Riding the New Hendo Hoverboard 2.0 | OOO with Brent Rose - Věda a technologie
On a larger scale, I can see this technology being used in bumper cars at amusement parks.
I get it metal streets will get electrocuted by lightning bolt
@@leslies.conley4033 That’s be funny
why though when bumber cars are already perfectly fine?
@@ellusiv5121 it would be cool idk…
cool cant wait to take this out on our metal streets
You killed it by explaining it.
just love it VEVO 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎😶👎👎😶👎👎👎😶👎👎👎👎👎👎
Double sarcasm just means you're stating a fact. Facts aren't funny.
Little Gator Farm
Right!
Be right back I need to find a metal street 😂😂😂😂
He insults the hell out of the hover board. But throws it in the bush, so it won't get damaged lol
Yeah
Dude that's not a hoverboard, It's a Fake ass bullshit fire busting wheel having wheelie board.
Fucking Educate yourself!
Blake Moody A hoverboard doesn't have wheels, A hoverboard hovers like a normal fucking hoverboard, That's why it's called a "Hover" Board.
Educate yourself Dumb fuck
+Blake Moody In the scale of stupidity .
Would you like to rate your stupidity 1 to 10 ?
If you are going by technicality than you should educate yourself, the meaning of hover board is a fictional levitating board used for transportation, they don't exist unless you actually count a small room with an uncontrollable magnetically placed board "transportation".
research = 20 000 dollars
prototype = 12 000 dollars
Ingineer rents: 14 000 dollars
copper: 2 OOO OOO dollars...
yeah
It won't be too long before we do. I have an idea for a different engine, and it uses magnets, but doesn't need a special surface under it.
That's how most greats start. Look at the first computer! A cheap $50 cell phone today is much more powerful than NASA's billion dollar computers that launched us into space not too long ago.
bignatec1000 which is?
No the hoverboard is 3478 dollars
If someone came up to me and was like “you tryna see a hover board” I’d be so disappointed if they lead me to this 😂
G Smokey it a fake too
I love that they’re slowly trying to perfect this. They know it’s not perfect and that’s why it’s not for sale yet, but they’re really doing it and they’re really striving for perfection.
They won’t ever make it lol won’t ever be a thing
A perfect useless thing is still useless.
No, not these fake ass wheelie boards (throws it into a bush so he doesnt break it)
*falls out of the bush and still breaks*
I bet he still uses that classic wheel hoverboard
i would have broken it
We'll be laughing so hard in twenty years
*4 years
Ok Marty
They said the same in 1990 bro.. and look what we have... tiktok
The dyslexic won't be laughing after 2021
Uh you mean never? Unless we meet Aliens and befriend them we’re not getting a hover board like bttf we never will by the time we make it you and everybody alive right now will. Be dead
To my surprise they actually present something working. But the product to bullshit ratio is still off the charts.
True
we're going to look back on this 20 years from now like we see the Model-T today.
Any updates?
Lol I like how he throws in the bush so it don’t brake
1:05: lol, get tea bagged
Brent's the fucking best
That dude is cool
+max silbert Of course his name is Brent
+max silbert Dat lol just stupid clown
Copper thieves are converging on Los Gatos as I write this.
0:52 you know its real when you hear that noise
I want to see hover cars with this tech running on aluminum/copper Formel 1 tracks! Would look and sound awesome :O
IMAGINE THE AWESOME SPEED RACER STYLE DRIFTING AND CONTROLLED SPINNING!!!
F-Zero is coming :D
Will never be used for a lot of transport copper is too damn expensive.
stinkiekiller declerck Alluminium could be used instead, but to coat an entire road with it would still be ridiculously expensive. And the extra energy needed to float a car, would be much more expensive than the extra power needed to move a car.
WTF YOU SAYING>? (its not hovering in air bro wtf )+(Expensive + ground =Shit)
+bojan disconnected Huh wut?
1-st its ground. 2- its not hoverboard its not in air so if that was 1$ i would not going to buy that for 100 years
It hovers with the aid of magnets, it is in the air, but just enough to reduce friction extremely efficient. There are still other external forces acting upon this, like how the weight of the human is distributed and aerodynamic capabilities, but it is hovering.
5:00 of course he mentions the hyperloop.
I remember watching this a couple years not realizing I live within a mile of this place
i love this dude he called that fake hoverboard a "fake ass bullshit no hovering fire bursting wheel having wheelie boards"
true
***** no because its true it sucks it doesn't hover
***** but then it actually feels like hovering.
***** at least it doesn't burst into flames when you charge it for too long.
***** i never said that you had a hoverboard.
Well, just replace all the concrete roads with copper, easy.\
lol
I hope people understand that this might not be superawesome yet, but it's really good improvement. If they continue to progress, then maybe we'll have a really reliant hovetboard in 10 years.
The lexus hoverboard is way more practical.
3 more years left hehe
0:19 YEET
I liked you're comment hehehehe
Thank you this guy in the beginning actually knows what a hover board is unlike everyone who thinks they know but they don't because how is it a hover board when it is on 2 wheels you are not hovering in the air
at 2:30 what is the name of that song playing? I kind of dig it.
"RC-XD in bound" haha!
It's amazing to see the size of the engines shrinking and they offer better control. This mean HB 3.0 will be awesome.
1980: in 2017 we will have flying cars.
2017: flying skateboards.
Copper skateparks where people keep stealing the copper ! LOLOLOL
the copper will be buried in 1 inch of concrete
plus you would need to either have a saw or some other heavy duty cutting tool to even cut a piece out
i don't even need to talk about the noise wacking or cutting copper will make do i?
Never underestimate a crackhead
what they need to do is just use graphene in the top layer of concrete which would also give it more strength as well as make it conductive
You can have copper skateparks in halls locked up in the night.
What is the song called? @2:47
Bruh where are they now? I haven’t seen a update on them in a min.
Reminds me of those little square boards with wheels that everyone used to get to ride back in elementary school.. Only this one sounds awesome, is crammed with technology and probably doesn't tip over causing you to crush your fingers.
It’s a start, but hopefully if we discover anti gravity to actually make it a real hoverboard!
So it's not even a hoverboard, still.
It's a magnet board.
Cool.
+Todd Martin Think about it we all know its a magnet board but its just a start , more 10 , 20 ,30 even 40 years its will be real normal hoverboard
+DJ Scared no it wont
+Todd Martin technically it's still hovering lol
+Todd Martin Well technically it hovers so it is in fact a "Hoverboard"
+Todd Martin a magnetic hoverboard....? what do you expect? some magical floating object? or do you also call hoverboards with fans in them "fan boards"?
Did anyone else do a fist pump when he threw the weelo board
I like how he threw the hoverboard into the bush so it can't break
So "magnetic field architecture" is what they're now calling things like an induction motor?
I guess so
It isn't an induction motor it uses induction to to create a secondary magnetic instead of the primary created by induction
My induction stove is now magnetic field architecture I guess
Sorry folks but I'm about to come out with a hover board that can actually go on things that aren't metal (you'll see)
Hi Zippy. Let's connect. I am, too.
*throws into bush* low-key loves that wheel hoverboard
They took the case off and stuck a deck to it. Bravo you've certainly done your backers proud. The new ouya folks.
ill take the wheelie board lol.
same!!
+Leith Loulou what do you think of the 2 wheel self balancing scooters?
+Sun Jimi that would be cool
Sun Jimi they aren't that hard to ride and are fun to ride
+Leith Loulou i got one
You guys should make hover skates
What's the song in the background? I hear it everywhere but I still don't know what i's called lol
This sort of tech could have some practical application applied in non-recreational activities. Imagine moving heavy loads around on a much larger board?
Well this is practical as fuck...
James McGowan There will never be an industrial use for this thing.
+OU812 yeah, I'm sure people said that about computers as well when they were first developed
***** No. I don't people said that about computers.
At least the segway can be used outside of a special copper room.
Yeah but it's not a true hover board, despite its name. Just a Segway without the handlebars
And explodes easer
+friendsANDsuch American and Japanese made recalled cars kills people lol
That's completely different they don't hover
Yeah but they blow up and have wheels. This is a prototype and it's better
I want my Whitebox to look like a companion cube, and I want it tethered to my cell phone via bluetooth so I can have it follow me around :P
Does anyone know the song's name played from 2.47?
0:29 most overcompensating handshake ever
into the bush what a cop out.... if you are going to do it... break it
I mean obviously it doesn't work as a "board" but as a technical achievement its certainly interesting. Question is what practical application can it really have? Some for of tram or train possibly which doesn't require super cooling...?
I suggest a rethink by just miniaturizing existing hovercraft tech and combine it with gyroscopic controls that move air flaps underneath, dependent on how the rider leans.
children in africa could have eaten that yellow hoverboard
wtf do you mean you stupid tart
+charles appiah aboagye it is a joke
+Davis Darvill yeah I know what is the situation it was a joke
Renovski kk
My Channel you make zero fucking sense xD , sad little kid
waste of copper....
stick to air propulsion just direct the air pressure frome and the board. will move much faster
it would be highly unstable you would go to lean to propel and it would flip and propel itself into the ground
Then you make it flatter and wider
Krimunk Morin so do I believe you, or some professionals...
Coal Mine Gaming
You should believe who ever is makes more sense and has an argument with merit behind it..
Theyre design has flaws that no ammount of engineering wizardry is going to solve.
Copper floors arent cheap.
Electromagnetic impulse controls arent cheap.
Lithium ion batteries strong enough and lomg lasting enough to make something like this work is a sci fi wet dream.
Figuring out how all this plays into balancing just isnt going to happen.
Plain and simple.
On the otherhand you have more tried and true concepts like the hovercraft and low flight aircraft that have the potential to work fine if scaled down.
With working models of hovering motorcycles that can go around 40 miles an hour.
And jet proppelled surf boards that are surprisingly stable, it would seem then the mire practical route is further study of fluid dynamics and figuring out the right design for an air board.
Does compressed air solve balancing issues?
Most likely No because its always going to be a flying panel with functionally no leverage besides its source of propulsion.
This problem would only be worse for a magnet system since you cant predict anything its just like sitting on a frictionless surface and expecting to have control.
At least with air power your shifting weight can shift the direction of propulsion to correspond to it.
It is ,also more practical than copper layered skate parks that oxidize the moment they sit in the environment.
And by far more energy efficient than electro magnets the very application of which, requires that one increase the electrical resistance to ludicrous amounts before ever reaching any tangibe fliating effect.
Am I supposed to believe someone who says "Theyre design has flaws that no ammount of engineering wizardry is going to solve." I don't know what you meant by it, but I will try to figure it out. Here it goes.
They are a design flaw, and they cannot be fixed by any types of plastic surgery? Am I close?
If you still don't get it, I'm mocking your grammar.
i would like to know were this is going? what use is it going to be in domestic use or industrial? i cant see a use for it as it stands at the moment as who is going to place copper plates down to create the magnetic field it needs? maybe it will take advantage of the metal stones in concrete or ashfelt or something along those lines i dont know i just cant wrap my head around how it will work.
All these people getting mad about how this isn't practical. IT'S A HOVERBOARD, HOW WOULD YOU EVER THINK IT'S PRACTICAL, IT'S JUST FUN AF!
@Ken M they say in the kickstarter exactly how it works, you can't blame them for people not reading past "hoverboard".
What's with that super awkward handshake? ;)
Now you see this? You see the thing this guy is riding on? THAT my friends is a motherfucking hoverboard! All you people on segways claiming you have a hoverboard make me sick!
+Nas im your fan
Sorry such trivial crap upsets you so much.
So if everyone started telling you they had a space ship that only works underwater you wouldn't be annoyed?
Nope- people say stupid crap everyday- life is much more peaceful this way. Sorry you are so easily disturbed. Live and let Live- Let it go- Dude you hang on to tight to this stupid crap and you're bitter about it. I guess trolls that are insulting or just disagree with you to piss you off do not have to work very hard.
+Fatine Elmalaki aprens a écrire
what is this sick beat called at 3 min. dou?
how long does i take until the batteries are empty ;)
why cant they put this technology in shoes and have hover shoes
It wouldn't provide very much stability.
That's like asking why they don't just make surf board shoes.
Because you would need a backpack full of batteries for just a few minutes hover time, and it would only work copper surfaces.
but still it would be kewl
+Five of Awesome much better than Heelies.
bruh ur shoes would be f*cking huge
I honestly dont really see the point of hovering boards, besides it looking cool and just really sasifying
keo kik Cause why not. I think it could maybe save on tire rubber. I dunno. Cool though
You just said it
whats going on it's also about demand. If anyone actually made a working, functioning, usable, affordable hoverboard, then they would make more money than they ever spent on developing it
they needa make a whole huge park like that, with slim and sleeker boards !
What's the first thing to disappear in a copper skate park? Like the morning after it opened
Why would someone buy these? These are so far from being something we can use.
R & D
People say that until the technology develops further.
+Senen Catarata the technology is based on the fact that the ground is always specific. you can't ride this on the asphalt or the grass, etc. So it's very limited.
Yay I will stick to the one will wheels
Don't trash this its ten times better than anything you could make and it takes time to do these things in little to no time there will be hoverboard class in school
THIS IS NOT A HOVERBOARD, IT IS A SCAM, WATCH THE VIDEO THAT THUNDERF00T CREATED ABOUT IT.
I watched that video before, and while this thing was over dramatized to a large degree, it does levitate.
Ha. No. I promise you that neither myself, nor WIRED magazines (nor any of the other outlets who write about it) would be interested in writing about it if it were a hoax. In fact, exposing hoaxes is something we love to do. This thing is very real and it really hovers. Cross my heart.
+atomixfang www.theverge.com/tldr/2015/10/22/9587400/hendo-hoverboard-back-to-the-future-day
just stupid old shit
So you are saying this thing will hover rocks and non magnetic material one day ? Because that's what those people were saying when they asked for money.
i like how there have been hovering things for a long time
what is the title of the song in 3:00
don't want be negative but is see this no more than a toy , a really expensive toy that you can only use in a small area and nothing more, but a cool toy.
Sttu
+Michael Baker I think it means
Shiningamy, Toys Triumph yoU
+GamingBrotube shinigami*/shinikami
+THEshinigamy18 Yeah, the board is just a toy. But this same company started this to use the same technology to potentially save buildings from earthquakes... iirc.
my mom's worked friends said that about watching tv programs from a pc... altough yes it will probably not happen since it draw a huge ammount of power to keep it up all the time.Roger N
it's like 1mm from the ground, might as well take the wheels one
so they replaced the top of 1.0 and added a skateboard.....
great... really helps
love the beginning 😂
That girl has thick hips, just saying. Not taking anything away from her intelligence as a person. She just has nice thick hips
What if a fat person uses it?
It can carry up to 500 pounds. They put a sumo wrestler on the original one.
Brent Rose Oh... I uh, knew that.
+McKnighty fat people shouldn't be riding it, lol its gonna give them a reason to start exercising. having a goal in life as they say
What if a copper floor is placed underneath in the main points of control and then when 3 inch this foam circles to hide them from sight not only would it be good for anywhere the foam would make it street safe
thought it was using 2 em plates with different size/power to generate force to lift x and y(board and person on top) in the 2/4 circles:/
omg ive never been first
ok OKAY WHAT M8 U WANT SOME?

Highly impractical and gimmicky.. First, needs copper surface to work, copper is not cheap.. Second, whats the point of a hoverboard if it only hovers .000000002 inches off the ground?
+bliglum there ''end plan'' is to put in onder buildings so when an earthquake hits it would lift up the building and safe the people inside.
Nobody understands that they are still researching and testing this shit. The first God damn phone wasn't a smartphone so chill
+bliglum And that's why they call them prototypes... you have to start somewhere and that's exactly what they are doing.
Clown
Term Go ahead. Call me a clown if it makes you feel better. But unfortunately, there is no getting around the need for the expensive metal base. And due to the limitations of magnetic fields, it's not going to hover much higher either, they might bring it up to .02!
So, even at the furthest of development, this could be at best a theme park attraction. A lame, gimmicky, sideshow attraction. It's not the hoverboard the people want.. But there could be other applications for this tech.
bliglum It's odd that something people are working on because it's their passion and they dedicate pretty much everything they have to it but you feel some weird need to get angry and spew nothing but negativity and hate. I bet you're the life of the party!
I feel sorry for miserable people like yourself.
Fucked up item. Needs constant electric field from beneath. Won't work on concrete roads. Waste of time.
ikr
Waste of money.
+TastySammiches you can't change physics
TastySammiches But they started with a wrong Idea and keep on dangling with it. All of their versions needs heavy metal surface! Believe me no 'grant money' can cover that.
STUPID GUY
I'd love to know what the music is at the start of this video. please?

Waste of time and money...
Waste of energy and space
Radiation Toaster Fridge I agree with the both of you lol
you guys are really ignorant and don't even pay attention
this is the second prototype
it has improved stability(not a lot but better), killed most of the noise it makes, and, with the new gyroscopic engine, will be better in the future
seriously stop making it sound like its the finished product
like i said if you weren't ignorant and listened to the video, she said that it can ride of any metal that conducts passive electricity
and copper is the best obviously as its a great conductor itself
ibrahim Pasha well its nothing off of you
Most ideas for the hyper loop involve moving it with electromagnets like a coil gun, not with air
0:22 I go to school in Los Gatos lol, I know where that place is
Two days ago, I was playing Santa Claus, and I had a child tell me that they wanted to hover board for Christmas. That got me thinking, are there hoverboards big enough for 40-year-old adults to ride on? And what are the weight limits on those things? There should be one wide enough and heavy duty enough for Santa Claus himself to ride around on to give his reindeer arrest for the big night and when he’s making local appearances! Where here in Sacramento California could I find a hover board?
The technology is underway! It’s like when they started playing with static Electricity back in the 1600’s in England . Every century following, there were new discoveries leading to the electric motor and AC power electrical grid. This propelled mankind into a modern era. I’m sure in 200-300 years we will all have magical antigravity technology. The 1900’s and 2000’s will look like exactly how we look at 1600 & 1700’s now.
That should make a forward button and re-verse button and stop botton on the bord to be able to step on to control it
nothing can replace the current version of a skateboard
This was about 5 years ago…… did they hover into the sunset?
where can I buy a motor/pod type thing for a project?
This seems like it has more application as an industrial type device. For use in warehouses and such for moving around large bulk not so much for enjoyment as a "hoverboard". Still very cutting edge and awesome.
SHOTS FIRED 0:14
Whats the battery pack they use?
My first time watching this sept.9 2018) wonder why they did not start with ceramics odd .
