ishmael and Dieci Rodion (Pequod Yi sang too for 7 sinners) Support passives are W ryoshu, Mariachi Sinclair, Blade Lineage Outis, W Hong Lu(or dieci Hong Lu) and Base Gregor. This team has Pride and Envy but also has quite a bit of gloom
I fell asleep on a first minute mark, but cool video, liked it (No hidden undertext, just was literally tired and used this as an sleep source matereal)
I've been posting my favorite team everywhere for the past week, because people keep overlooking RMeursault. My cap Ishmael team has been Pequod trio, Pirate Greg, Middle Don and RMeursault. You can easily have both resonances, bleed support and fuel for Ishmael's Blind Obsession all on the same team. Just have Ishmael as your lead and you can (depending what skills she rolls) just alternate which resonance you're using per turn.
It's crazy to hear you say exactly my thoughts on the envy team section. I've been mostly playing my Envy team since Middle Don released and as someone who doesn't like status effects in most games, it's been an absolute blast. I just wish I could be wasteful with my resources so I could get Cap'n Ishmael, but I'm waiting on the last IDs for Season 3 to drop so I can have better chances of getting value from my 000 tickets and then dispensing whatever I didn't get. I was actually looking for a Pride+Envy A-Res team and I basically came to the conclusion of the Envy team you recommend, but changing Middle Meursault for Rhino Meursault (supports bleed and gives gloom) or W Ryoshu (benefits massively from both modes and has EGO for both affinities). In my oppinion A-Res is in no ways the optimal way to play the game, but it is way more fun and rewarding than other archetypes, and I also love how the core IDs (Middle Don and Ishwhale) have super busted mechanics but still feel balanced due to the teambuilding restrictions. Overall, loved the video, really summed up my thoughts and feelings of the last few months playing almost exclusively with my Envy team (Except RR3, waiting on that until I get my hands on Ishmael)
Looking back on this video, kinda wild how much things hand changed with resonance teams. There's a more Pride resonance synergy now thanks to the new Blade Lineage IDs, Evny teams got even more support in with the new Season 4 Envy/Charge focused EGOs and even Gloom is starting to get resonance synergies with the new EGOs and the new sinking IDs. Cool to see PM continuing this trend with resonance teams. As for the Envy team, I actually made one and it turned out to be almost exactly as your example Envy team with one change being Lobotomy Corp Faust instead of N Faust. The main reason is that I don't have N Faust, but the extra gloom generation on her skill 2 and the fact that the next turn haste onher skill 2 can pretty much guarantee she goes first for Hex Nail Evny nukes is real nice. The the downsides is lower damage output since she doesn't hit as hard, and no gaze debuff. Used this envy team for certain parts of my first RR3 run and the entirety of Canto 6 and it was a really fun time.
Thanks a lot for the video! Turns out I have almost the entire suggested Envy Team - Middle Don's the only one I'm missing, so I guess she's another candidate for my egoshard crates now. EDIT: And the E.G.O.s - almost forgot about them. Still need to get Red Eyes Open and Hex Nail too.
If we get more IDs that focus on Resonance then team building is gonna be a priority. I am glad they are now taking that approach. Also, I want a Gloom resonance units in the future so I can spam Fluid Sac. Also, imagine if they little bonuses if achieved resonance such as Wrath does more burn damage; Lust with Bleed bonus; Gluttony for Rupture; and so on
As someone who ran """resonance""" teams from day one because making a long line of skills of the same colour just felt nice to my little bird brain, I greatly appreciate being catered to.
This video has made me realize that I need to experiment with proper teams rather than just using my favorites since season 1. That team still WORKS mind you (R Heath, W Don, 7 Outis, Spice Yi Sang, Boatworks Ish and whoever I think I'll need in the sixth slot) but only for general story stuff. It's getting to be where I'll need to actually start thinking about who I bring. I can actually make a psuedo Sinking team with most of this lot, but I can never keep the sinking consistent enough to do anything. Hell, I do better with mostly Charge IDs, but again I'm pretty sure that will only take me so far...
I remember every passive used to be resonance and for how little impact some of them had, there simply weren't enough IDs to make realistic resonance triggers happen consistently so they reworked some of the resonance passives and added the "owned" passive. (this was a thing before Limbus's release back in the youtube preview era) While this change was good overall, now that the initial issue of resonance being too hard has been mitigated by UT4's colored defense and simply having more IDs/EGOs to work with, I kind of hope we get changes to some of the older IDs to utilize resonance for their passives for a stronger effect. Just like with the original resonance/owned passive changes and UT4, I think PM is fine making a "blanket" change to units if they think it'd open up more avenues for design space. I feel there are a lot of IDs that could get just that little bit of a push into "fun" tier from completely useless tier by imposing a teambuild restriction on them rather than another set of upties that need far more effort to implement.
Note for the Pride team You can use Middle Brothers support passive to help if you have sanity problems on Ahabmael. Ive been using him and base hong lus support passives because I dont have hook hong lu. Its been going great.
Made an envy bleed team with captain ish (only unit without envy was kurokuma ryoshu since there’s good count there), and it’s nice to finally play an archetype outside of charge with a fairly strong team
there is nothing in this game that gets my neurons firing harder than the triple axis resonance team I have cooked up. The Middle IDs and Harpooner Heath all having Wrath in their kits got me to cook real hard and it's worked out great for me!
For my Ishab team, I've gotten some really good results out of bringing Kromerfaust. Decent bleed application, and count from Nails. Envy and Pride. Assist attack into execution fulfilling the nails requirement for the 70% damage bonus on coin 3. Just all around decent ID for support and whatnot, and I like it. EDIT: Oh you mentioned her (oh no I did the thing where I commented before finishing the video noooooooooo) (Also pairs decently with Dieci Rodya, for the strong s1, discards making the Envy s2 available decently often, What Is Cast for the prideres when needed, etc. Or Rosedya, if you're feeling spicy (Pride S1, with nice benefits to getting free uses, Envy s3, overall fun ID) Also, this is the first ID that's managed to get me to stop using Rish for extended periods of time, so. Nicely done, PM.
The Team Ive been using is the Peaquod Trio, N Faust, and the Middle, as while youre sacrificing consistent 6+ Absolute Resonance for Pride OR Envy, you get consistent 4+ Absolute Resonance on Both, and can then alternate between Envy and Pride since Faust and Mersault have their Pride EGO, and Don her Skill 3. The only weakness is when you want to use Ishmael or Yi Sangs S3 and theyre stuck in the middle of the chain all disruptively, but besides that i think its the official Fishmael Experience. On the Sidelines I have Cinqclair and Hook Hong Lu for substituing. Yes, I could switch out Yi Sang but then I miss out on the 5 coin ping.
In my opinion, she's more or less an upgraded N-Faust, who can heal SP on kill, buff self with burn and poise, while also giving allies poise and pride power up. I use her a lot using a pride resonance team of 5 (Pequod Crews; Yisang, Heathcliff, and Ishmael herself. Cinq Sinclair, and Magic Bullet Outis.)
It's EXP Luxcavations, but since it's as close as we're going to get to a story battle for comparison; I find it pretty easy for a full Pequod team to supply Yi Sang with Poise to turn his s2 into a complete meatgrinder. Which is good because depending on the team comp, you can roll from a Pride resonance (few free kills with Ishmael) turn into an envy resonance turn and just clear the board.
My favorite captain team is what I call the "season 3 special" Being the pequod trio, middle don, bullet outis, pirate gregor. I'll have to try subbing outis for hook lu, though. I hadn't considered him
I want to say that r Meursault can also be very good for envy teams. His bleed count application is amazing, his clashing is far above average (and above middle Meursault), and has an envy skill 1 and guard skill.
cinq + Precod is simple and works well (they also work really well with mirror dungeon buffs) (although i dont have harpheathcliff so i use lccb faust with hexnail and fluid sac)
I'm surprised by the absence of w hong lu when talking about a good captain ishmael team. One of the big points with captain ishmael is that we want her assist attack to trigger on specific individuals such as pequod heathcliff and w ryoshu. W Hong lu is amazing on this team comp because of his speed since assist attack targets the sinner on the right. He also has a s1 and guard skill that are both pride which helps a lot with getting pride abs res. There's also the charge synergy between himself and w ryoshu. His speed helps hitting with overcharge dimension shredder first for the sweet 3 fragile which won't be too hard to trigger since he's a charge unit.
I'd recommand rhino meursault in the envy team. His s1 and guard are envy, he provides gloom, and his bleed potency application is pretty good thanks to fast speed + KK ryoshu and hong lu support passives (yes, the +2 potency is added to every +1 bleed count). As far as cons go, his s1 isn't great for assist attacks, and the general lack of sloth generation means regret is the only ego you'll reliably fuel.
Hi esgoo. Im new to this game i saw your video, its just amazing. Im kinda bit confuse about the team building. Can i message you for the detail guide?
Building Pequod Ismael on Pride/Poise team of BL Meursault, Faust ,Yi sang and First Mate Gregor. Let me tell you the amount of Poise is just chef kiss.
I gave LCCB Rodion a try with that Capt Ishmael idea. Its prolly not the best out there but Im not gonna lie It was kinda nice seeing that ID getting some use.
Here to drop-off a "budget" resonance/bleed team for Cap Ish: Pequod Yi Sang, Middle Meursault, Hook Hong Lu, Nail Heath, Pirate Gregor (could be replaced with Sous-chef Gregor if you are brave enough; or Zwei Gregor if you are scared enough) Shoutout to Esgoo for shouting-out Zwei Faust and Cinq Outis This team doesn't really care if you have specifically Pride resonance, but tries to do as many as possible while trying to do an archetypical team, because any resonance works for Ish, as long as there is a lot of it. Another thing to note, the team above fuels both Blind Obsession AND Sunshower (that one is harder due to Glut, hence Sous-chef/Zwei Greg if you need), so go at it boyos and gals and other pals =з
Personally I am running: Cpt Ishamel, Heath and Yi Sang, Middle Don and Middle Mearsault and lastly Chef Ryoshu. I am mostly going for those sweet envy strikes with Don but the team has enough pride to pop the assist mechanic as well. Very fun team and healing HP or sanity is not a problem.
it still amuses me that the entire downside of Captain Ishmael is basically negated by running benched LCB Yi Sang to give lowest SP person +10 SP if they lost any so you're either doing fine on sanity, or you're killing more than three things a turn, both of which are rather nice
Correct if I'm wrong, but assist attack should apply to the same enemy unit Ishmael is targeting, hence you wont get a free assist attack if Ishmael kills first. The other downside is perhaps the lower clash rolls that 00 may bring?
The envy team with captain Ishmael is kinda just built different because (especially since Rodion has what is cast and Meursault has chains of others), they can ALSO go for the captain Ishmael’s pride plan and if you line it up to where both Heathcliff and Don get to benefit from pursue them to the end you just break everyone
I haven’t gotten pirate Ishmael yet, but I’ll probably swap her in for pirate yi sang. So I can benefit from her and zwei’s defense up, which from my experience should give pirate Heathcliff and middle mersault more up time. With nun rodya there since she’s just a very solid id. With the best way to describe my current build being one that leans into the snowballing style of how you want fights to go in game (if your the type whose frugal with their resources). For shorter encounters, it just makes everyone pretty tanky till they can slap back. But for longer encounters … once everyone is at max sanity you’ve pretty much won and just steamroll through encounters.
I've been experimenting with Blade lineage Sinclair for assist attacking for extra poise count generation on him, though that does mean booting pequod yi sang from the team to benefit from blade lineage support. Though i guess you could just go all in on poise since blade yi does have a S1 pride

Captain Ishmael my beloved
Resonance is absolutely the most fun archetype and the one that imposes the most interesting building restrictions. I don't care whether or not it's good, because after theorycrafting a full set of 12 built around Captain Ishmael for like 3 hours with my friends? It was easily the most interesting Limbus has been. It's the path they should follow for future designs IMO.
I like how these units highlight sin resonance as not just a mechanic but as a team comp you could build around when almost every team comp beforehand was built around status effects like burn/bleed/etc.
it’s pride month ishmael, you know what that means

15:45 I actually found that L Corp Remnant Faust (YuriFaust) has a niche on the envy res team as although her envy skills is a skill 3, she has an envy dodge to fill in. But more than that, her 4 haste of skill 2 makes her nearly always go first the following turn. Why do you want that? Overclocked Hex Nail baybeeeee, 1 pierce fragile 3 envy fragile, 'this turn' only but when you've got 4+ haste you'll be pretty close to first most the time. Also benefits from actually getting some fucking poise count.
Chaining a full board of the same sin affinity gives my brain that dopamine hit
I've noticed that Envy Resonance is much easier to trigger with just the Pequod Trio compared to the Pride Resonance Team.
Funny Sever Knot go brr
Funny Relentless Stab go pling plong
To Me comes to the Captain

The Envy Resonance team will always be easier to trigger Envy Resonance on than the Pride Respnance team.
I’m gonna resonate so hard on John Limbus

I do think N Fausts envy generation is more consistent than Lob,
but Lob has access to on demand resonance so I think it's a fair trade
@@blakerose1543 even that's not a very big factor though, since envy generation is pretty much completely covered by a default on an envy team. Hex nail will litteraly pay for itself if you're using it on a 6 envy turn.
@@ihave2cows this is also true
I tend genuinely forgot the main topic of conversation my apologies
I appreciate your going full Ahab for the Captain Ishmael breakdown and attempting to gaslight us on how Pequod is pronounced
ESGOO: "I don't want this to be another exhaustive overview video"
Me: 😔
Your insult to the outfits of the middle will not be forgotten!
Thank you for finally answering the "is anything that isn't the meta a joke" question, this is a sentiment I've had for so long and I'm glad you're using your influence to spread the good word, thank you for the video youtuber person
Ill say that N-corp units based on when units die is a huge joke. When units die only sounds viable for non-focused encounters where its the final fight of the dungeon or a story stage.
i love how now we have groups of 3 rather than having to focus on one whole association to start building teams, very fun
Finally, i understand how to use captain Ishmael, thank you ESGOO. You're pretty cool.
@@cl0k3 What do you think about Philclaire having a skill 3 that changes if he's in Angy Mode (Fragile Distortion Mode)
The worst part of captain ishmael release was people on discord saying shes bad because of her sanity mechanic/her not rolling ridiculous numbers. I swear to god the mandatory reading is real.
My personal resonance team is W Faust, Middle Don, W Meursault, Pequod Heath, Captain Ishmael and Dieci Rodion (Pequod Yi sang too for 7 sinners)
Support passives are W ryoshu, Mariachi Sinclair, Blade Lineage Outis, W Hong Lu(or dieci Hong Lu) and Base Gregor.
This team has Pride and Envy but also has quite a bit of gloom
I fell asleep on a first minute mark, but cool video, liked it
(No hidden undertext, just was literally tired and used this as an sleep source matereal)
I got an insane 4 absolute resonance chain of helldivers ads while watching this video.
This really makes me hope that eventually there are (non ego passive) resonance teams for every sin, and how different they may all be
Thanks a lot for the video!
ESGOOBER YOU FORGOT CAPTAIN ISHMAEL HAS A SECOND COMBAT PASSIVE AAAAAAAAA
Note for the Pride team
You can use Middle Brothers support passive to help if you have sanity problems on Ahabmael.

My favorite Resonance team is just putting all of the chapter 5 identities on a team and calling it a day
resonance is really good mechanic that should get even more bennefits for other sins, since it's one of the few mechanics that provide desicion making
This video made n faust show up out of nowhere on the gregor banner. thank you funny limbus man
Thanks for this video❤
there is nothing in this game that gets my neurons firing harder than the triple axis resonance team I have cooked up.

EDIT: Oh you mentioned her (oh no I did the thing where I commented before finishing the video noooooooooo)
(Also pairs decently with Dieci Rodya, for the strong s1, discards making the Envy s2 available decently often, What Is Cast for the prideres when needed, etc. Or Rosedya, if you're feeling spicy (Pride S1, with nice benefits to getting free uses, Envy s3, overall fun ID)
Also, this is the first ID that's managed to get me to stop using Rish for extended periods of time, so.
I love burn!

Me who just playing and have Captain Ishmael:
“Mmm what does anything mean..? Why doesn’t she shut up”
In my opinion, she's more or less an upgraded N-Faust, who can heal SP on kill, buff self with burn and poise, while also giving allies poise and pride power up. I use her a lot using a pride resonance team of 5 (Pequod Crews; Yisang, Heathcliff, and Ishmael herself. Cinq Sinclair, and Magic Bullet Outis.)
1:51 Thank you, I actually don't play this game and somehow ended up here
I actually like they are trying new things and finally enforcing team building more. I atill don’t know what they were thinking with some ids though
as a envy-pride runner,,, ISHMAEL MY CAPTAIN
Resonance is peak!!
Its kinda wild that Ahab has no simps somehow, you'd think theres a milf hunter out there somewhere
But then Ishmael just rocks the outfit
It's EXP Luxcavations, but since it's as close as we're going to get to a story battle for comparison; I find it pretty easy for a full Pequod team to supply Yi Sang with Poise to turn his s2 into a complete meatgrinder. Which is good because depending on the team comp, you can roll from a Pride resonance (few free kills with Ishmael) turn into an envy resonance turn and just clear the board.
My favorite captain team is what I call the "season 3 special"
Being the pequod trio, middle don, bullet outis, pirate gregor. I'll have to try subbing outis for hook lu, though. I hadn't considered him
I want to say that r Meursault can also be very good for envy teams. His bleed count application is amazing, his clashing is far above average (and above middle Meursault), and has an envy skill 1 and guard skill.
cinq + Precod is simple and works well
(they also work really well with mirror dungeon buffs)
(although i dont have harpheathcliff so i use lccb faust with hexnail and fluid sac)
My envy team is just nukes and resets.
L Faust
R Heathcliff
W corp duo
Middle Meursault
I hecking love funny numbers
Im still trying to get my boy pirate gregor but im glad you found yours (first mate yi sang)
Esgoo curse strikes once again. Now BL is the only real pride comp for Cap Ish lmao
I recomend midle don
Self explanatory
Does assist attack use bullets on RHeathcliff? Thanks for the video by the way!
W Faust is goated trust me (just need to be in MD and have a charge team)
Here to drop-off a "budget" resonance/bleed team for Cap Ish: Pequod Yi Sang, Middle Meursault, Hook Hong Lu, Nail Heath, Pirate Gregor (could be replaced with Sous-chef Gregor if you are brave enough; or Zwei Gregor if you are scared enough)
Shoutout to Esgoo for shouting-out Zwei Faust and Cinq Outis
This team doesn't really care if you have specifically Pride resonance, but tries to do as many as possible while trying to do an archetypical team, because any resonance works for Ish, as long as there is a lot of it. Another thing to note, the team above fuels both Blind Obsession AND Sunshower (that one is harder due to Glut, hence Sous-chef/Zwei Greg if you need), so go at it boyos and gals and other pals =з
It is a vicious SIN-RESONATING rpg after all.
I'm literally running a mixed Pride/Envy team as I listen to this video, but I love seeing the payoff to resonance.
EVERYONE, LET'S COLLECT TOGETHER TO SIMP ON THE NEW FEMALE VILLIAN OF CANTO V
it still amuses me that the entire downside of Captain Ishmael is basically negated by running benched LCB Yi Sang to give lowest SP person +10 SP if they lost any
so you're either doing fine on sanity, or you're killing more than three things a turn, both of which are rather nice
Out of curiosity, what do you use to edit?
I've been experimenting with Blade lineage Sinclair for assist attacking for extra poise count generation on him, though that does mean booting pequod yi sang from the team to benefit from blade lineage support. Though i guess you could just go all in on poise since blade yi does have a S1 pride
